Addon kits are cool, but you're right; we need a Hook that turns into a leg and a Prowl that can form the upper body for a true Prowlastator.

You can remove the original head, it is a pain, but, if you fan get a small thing in there to slowly wedge it apart, it will open. I did this to repaint the eyes a metallic red.
Absolutely! I have done that several times.
Soaking the head in warm water prior to splitting helps.
I used a hobby blade and swapped the heads, looks great. I also picked up the PE06 and 07 sets. The figures needed weapons and some upgraded limbs. I only added the mixmaster PE part, the rest of devastator is the DNA kit with some toyhax labels. Love the end result, the devastator I’ve always wanted!!!
Wow this kit is exactly what I was waiting for!! 1) I can now have UW dev with the lighter face 2) the forearm extensions looks great 3) the red visor is a fantastic edition b/c the eyes look dead unless they're turned on. That way, you can have the red glow without having to constantly have the eyes on!!!

The Perfect Effect Mixmaster cab is easily the best of the three, and I quite liked the Hook arm beefinator and purple thigh covers, though the Scavenger shovel is comically oversized and I didn’t care for the shoulder assemblies or the ball jointed wrists on their hands. I ordered this set (last November [sigh]) primarily for the shoulder, wrist, and hand assemblies and the LED-infused head (love that they kept the same head sculpt-the one area for which CW figures almost always shine). Thanks for the review, as both you and Peaugh revealed the shoulder swivel that was not highlighted or even mentioned in DNA’s test videos. Hopefully this set will ship soon.

The head from DNA's kit can be added from the to hooks natural assembly... but in order to do so, you will also need a 1.4 mm flathead screwdriver. Once the screw has been removed from the back the head mounted to Hook's assembly will show a slight gap on the right lower side... take the 1.4mm flathead and work it into the opening to pry the head apart. (if you are worried about damaging Hook don't be... the plastic is durable and the figure is sold enough to hold up so don't be afraid to apply a lil pressure if need.)
There seems to be a 5mm hole in the side of the purple shoulder/cannon piece. With a little engineering, a insert for each arm could be made that could tab in to the hole.

Finally got UW4 (missed it before it sold out and wasn't willing to pay the inflated price). This vid sold me on the shoulders, forearm, and hand detail in a way the ad art doesn't.
If it included something like the Dr. Wu telescoping hook would be the perfect kit everyone needs for CW or UW Devastator.

Yupp. This is going to be the best kit so far (i've handled the other two) and I am VERY happy this is finally coming out. Release date says end of June. I hope that is still happening.
The fact that they delayed it to polish it up was a good call, too. I've been waiting for this add-on kit to drop... the only problem is the poor Maple Dollar. :(
Swapping the heads is possible. I took a hobby knife to the cut of the head and just kept slicing until the super glue was cut enough. Eventually, I just rocked the blade on the corned of the head and it went in alot, to which I could then pry it apart.
Funny I’m getting devastator my birthday and I’m not gonna be able to get the kit because I cannot find it on the big bad toy store but if I have enough money left over I will definitely I will certainly get the upgrade kit for predicating once it’s not sold out

I was able to remove the original head and put DNA's in its place. there are four pins in each corner that are glued.

Im not really expecting anyone to see this, but in all truth, if you plan on using the DNA head all the time, why not risk it and just break the original head in order to remove it?...
If you break it and the new head fits then success, if you break it and the new head doesn't fit then nothing's changed since your still having to partsform the head regardless.
I be cannabalizing all 3 kits for my 2 Devys (CW + SDCC) as I like parts of each. Don't have the UW Dev, otherwise I'd do a 3 way comparison. :)

Yes, there is a ton of glue. I haven't been able to get a DK-01 so I can't do it myself but it is possible. Hobby Knife for your thoughts?
Hey vangelus try take a flat head screw driver and pry it into the seem of the head and gently move it back and forward till it seperates
hey i took the head off the purple part of hook and got the Dk-01 head attached on there instead. fits perfectly.
i split the head by putting a knife between the plastic at the bottom left corner of the head. came apart easy. i installed the original head on the removable head component now.
wont that mean the dna head cant look left or right?

So, the UW Deva-head can be removed but you might damage it in the process,both depending on how much you force it and what tool of choice you have for penetration and widening the gaps.

I sent you a how to slide show on getting the head off. I go by Baddevastator there.
I might end up getting this, but not having a solution for the right arm is sort of a dealbreaker.
I read a comic in the one I read prowl put his head in devestator s head but there is prowlastator
Honestly this seems like the best Devy upgrade. Very poseable, and not too greebley like X2toys
The Mixmaster cab is a tad ugly though, I think Perfect Effect wins that one

Floor polish is your best bet. The kit doesn't change anything with that.
I've looked at the perfect effect Devy but the thing is why is there a prowl head on it?

So for someone who only owns the Unite Warriors version, do you think that what it adds is worthwhile if the new head and thigh fillers aren't important?
Mine's primarily been living on the Unite Warriors version. Thigh fillers aren't really any less important on that one, the gaps are still there
Still prefer NBK devastator compared to any of the CW devastators and any of the upgrade kits on the CW devastator. I could understand saying that the combined mode on the CW is better but the individual constructicons on the NBK, it's not even an argument. NBK just destroys the CW in every way except combined and even then it is debatable.

all these upgrade kits and not one of them will hold the cabs to the treads for the arms, so this kit will be a pass just because of that.
