All my boys are here! Glad you guys got to talk about Strange Darling. Easily the most fun I’ve had in a theater in years as I went in knowing nothing. It’s right under Dune Part Two as my favorite of the year. Probably in my top 5 of the decade, honestly. Great show this week, guys!
I think for me the James Earl Jones scene that was my favourite has to be the scene where Mufasa talks to Simba at night after the hyena ambush. The emotional range he brings to the scene is wonderful. Starts off angry at his son for doing something so dangerous, then vulnerable as he admits he was scared thinking he might lose him, then it gets playful when they joke about the hyenas being even more scared, and then sincere and fatherly explaining in more depth about what death will mean for Simba and how even when he is gone it'll be okay. A wonderful character moment he brought such life to.
I saw Strange Darling after you guys mentioned it on last week’s episode. Enjoyed it very much! The acting and the photography were amazing! I agree Willa should get a nomination. Have a great weekend ✌️
Crumbl cookies are terribad imo. Its like boxed cake mix masquerading as a cookie, I would equate it to how bad Whataburger is. ;) Also, finally got a chance to watch "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice," and was wondering if that was Trump in line, is that how he died, by dying himself in gold, suit and tie and all?
@Speak no evil: the ending of the original is so lame, I hope they did better in this one. Still remaking a movie so fast after the original, just don't have a lot of drive to watch this one.
James Earl Jones played a b52 bombardier in Dr. Stangelove and this was part of the footage that Lucas was using to cut together a sequence of how he wanted the trench scene in Star Wars to look. I imagine his choice for the voice had something to do with that.
Seriously. Why is Kevin always so worried-looking? Most of the time his face has this frown, like there's something really wrong with something he's looking at. 🤷 It bothers me. It stresses me out.
@@Retseadog , Kevin is a public performer. There's actual training available for performers so that their facial and verbal communication works for them as well as possible. I don't understand why some people don't put enough effort to that. "BEING YOURSELF" and putting some actual effort to improve your communication skills, both facial and verbal, are not mutually exclusive things.
@@jcp1984again not taking you seriously man. He’s just a dude doing a podcast talking about movies he likes. Stop watching if you don’t like… his face?

What my original comment is about is the only criticism I have for him. Otherwise he's fantastic.

you know what would also stress you out? Someone obsessing over your facial movements. There’s some things you keep to yourself.
