Quick question, what would you recommend to loosen up Devastator’s elbow because loosening the screw doesn’t fix it?
Apparently the United Warriors Scrapper has an elbow. I’m used to these figures in Unite Warriors and Legends having new paint schemes, to be more in line with the cartoon, which I genuinely appreciate, especially the luscious silver hubcaps, but a new piece of articulation? Are you kidding me? Has-Tak was clearly pulling on our legs.
I got the UW version of this set years ago cuz of the touch-ups it had over the CW version (the better joints for the smaller lads, the flip-out visor for Devastator's head, the better paint which also gave Mixmaster's vehicle the more accurate truck foot in limb mode etc), but I kept that at my grandad's place for a bit and after he passed and my folks were moving stuff out, it got lost in the process. whoops ^^;
I've been debating whether or not I should get the Combiner Wars Devastator. Those legs are kinda weird and I'm hoping if I do get this KO, none of my constructicons' limbs snap off because that would really piss me off, regardless of how cheap it is. I enjoy my CW Devistator but agree the thigh knees are horrible. I would have preferred them lower but you can see with Predaking how they got better at doing it which is making me excited for Menasor.
Tempting at this scale, but yeah, that Mixmaster alt mode I'd classify as more distracting flaw than deal breaker at that price. At Titan price, I can see where the salt deposits would be on the original.
If you want a good Devastator, the the Oversized Ko of the Generation toy Gravity Builder, made from Jinbao, is probably the best option out there. I want it too and you can find it on eBay WITH THE UPGRADE KIT, PLUS SHIPPING FOR AROUND 200$! That's a steal.
Im not a big combiner fan but this looks pretty good Althou why is scrapper the leader when he is the right leg? Like why isnt it the one that turns into the head Also I think the hook thing thats at the left of his head coud make for a cool canon
The crane on Hook is criminally under utilized. As for Scrapper being the leg, I mean why does he have to be the head to be leader. Besides I'd think the leader would want to not be the thing everyone's going to be shooting at, plus it just means he's carrying the team on his back.
IDK If you already seen this one or not but i personally like nbk Devastator (gravity builder KO). For a combiner of His size and price he's very good imo. The worst things about the individual bots is wierd looking arms on scrapper, the grip of body builders on them all and hands that are a pain to flip out when put in wrong. They are also surprisingly light. The combined mode has some proportion and balance issues but it's not impossible to work with.
My guess is that these guys were originally meant to be this size but someone at Hasbro said that the titan meant for cw needed longer to bake so they had to just upscale devy my guess is that that titan was Trypticon because itd make a lot more sense especially as when has a line EVER had more than one titan so I think this just makes more sense to me
I don't see it being like that, this is far too small for being what they intended. Though I do agree that these were probably supposed to be closer to deluxe size, or the very least small voyager as opposed to extremely big a voyager.
Since all my other combiners are the G2 versions (barring Abominus but he's colourful enough to fit in), I'm tempted to pick up the yellow-orange version of this set... well, _was_ until I found out about the risk of Mixmaster's busted arm.
How is his right shoulder for rotation? On the original the Scavenger arm is too weak to hold up if he's holding the blaster in that arm. Also how well does Bonecrusher's crotch hold together?
Bonecrushers crotch holds together ok, I've seen people talk about the crotch on the larger set, and yeah it's not a problem like that is. And Ironically scavenger is the stiffer arm. I find that he had no trouble holding any pose I've tried to get him in.
@@PerspectiveEnd well that's all I needed to hear, I'm probably gonna get this as I am bringing down the scale of what I collect. It would either be this, or Maketoys Giant.

Eventually. It's just people were losing interest over time, and it was really starting to get to me just how much they were breaking every time I reviewed them.
I have the official one, and this one is definitely the kind you can give a child. In fact, siege skyfire’s backpack goes up to the official one’s waist, so i want to know how tall skyfire is against your devastator.

Very cool KO. I got Devastator KO of a 3rd Party version but i haven't checked which of the many versions. Long Haul has a ladder in the front. I dont mind his weak joints but not being able to hold his weapon really sucks. LOL!
Hey Perspectiveend Do you think my and probably many other people's Idea for A Ss86 Devestator is a Good Idea with 4 of them being Voyager classes and 2 of them being leader classes ( Long haul and Hook ).
I mean it'd be awesome to have something that big, but I feel like the original version of this guy was basically that bunch of Voyagers. And You know me. I'd like to see it with out Partsforming pieces. But your ideas definitely a fine one.
@@PerspectiveEnd It's only slightly and noticeable only when looking close while they're standing next to each other, but scales better than the CW version.
funilly enough, I also have a KO devastagor (the SS ine thought, except for Mixmaster and Longhaul). and yeah, thinking about it now, I def paid to much for it but at the same time, it has some die-cast and a few figures have some extra parts.

Edit: Feeling like you missed out on a official product, buy a KO/4th Party version that's more worth while supporting the actual product (don't give a damn if it may not be it, it's the company who did it first while 4th party helped out fixing issues)
Glad to see you cover this guy, even if it’s a knock off. I bought the hasbro one on Amazon. The first one I got had been replaced with a bat man an Superman action figures. The second one I got one of the arms broke off. The third one was fine. And they refunded my purchase and I got it for free because of the first two being as they were. I love this guy. The new age and the other one I don’t like because they cheat and use a torso with head. It looks good, but that’s not a real combiner in my opinion.
@@PerspectiveEnd Someone bought devastator from Amazon and put the Batman and superman action figures inside of it and taped the package back up and pretended it was still brand new. So they were able to keep the devastator by putting some toys inside and Amazon resold it as brand new. They didn’t check to make sure the person returning it was ripping them off. So the first one I bought was the one with random toys inside the devastator box.
Mix masters truck is actually the modern equivalent of the old truck, and it's a more common truck. I have the UW version, so my figure has silver and both grills, making it whichever I want, but I still don't get the complaints since it still looks cool. Also UW devastator has better elbows for the figures, and is just better over-all
I have never seen one of these in real life and I grew up on construction sites. I still see conventional ones all the time, but they tend to be the full engine type.
some things as someone who bought the cw and this version this ko is acrtually slightly taller than skyfire and in my opinion scales THE BEST with the ss86 dinobots, 2 remember this was combiner wars where not too long ago the best jetfire they had was the generations one, so the fact still to this day you can say the sculpting is good, says how good it has aged BUT be careful when handling it, bc of being a ko it might have slight tolerance issues, mainly but not limited to: bonecrusher hinge joint of his arms and head, devastator chest plate wings, their pegs are massively small so any weird and rushed way might result in breakage and finally hook the peg on its legs has broken on both of my copies, it doesnt really matter at the grand scheme of this but it would be best to handle with care, and the head can break due to pegging, note that out of the things i said i only expierienced hook legs, so its not like toyworld that breaks if you look at it for too long, but better be careful with it
@@PerspectiveEnd I can Guarantee It won't be, Not only does the Articulation not live up to Today's Standards, they're also not accurate to G1, Plus I'm pretty sure they Didn't release it so they could Make all the Sculpts, or fix them
of all the devastators I always preferred tfc hercules for me to date is still the best devastator in terms of scale with the cw combiners (although you need the upgrade kits but I think it also works without them), of cw devastator the only thing I didn't like was long haul it looks horrible to me.
Mixmaster‘s alt-mode is weird but I don’t get the hate for it. It’s still a cement mixer. It’s still green purple and silver, has 6 wheels, a cement drum, the robot and leg modes still look nearly identical to G1. Oh no! Now instead of reversing to wherever you want your cement poured you have to drive forward! Oh the huge manatee! Would people throw the same kind of fit if Long hail turned into one of those regular 6-wheeled dump trucks instead of a four wheeled earth mover? Or if Ratchet turned into an actual ambulance for once? Or if Optimus turned into a long-nosed tru-oooooooooh. Oh yeah they would. Like I get it if you don’t want it, just don’t get it. But the hate for this is unreal. Even Thew of all people complained about it.
It's just weird, and ugly, and it's the only one that's completely wrong. Like if the whole set were different vehicles that'd be one thing, but he's stands out because he's the only one who's different. And it makes the foot wrong. The foot is supposed to be the cab of the truck.
i knew you would review a cw/potp combiner for this video but this was a shock. CW devastator is my favourite tf figure ever (even though i don't own one cuz they are rare and expensive) because CW devastator introduced me to the transformers franchise. I like this set. Its not great but its not terrible either. I think it would be cool if you did a week of reviews of different versions of combiner groups and other characters.
You are so damn lucky P.E, my devastator is so fucking flawed, my scrapper has no friction in the leg ball joints, they have to rely on the scooper on the back just to stand, so many pegs have terrible QC and just broke a few years back when I got him, I can barely start to fiddle with each member besides devastator himself, and he barely stays together, his chest plate is the only force allowing it to stay together. And I don’t have any real joint tightener. I should had just picked this one up, but the only upside of this is that none of the limbs had suffered major damage, so just enjoy this P.E, how ever you can
And it pretty small for titan class standards, but the only redeeming factor for this the joint tolerances are decent enough for all aspects of the set, its just the pegs and tabs that make my devastator painful to deal with
Long Haul: "Hhnnnrrrg, Lord Megatron, Im trying to sneak around the Ark... But Im dummy THICC and the clap of my ass cheeks keeps alerting the Autobots!"

Tempting at this scale, but yeah, that Mixmaster alt mode I'd classify as more distracting flaw than deal breaker at that price. At Titan price, I can see where the salt deposits would be on the original.
Yeah but at this scale, and price, it's just an annoyance and not a deal breaker.
See everyone recommends that, but I just cant get past how Swole he is.
Im not a big combiner fan but this looks pretty good
Althou why is scrapper the leader when he is the right leg? Like why isnt it the one that turns into the head
Also I think the hook thing thats at the left of his head coud make for a cool canon
The crane on Hook is criminally under utilized. As for Scrapper being the leg, I mean why does he have to be the head to be leader. Besides I'd think the leader would want to not be the thing everyone's going to be shooting at, plus it just means he's carrying the team on his back.
The devastator figure absolutely sucks very slowly crumbles to pieces in 2 weeks it's like it's about to die
Sorry to hear about yours I've had mine for most of a year at this point.
Are you talking about the CW, UW or CBB
IDK If you already seen this one or not but i personally like nbk Devastator (gravity builder KO). For a combiner of His size and price he's very good imo. The worst things about the individual bots is wierd looking arms on scrapper, the grip of body builders on them all and hands that are a pain to flip out when put in wrong. They are also surprisingly light. The combined mode has some proportion and balance issues but it's not impossible to work with.
My big problem with that set is that he's just too swole.
A studio series 86 devastator would be awesome
I hope they make it.
Didn't know downscaled cw devastator existed before this video but how does it scale with other combiners?
It's pretty much exactly as tall as Siege Skyfire, so like the size of a normal CW Combiner.
he's as tall as a Combiner that uses Perfect Effect foot.
I got a KO bruticus from the same company, and after maybe 6 months of having it, Vortex’s comboner snapped off while I was posing the combined mode.
That's unfortunate, though at least it was cheap. Not like the Toy World Devastator.
I think it's less of a risk than you might expect. The joint is Shaped like "_" but I had it rotated so it was "I" and then I was pressing on it like
"I wanna SMASH THIS F*CKING THING TO BITS!
DEVASTATOR, YOU'VE GONE AND DONE IT A-F*CKING-GAIN!
I LOVE YOU!
It's not that bad."
I pity any of you if you don't get that.
Then you must pity me.
@@PerspectiveEnd ua-cam.com/video/N4KrDB8kfj4/v-deo.html
I own the UW version of this figure and I absolutely love it. It was my favourite Titan until I got Black Zarak. Scrapper is my favourite CW figure. I sound like I'm rambling but I just love this figure
What do you like about scrapper so much. I mean he looks good, but his transformation is very simple for obvious reasons.
Out of curiosity, what are your opinions of Maketoys Gravity Builder and TFC Hercules? I still remember when those were the premier Devastators
Never picked them up, they always looked off to me like almost every Devestaor does. I had had some interest in the Hercules, but not a ton.
@@PerspectiveEnd Fair enough. They always looked cool to me, might even pick up one of those KO Gravity Builders at some point. But different strokes etc etc
Should I buy this for my chug collection?,I have the Jinbao with the upgrade kit that fits with my mp but I do like the idea of a compact devastator
At this scale I'd say it does not fit a Chug Collection.
Small bois need love
But the thing about Small Bois is it's easy to love them. There's no level of production in to doing it.
Where can you get something like this, i have wanted a devestator and this would be a good option at this price
Ebay. I said it in it the video.
@@PerspectiveEnd sorry, just dumb. Could only find ones for 100 aud so might pass for now
Is there any place where I can get this?
Sirtoys
You can get it on Ebay and some people have said Amazon.
And of course, a few days before this came out, we got images for 2 new Scrappers from 2 different companies.
I think they are two different scrappers from the same company weirdly enough.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah… it’s also kind of suspicious both companies teased they’re doing an Mp Megatron next…
I am super happy with this set especially because it scales perfectly with the rest of the cw combiners. I wish predaking had the same treatment.
Yeah, that is the nice thing about him, he stops making the CW scale weird.
@@PerspectiveEnd on an unrelated topic have you read the new wreckers comic from idw? I am pretty sure it has spoilers on many of the exclusives we are getting soon and knock out who is in the second issue and has a somewhat Jazz look to him. If that's all so it would be awesome to also get a new thunder clash
The alt-modes of Mixmaster and Longhaul remind me of their looks in Megatron Origin and other cybertronian mode versions of them.
I don't remember them looking different in that.
@@PerspectiveEnd They looked sort of alien-ish.
Are you planning on reviewing the rest of the Toyworld constructions any time soon?
He came up to about the top of the blue part of sky fires cockpit.
If I'm remembering incorrectly that is. I had to make space since my collection grew so much. So that's in storage now.
The best looking devastator is the devil savior
I mean that might be for the movie ones I guess.
I’m gonna need to buy another one of these. I actually ruined my current one because I didn’t know KO plastic and hair dryers don’t mix so Scapper got melted
Ouch! Sorry to hear that, that's lame. Glad you like it enough to want a second one though.
Big green thicc boye! (It's big to me because I never had a transformer bigger than earthrise smokescreen)
That is a pretty impressively small boi, so indeed this is big.
Hey for your next devestator there's a toy company that makes animals turn into cubes and they recently made devastor with the sepreate limb bots who turn into cubes, and limbs and even a stylized/ futuristic vechile mode combine into devestator, if you happen to get it id hope you do a review of it some day
That is already in shipping to my house.
Very cool KO. I got Devastator KO of a 3rd Party version but i haven't checked which of the many versions. Long Haul has a ladder in the front. I dont mind his weak joints but not being able to hold his weapon really sucks. LOL!
I would assume it's probably the Jin Bao. Is the Devestator EXTREMELY swole?
@@PerspectiveEnd Huge sucker. Looks amazing even when he barely stands! LOL!
Where were you able to pick this up for 40? This generally is about 60 on eBay.
Well then it's gone up, it used to be 40 when I got it, maybe that's just the going rate now, but you could try checking amazon.
Hey Perspectiveend Do you think my and probably many other people's Idea for A Ss86 Devestator is a Good Idea with 4 of them being Voyager classes and 2 of them being leader classes ( Long haul and Hook ).
hook and long haul come with combiner parts thats why they leader
I mean it'd be awesome to have something that big, but I feel like the original version of this guy was basically that bunch of Voyagers.
And You know me. I'd like to see it with out Partsforming pieces. But your ideas definitely a fine one.
@@PerspectiveEnd thanks
im interested to see how the X-transbots one turns out, if it doesnt have ridiculous pars forming it could be really good.
I hoe that one will be good, but the renders look strange right now.
And this scales well with combiners including Legacy Menasor.
It's smaller than legacy Menasor? He should be bigger.
@@PerspectiveEnd It's only slightly and noticeable only when looking close while they're standing next to each other, but scales better than the CW version.
In my opinion the only issue with this devastation is mixmaster’s alt mode. Like, what is that?
Everything else I’m completely fine with.
Yeah, why did they get it wrong just for one figure.
funilly enough, I also have a KO devastagor (the SS ine thought, except for Mixmaster and Longhaul). and yeah, thinking about it now, I def paid to much for it but at the same time, it has some die-cast and a few figures have some extra parts.
I don't know why, but something about words "cement truck" gives me idea of SWAT army savage car.
Also: no TW Constructicons anymore?
Also also: cement sounds like a word i think i sould not wright.
I plan on continuing the series about the TW Constructicons. Just needed a break from their shittyness you know.
@@PerspectiveEnd haha, BREAK!
What do you think about the mini devistator?
I'm confused by the question? Is that not what I just did in this video?
I bought this guy and installed some upgraded 3d printed parts on the cons and hot diggety damn, they are basically Undersized Unite Warriors figures to me.
Aw man I didn't even think of 3d Printed parts for this guy. Cause no one is making normal upgrade kits for him.
hey perspective end can you do a whats the best tf combiner(even if mmc bruticus would win)
I want to one day yes.
Can we get a WTB combiner video?
Probably one day, but we already know who wins.
Hey Perspective, maybe you could give the jinbao ko devvy a shot
So many people want to see me cover that.
I hope they do make more proportioned constructicons for legacy as well as Bruticus
One can dream.
What company is this figure by? I'd like to try and pick one up.
It's a little more expensive now but this is the one I picked up.

@@PerspectiveEnd Awesome! Thanks a ton!
I had the Combiner Wars Devastator back then and I loved every single thing about him (and I sold it a long time ago). I'm thinking of getting this undersized version if I feel like it.
Edit: Feeling like you missed out on a official product, buy a KO/4th Party version that's more worth while supporting the actual product (don't give a damn if it may not be it, it's the company who did it first while 4th party helped out fixing issues)
Why do you feel like I missed out on the official?
@@PerspectiveEnd Never meant like that, only that it did have a charm
But having a undersized one may have the same feel
Also the NBK ko devy is a nice set I think you'd like.
That Mans is too Swole for my needs.
Why was it replaced by Batman?
@@PerspectiveEnd huh, I heard from Emgo that it's common where he is.
Maybe it's just a regional thing
some things as someone who bought the cw and this version
this ko is acrtually slightly taller than skyfire and in my opinion scales THE BEST with the ss86 dinobots, 2 remember this was combiner wars where not too long ago the best jetfire they had was the generations one, so the fact still to this day you can say the sculpting is good, says how good it has aged
BUT be careful when handling it, bc of being a ko it might have slight tolerance issues, mainly but not limited to:
bonecrusher hinge joint of his arms and head, devastator chest plate wings, their pegs are massively small so any weird and rushed way might result in breakage and finally hook the peg on its legs has broken on both of my copies, it doesnt really matter at the grand scheme of this but it would be best to handle with care, and the head can break due to pegging, note that out of the things i said i only expierienced hook legs, so its not like toyworld that breaks if you look at it for too long, but better be careful with it
I put him next to my SkyFire, they look pretty much the same to me.
Interesting though. Thank you for the warnings.
Imagine if someone made a downsized version of the Unite Warriors retool. Add in some more consistent QC and it would be perfect.
That would be pretty great.
Do you know where i can buy this knockoff?
Ebay.
@@PerspectiveEnd thanks do you know the name of the knockoff?

@@PerspectiveEnd bad news… im done collecting rn
I really want this. It looks way better than the original.
It's really fun and really cheap.
@@PerspectiveEnd where can I buy it?
I Like It, I'm Not Gonna Get it because of the SS 86 one Coming up (They were Gonna Start it in Wave 2, But they Decided to hold back until, IDK when)
Man it better not just be a rerelease of the CW one... Again.
@@PerspectiveEnd I can Guarantee It won't be, Not only does the Articulation not live up to Today's Standards, they're also not accurate to G1, Plus I'm pretty sure they Didn't release it so they could Make all the Sculpts, or fix them
Yeahhh. One of the Best Figures in my Collection !
(Tho i have the original) This Thing.
Is EPIC.
And I think it's only gotten better by getting smaller.
Have you ever considered doing a siege prowl review some time, mainly to explain in more detail why you hate prowls character so much
I mean I planned on doing the review, but I didn't think to insert my feelings on the character so that's an interesting idea.
I gotta ask, do you recommend that I pick this thing up?
For the price it's a great toy, if you want a Legends Eseque Devestator, you really can't go wrong with this. Just treat it Gentle.
@@PerspectiveEnd ok

A gift unto the world that Thew gave us.
Best video every
Thank you for the kind word.
LOL MY MIXMASTERS RIGHT ARM ALSO BROKE
I've heard from like 2 others the same thing. I think that might be the sets weak point.
I grabbed JinBao’s OS Devastator. I’ve got a knock off of a knock off that’s really solid.
People really want to see me cover that.
Fun fact: Minus Mixmaster arm, all of the flaws is on the original
Indeed, this is a very faithful downscale.
of all the devastators I always preferred tfc hercules for me to date is still the best devastator in terms of scale with the cw combiners (although you need the upgrade kits but I think it also works without them), of cw devastator the only thing I didn't like was long haul it looks horrible to me.
That did always look like one of the more decent ones, though it was always too toy if you are REALLY trying to scratch that show itch.
Would you recommend this set? I want it but I am not sure.
The official set is too large for me and I am not sure about this knockoff set
It's a little brittle but yes. For 40 bucks it's hard to go wrong and it's just fun. If it breaks you kind of just go "Oh well, fun while it lasted".
i knew you would review a cw/potp combiner for this video but this was a shock. CW devastator is my favourite tf figure ever (even though i don't own one cuz they are rare and expensive) because CW devastator introduced me to the transformers franchise. I would get the KO but at the same time i am not sure about it but i have been trying to get CW devi for ever, loved the video can't wait for the next one
Glad you enjoyed it. How did it get you into the fandom if you never owned it?
@@PerspectiveEnd Emgos review of I think long haul popped on my home page so I thought fuck it and watched it then I watched all of his cw devi reviews then I started watching tf basics then I just got more and more invested
I like this set. Its not great but its not terrible either. I think it would be cool if you did a week of reviews of different versions of combiner groups and other characters.
I mean I did originally plan for a week of Devastators.
POP Preadaking next???
An interesting guess. I think you will find the next one interesting no matter what.
Town on wheels? Sounds like Mortal Engines to me
People remember that movie.
I can't be the only weirdo who prefers devy without his shades
Well I can say that for once I'm not with you.
I would pay double or triple the price for it to have even slightly stronger plastic.
You'd pay a hundred bucks for this? Part of what makes it so appealing is the low price.
I should had just picked this one up, but the only upside of this is that none of the limbs had suffered major damage, so just enjoy this P.E, how ever you can
Is your's a KO, or an official. And I'm sorry to hear about yours.
Its official, i got it for a birthday present a while back
And it pretty small for titan class standards, but the only redeeming factor for this the joint tolerances are decent enough for all aspects of the set, its just the pegs and tabs that make my devastator painful to deal with
im thinking valcanicus or abominus could be next video
An interesting guess.
