I have been on the hunt for a 5 star read for what feel like forever, I have had medicore after medicore read and saw this challenge around booktube so decided to try it!

Hi, I just discovered your channel & love the calming, cosy atmosphere. It was so lovely to see the smile on your face when you were enjoying reading again. I'm kind of in the opposite situation with reading, my first few books of the year were brilliant & I'm now trying to find my next good book, but everything I try reading doesn't measure up!

Thank you ever so much for your kind words.
I’m sorry to hear that but in truth, i’ve been in your situation many times, it’s quite an awful place to be in and I have some things that I usually do to help me, that could hopefully help you too!
Firstly, I do a ‘try a chapter’. I pick a handful of books out, wether that be from the library, my own shelves or on audio (however best you like to read). I then read a chapter of them each and whichever chapter holds my intrest the most, i proceed with that book. It’s a none commital way of getting yourself back to the motions of reading and exploring, adding back the fun factor. Another thing i do is, i go back to the last book i truly adored and almost give it a full anaylst. I review the themes and deep dive into what parts i love most and why, this then helps me pick my next read as i look for similar themes and tropes.

2:23 I've only just started this video. I did a hard DNF on this book a couple of years ago. I find the main character so unlikeable. And I think a better title would be My Year of Being a Lazy Slog😂
