In USA 99.99% people usually get mortgage from bank to built a house. After completion they rent a room or portion to pay off the mortgage from that rental income. If you have land, bank financing is very good option these days as interest rate is low. Secondly, you can sell it and generate revenue for construction

Most of your expense goes into finishing You should consider few things when you get to finishing or even you start your conversation 1 Try to get honest persons to carry out your work including shops where you are buying your material 2 when you start finish try to use new things which can save you money ,for example instead of plastering inner side of the house get pvc wall panels they are long life quick to install and save you money on cement ,sand and labour Always get quote for any thing you want to buy from different shops. Don’t pay up front are more then work otherwise you will end up chasing people and wasting your time I can write more but it will be too long 😊
