Grease Monkey seems kinda awful, I really think they could've done better with it. Something like: 1. Everyone can still craft a vehicle at 100% durability, assuming you have the magazines. (no change) 2. Grease Monkey lets you repair *beyond* 100% durability by 25% per rank. (And also gives +3 item vehicle storage.) 3. For every 25% above 100% durability, your vehicle is slightly faster, turns slightly better, and consumes less fuel/stamina. Basically everyone should be able to get cool vehicles, but let the players who spec into it get a lot more performance out of theirs. I dunno, part of this is me criticizing the tremendous value you get out of combat talents vs. non-combat ones, since it's hard to balance them with each other in a satisfying way (especially in a game where enemies are dynamically scaling to your level). Just feels like non-combat stuff could've been a separate progression track somehow.
@@criminalchicken499 Yeah that'd definitely solve the combat/non-combat talent issue (though you can also solve it by just having them be separate perks, or by having non-combat stuff be prereqs for combat stuff). From a game designer's perspective (and having barely played pre-1.0) there's just so much potential with what they have so far and their next steps really determine whether it has legs or just kinda dies out. Like there's a _lot_ of little balance/tuning problems, but many would be pretty easy to solve. Stuff like how Level 1 is weirdly a harder experience than Level 20+, due to the game's dynamic difficulty scaling (well, assuming you go combat talents first anyway; if you don't, then it's even harder -- and there's also the problem where maybe level 80+ my character will start weirdly being challenged again because the combat talents are all maxed out at 46 or whatever my char is currently.)

At the beginning of my adventure I chose the minibike and the other 2 players in my group stuck with the bicycle. In the end it didn't make much of a difference, we arrived at our mutual destinations at the same time, and they were able to climb the same hills that I was with the mini. For new players I'd recommend the bicycle, and skip the minibike, and wait for the motorcycle or gyrocopter.
Im first time player and im progressing slow. still using a bow
@@DJ_PHIISIX keep using upgraded bows as you unlock them if you're going for a more stealthy build. They're good for hunting animals and zombies alike at night
Driving the 4x4 in the wasteland or in any biome really destroys it. The 4x4 is too sensitive to the surroundings of the game in my opinion.
Most of damages the 4x4 when objects hit the side of wheels and heavily damages your 4x4 if objects hit the rear.
If u read The *Fireman’s Almanac#7* it reduced damage done to vehicles
Edit: IMO it’s the best vehicle in the game if used correctly..meaning on roads after u clear paths full gas tank lasted me 2-3weeks in game only need to repair 2x
4x4 downtown is also very annoying to drive with how narrow everywhere is, but it has its place for moving base etc with its huge storage
I keep my motorcycle in the 4x4 inventory for those tight places.

Yees?
@@The-Two-Five Whats with the changessss?
@@trinrage Old name was stupid so wanted to change it haha. Plus everyone calls me Two-Five anyway so thought I may as well call the channel that. And I was kinda bored of the old logo!
@@The-Two-Five I remember way long ago when I asked you if youd consider changing your name and you said absolutely not, names dont matter LOL :P
@@The-Two-Five Also, I like it :D
I almost deleted your channel because I thought it was spam

Ahh yeah I did wonder if that might happen with a couple of people, I did try and put up a community post to let people know for that reason but I know not everybody sees them. Glad you're still here!
Love the motorcycle but it doesn’t support my loot lust all the time. Break any balance but an expanded cargo mod would be nice.
And if I had a suggestion for the fun pimps it would be to make the left stick control the pitch of the gyro like every game with flying that’s ever existed.
Grease Monkey seems kinda awful, I really think they could've done better with it. Something like:
1. Everyone can still craft a vehicle at 100% durability, assuming you have the magazines. (no change)
2. Grease Monkey lets you repair *beyond* 100% durability by 25% per rank. (And also gives +3 item vehicle storage.)
Absolutely. Begging for the old leveling system, where you get better at shit by doing it
@@criminalchicken499 Yeah that'd definitely solve the combat/non-combat talent issue (though you can also solve it by just having them be separate perks, or by having non-combat stuff be prereqs for combat stuff).
Too bad I don't need this video because I just dupe all items in game
4x4 is so damn useless
Anybody else ever noticed the pocket bike symbol and the motorcycle symbol are backwards the motorcycle symbol is on the pocket bike in the pocket bike symbol is on the motorcycle... The devs need to change that
I always use Orange dye on my vehicles even the drone..I haven't built a gyro since A20 never use them just kind of a completionist impulse I reckon. I haven't built A 4x4 in a long while haven't used them since early A21 because of the damage it takes after A20 but I did use to use it In A20 but I prefer the motorcycle but the 4X4 is good for moving base...I use to haul the motor cycle in the 4X4 when going to a new area I wanted to explore park it at the trader and get the cycle out
