I want to thank you for:
    1. Making me laugh.
    2. Encouraging me to practice more empathy.
    3. Teaching me how to maintain and appreciate the things I own in this world.
Parasocial relationships are weird and slightly embarrassing, but I’m grateful for you and your videos. Thanks. :-)

A surprising thing happened to me today - a friend called to visit but only gave me 20 minutes notice. I told them sure to come on over and except for 3 or 4 things that i had to put away, i was ready for a visitor. This has never happened for me before and it is partly because of your channel and a couple of others ( “a slob comes clean “ in particular). For me it was astounding. Thank you for all your tips.

It always amazes me how many people reach adulthood and don’t know how to clean. My mother taught me the majority of what I needed to know, but even now at 65 I still learn things I can use in my daily life.

Some people just don't understand how to keep their opinions to themselves when something isn't for them. I truly appreciate you doing videos like this because it helps those who need it and those of us who do know how to clean can maybe learn some new tricks and tips. Sharing knowledge is never a bad thing, no matter how pointless some people may think.

Once upon a time I thought I had finally grown up enough to keep my house clean. Then I got married, and it was like having a toddler without getting pregnant. Then, he died and my entire world fell apart. I love watching your channel. It helps me remember that all hope is not lost on me. I'm the eldest of 5 kids and my mother worked fulltime and then worked hard at home. I learned by observation, to clean and do laundry when I was home from school, to take the burden off my mother. I was personally motivated by my own need for cleanliness and order in my life. I also got pleasure from making order out if chaos. If I didn't iron my clothes, then the might not get ironed so I did them and expanded to do other family member's ironing. They were too young.
Really, cleaning was a normal everyday skill for me. Now I am in my seventies and finding it more difficult to keep up, but I need to keep things clean!

The spray bottle bit gave me the giggles, but now I cannot un-see the scribbles and may never sleep again until I know the marks have been erased. 😅 Yes, I own a label maker. The label maker has a label on it “Label Maker” because I do have a sense of humor. Also, I’m leaving the dishes in the sink tonight because I won’t be sleeping, then waking up to a messy kitchen. Not until the scribbles have been erased. 😂😂😂😂😂

These videos are very helpful to a lot of people.
When i was growing up we always had maids (I'm from the Philippines, it's common here) so I never learned much about keeping a place clean.
When I finally left home and worked abroad, I had to hire a cleaner weekly and watched her clean so I can learn how to do it myself eventually.
Living alone made me realize how much I didn't know about basic skills

I don’t typically comment on videos, but I felt like I needed to. I’ve been watching your videos for a while and I cannot tell you how helpful this video is. I grew up with two parents that were hoarders so cleaning was not a thing and often attempting to clean became a very negative experience growing up. Cleaning just in general was a skill I learned as an adult when I moved out, but maintenance cleaning is still a working process. Having routine cleaning broken down is appreciated greatly. I also wanted to mention how therapeutic your hoarding house cleaning videos have been, not just because of the cleaning, but the empathetic way you address the issue of hoarding. It’s hard to explain to a person who hasn’t dealt with hoarding that the hoard/ mess is just the physical symptom of the disease and think you address it perfectly. Thank you so much for every video.

I was raised by my Virgo Grandma who had her kids during Great Depression as well as WWII. She was a great teacher but fear was a real motivator in my childhood.
I’ve had two gens of kids and suck at teaching since I don’t use fear and can’t find real motivation for them to see helping helps us all and helps them be more self sufficient.

He’s helped maybe ten who did not have a clue. I mean nothing. They couldn’t put a wash on.😮. One kid never washed up his pots and plates and declared, I have no clean stuff😂. May I gently suggest that if a person has moose, you'll need to sanitize your food prep surfaces every single time.
They'll get up on those counters when you're not there to tell them to get down.

I makes my brain feel free and relaxed when my house is in order. I can't relax and maybe do something for myself like play my dad's old records or paint my nails. I always think if you keep on top of things it's so much less work. Thanks mack we see lots of declutter videos on the Internet but I don't think I've seen actual how to clean videos. P. S. My cats are very dusty 😼

Hi, Mack I LOVE that tap/ faucet you have there! I would love one of those but I'm not sure they sell them here in Australia, I'd have to look it up. Thanks again for a great video! xx

Okay, not seeing anyone else mention it: you knocked the cap off the screw on your toilet, and the last shot of it about 17.5 minutes in showed it still missing.

Hot tip. When pouring alcohol into a bottle, pour the alcohol first, then write on the bottle with a permanent marker. If you spill the alcohol down the side, it will smudge the writing.

My mom always told me to clean the house. I don’t mean like some kids who were used as “slave labor” just that I was the only daughter and “girls cleaned” while boys “cut grass and fixed things”. The only problem was that no matter how clean I would make anything my mom would wash it over after I washed it even when it was completely spotless. She would always comment about how I wasn’t doing it good enough (even when it was cleaner than when she cleaned it). After a while I didn’t clean it that well since she was going to clean it after me anyway. 😢 When I moved out on my own my place was spotless.
I had to move back in with my parents after leaving my ex and first stayed at a domestic violence shelter. Moving back in… it started all over again even though when I didn’t live with them she said my place was always clean and spotless. I gave up.

Here's a tips from a Swedish homeowner: I use fire to clean the kitchen once every week. When the shit burnt up you install a new kitchen and that is very clean. It doesn't work that well in the bathroom. I've found that the toilet doesn't burn, it just cracks. Stupid toilet! But remember to have the fire egstinguister (how the hell do you write that word?) close to you so you don't burn down the hole house. And please, don't forget to take out your moose before you start the fire. The moose will be very pissed for at least a week if you don't

I organize my papers in a symmetrical way and by the next morning, my cat has created chaos out of it. But I’m the “out of sight out of mind” with things like mail and paperwork, so I’m on a mission to find a Watson(cat)-proof way to contain the pile without putting it away. Life with Cats 🤪
