- In this episode, we're leaving the cove at Arid Island and heading far offshore to a deep underwater mountain to see what we can drum up from the deep. My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

Im surprised your kayak didn’t sink from the weight of your balls bro.
Hahah duly noted
😂😂
Lol
Christopher Araya it looks dangerously fun
This is my first year fishing from a kayak, but it's incredible. Thanks for helping those of us who have to go to an office for 40 hours a week live vicariously through you. Nothing better than sitting on a kayak and soaking your bait in a new body of water!
i cant help but feel the anxiety when i see their feet just dangling at the side of the kayak 😟
Mercy Wolff I hope your joking. If you aren’t then your just stupid
water was crystal clear, nothing could surprise them.

Like i said, nothing could surprise them.
I know nothing can compare to being there but man I gotta say I felt like I was there. The way it was shot, edited with the music just awesome bro! Your a film maker now.
tonno1616 100% agree
Thanks brother
“Just assume it’s the camera, I’m never talking to you”
I spit out my rice 🤣

Hi Martyn! 😂♥️. Mom’s not too crazy about those sharks!! Keep your feet in that Tupperware boat please!! Awesome video ♥️😘

@@lowy3050 that’s that mans mother!
@@lowy3050 bro its his mum probs
I went kayaking for the first time the other day and got terrified when I saw a seal, don’t know how you can deal with sharks 😂
Robert I’m so impressed with how much you’ve grown in the past 5 years. This major network ready stuff!
Thanks brother!
Ha ha..." try and get this guy up quick", he showed you who was in charge of the pace. I know this is a lot of work to create these adventures. Thanks for sharing your wonderful life with us!
Robert, I was just thinking today that I haven't seen any of your videos in my feed in the past few months and then this video popped up! Great day fishing, man! I'm thoroughly enjoying watching this!
You are living every fishermans dream

This series is amazing. I cannot wait for the next episode!
Thanks buddy! Coming tuesday
First fish:Thyrsites atun, the snoek, is a long, thin species of snake mackerel found in the seas of the Southern Hemisphere. This fish can reach a length of 200 centimetres SL though most do not exceed 75 centimetres SL. The maximum recorded weight for this species is 6 kilograms.
Yes, I wrote "snoek" in the video?
Just assume, I ain’t talking to you! 😂 😂 😂
i never talk to you lol
Mercy Wolff that was so Gansta! I luv it!
@@TheMass33 it was pretty good huh XD
Robert - your energy and enthusiasm for what you do is absolutely contagious. Keep the videos coming!

Reminds me of my one time deep sea fishing, good memories :]
He is the skipper I'll in trust through 60 70 knots trust me he us the man for it!
Looking forward to more videos love them all
So glad you're enjoying em mate
18:50 who saw the plyers drop. 🤣🤣😂😂🤣😂😂😂
Zen kiah lmao rip
Thought the same lol. They're attached though.
He probably acted like he didn’t realize. 😂😂
@@Toneskii28 why should he because they are of course attached to the boat/kayak how ever you are supposed to say it
Damn those Kings can fight. FYI never thought the towing of the kayaks would work. Good stuff guys. “I’m never talking to you!” Hahaha
Man I’d love to go out in deep water on a yak too... but I value my life too much 😂😂 hopefully one day, for now I’ll just live it out through you guys! Keep up the vids they’re awesome
Snoek's quite popular in the Western Cape of SA. Grilled on open flames or turned into pate, it's quite a common catch out here. Didn't know it was called a barracouta in NL/Aus
Completely foreign to me before this trip. Really cool fish!
I've been fishing for 35 years and I've never seen two hooks in the same fish. Classic.
Couldn't believe it, especially on artificials
“Just assume I’m always talking to the camera, I’m NEVER talking to you”😂😂😂
Hahaha
“I ditched the grind to go fish and travel” if it was only that easy lol
It isn’t easy at all. But it IS that simple.
@@YakFishField Perfect response man. Good luck to you brother.
@Larry David He says, posting a youtube comment.
He said corporate grind, theres a difference
Thats a poetic ending, sir. So good. Thanks for sharing, im already looking forward to the next one!
Thanks buddy. Tuesday!
Saving a clownfish one barracouta at a time!
Good times there, thanks for coming to NZ and enjoying our country.
I LOVED it. I’ll be back!!
Great video Robert... stoked to see my buddy Paul Rountree, say hi to hi from me. Steven Tapp what a legend! Must get out to NZ one day. Such a looooong way from the Uk :-(
So much amazing fishing in NZ. I live in the area featured in this series, but Northland, Hawkes Bay, Bay of Plenty, Stewart Island all amazing. White Island is spectacular too - fishing with an active smoking island volcano behind you.
Man I would love to fish there. One of my bucket list places to fish in the world . Great video Robert!
Same here! I’ll def be going back!
Those kings look like fun on light tackle! Thanks for sharing the adventure and the Epic footage.
They’re a blast!
@@YakFishField I know you were ready to get back on land. 5 days at Sea in cramped quarters has to be tough.
The rod bend was to good to be true 🤣
Haha yep
@@YakFishField type of rod ?
6min.50s
We call that fish a Snoek here in Cape Town.
Loads of our commercials lives rely on catching these fish. All caught by handline.
They have an art to working the handlines. 🙌
Great video as always!! 🔥🔥🔥
Snoek and barracouta are the same fish. Almost every fish has more than one name due to local/regional differences
@@YakFishField Same fish different name, same sound on the reel! Zrrrrrrrrt!! 😉👉👉
Hahaha mad video bro! You got my heart racing at the start thinking your rod was gone hahaha
props to you, you could have so easily called this video
'12 FOOT HAMMEREDHEAD ATTACKS LONE KAYAKER FISHING FOR 25 FOOT GROUPERS, GONE WRONG!"
Hahaha
Those barracudas remind me of Finding Nemo.
Btw you’re awesome at fishing!
I know i’m late, but this is like my DREAM! You guys are living legends!
You can book this trip with us in 2021! Fishvillage.com
Robert Field, thanks mate, but i live in Norway and are only 14 years old😅😅 but if i have the change i will take it!!!
Glorified Tupperware! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
There's nothing quite like hooking onto a big hoodlum kingfish. 😁
18:54 i thought those pliers were gonners

Excellent adventure!
Great group of people people and frost fish is a new species I've never seen before. Too fun.
Stay 😎✌️
14:10 feels bad to get roasted bout how little your “rod” is🤣💀
Oh I get it cuz p e n i s
Rob I love you brother.. I wish I could join you fishing one day. Since becoming crippled I watch your shows to keep me grounded with the water.... Keep on 🎣
after the previous rod snapping I'm wondering how on earth can that twig like thing withstand all that pressure.
That shark eating the Cuda was some dope fooyage
1st fish here at Malaysia we call it BARACOTE...😋
Yeah in English it’s baracouta, similar
I yearn for your lifestyle! New Zealand is also a wonderful place! Thank you for always having fun videos 😊
I love NZ!
Wow i love fishing, watching your video amaze me. Hope someday i can buy rods to. 2nd hand is ok. From PH... fish on sir.
Injoy your Videos , I'm here at home in Charleston S.C. I've fished in Dunoon , Scotland. For Cod and Haddock, Good Stuff ,Thanks, Turn and Burn.
Hey you should come to SOUTH AFRICA in EASTERN CAPE to fish GAM TOOS river plzz big KOBS
I’ve been kayak fishing in norther Minnesota and just pulling in decent but not huge northerns and bass is scary because of how easily you can tip. I don’t think I’d ever go deep sea kayak fishing but it sure looks fun!
Some kayaks are more stable than others. My brand is crazy stable, you could stand up in it with ease. lightningkayaks.com
I think everyone wants to give up their current life situation for this lol
Trips will be available soonb
Great episode!
Towards the end of the video I was getting the urge to yell 'get your feet in the kayak!'...
Hahaha yeeeaaahhh
Keeps the feet warm, especially if it's windy.
“Let me get a shot of him for you guys”
Proceeds to slap bloody fish in water to draw hammerhead closer when in a kayak.
Worked out okay 🤷♂️
pretty incredible dude! love this series!
God that looks like SO MUCH FUN!!!!
It is!!
Ok, thx Robert, ws worth the wait, EPIC!
9:56 You call it a "closer inspection". I call it "he's coming to see if he wants to eat you".

Decoma proof that go pros are a thing (but yes, The is very much round)
Yep
Awesome video, that kingfish jigging is rad!
Too much fun
19:00 give me my like
Nope
On the west coast of California we call those yellowtail kingfish just yellowtail. The full name being yellowtail amberjack. Extremely good eating fish, gotta love them.
Remember to release the first fish you catched when you go fishing
Why

Anxiety hits me when I see you dangle your feet 😅

Robert Field how dangerous would that be, I know sharks don’t target humans, but still.
hello..I'm from malaysia..it's fun to watch this video..the results are very exciting
very interesting scenery
Thank you. I would love to fish Malaysia one day. We have had clients here from Malaysia
17:00 if your not taking it then why keep it and kill it.
Edit: what I mean is why are you catching and killing it if you ain’t even taking it home. Your just catching and killing them for fun not to eat.
We kept everything we killed?
If you ain’t eating it than you shouldn’t be catching it. That’s what I was trying to say. Unless you did and I just didn’t understand.
Joshua Spath let me guess your under 15 and watching random vids? Why dont you look up sportfishing on google
Wonderful time!
Ой, ну от хто так рыбалит?!
EP 9 Down Under is awesome, Great vid Rob !!!

That’s sick, I’ve never landed a cobia! Come close several times
Isnt this the same episode as last week????
Probably got demonetized by UA-cam and had to be posted again.
I posted it on accident last week for a few hours. You’re one of 900 that saw it early (and out of order)
I don’t fish or kayak but this video was so entertaining 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
After quitting your job, do you make a living off your UA-cam channel?
Yes
I love their awesome sense of humour nice kayaks.
Thanks!
I was actually bit by a barracuda in Cancún.
Oh snap. Did you have jewelry on?
Robert Field Not at all, I saw the barracuda 3 hours earlier while swimming and decided to get out immediately! I went to play beach volley ball and got sandy, so I decided to clean off. When I was getting out it bit my finger and severed a tendon. I had to get emergency surgery and I had 6 months of physical therapy. Another surgery was included for movement because I couldn’t straighten or bend my finger correctly. The bite was on Christmas Eve last as well. I’m 13 now and it was one of the most terrifying things I’ve experienced.
Awesome episode brother!!!! I saw the hammer before you said what it was. I had an encounter with one about 14 ft my first time off shore!!! Scared the crap outta me. Almost as bad as the spinner shark almost landing in my lap the day after. SMH
Spinners make me more nervous with those acrobatics
You like to listen to yourself talk dont you. LMAO
Shut up bro
Hey Rob, love the videos and I understand that you are busy with life but, I fish the saltwater primarily and although I enjoyed the video you made going over the fresh water gear you used, could you please make a followup video going over your saltwater gear, thank you and keep up the awsome videos.
