Thank you for your videos! Mindmapping is a perfect tool to organize your mind!
Awesome video Sheng !
Got into mindmapping a few months ago and finding your channel will allow me to lvl up big time !
Fantastic video and explanation! Thanks for sharing. We love the idea of developing the second level of thinking and reflection in a mind map to dive deeper into a subject and build a better knowledge base. Looking forward to part two!
This is so good!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Excellent..reminds me of the GROW model in coaching...someone I know did the GROW model on itself and sorta validated to us how this analysis is useful... Great vids man
This is the video I've been looking for
Thanks for sharing. It is useful.
very informative video. thanks sir.
Dude I frikin love this... you inspire me!
Thank you so much for the kind words Seiya! Your encouragement keeps me going :)
Hello Sheng,
very nice video, gave me a good grasp on your approach on mind maps+note taking, thanks!
I have a few follow up questions
- do you make one mind map per book?
- do you process the notes further? I can imagine it might be difficult to find information if each book notes are stored in separate maps
- how do you handle the map size? While it is a useful tool to have a quick overview of the note structure, a map can become difficult to read when has a size as your presented in the video
Hey Mateusz, great questions man. My experience is that mind maps are great for lectures and chapters rather than for entire books. This is because the central node is great for one topic, which chapters and lectures often are structured to present in a self contained way. This solves the organization problem without losing the connections. The good thing with iThoughtsX and many digital mind mapping software is that you can tag and search for keywords too for navigation.

Hi Sheng
Super video. Could you kindly do a video on basics of mind mapping and to do a mind map on "to do list/ daily activities" please.
Thank you so much...
Noted! Thanks Maddumage!
Really very useful..thank you.. please post more and more videos 🙏
Thank you, I will!
Hi Sheng, thanks for sharing… I’ve been going through the mind mapping videos in your channel. I’m keen to know what is the flowchart/structure software you use in this video? - love the connection Booleans and node structure. I have to map some complex org charts and interrelations and think this software may be helpful.
Yup it's iThoughtsX
Shang great videos man. I love mind mapping and it has changed the way I learn and comprehend subjects.
Do you use just notebooks or use devices like iPad for mind mapping?
Any favourite mind mapping apps?
Thanks man! Yup I love Notability on the iPad: ua-cam.com/video/l9Pqorb97CQ/v-deo.html. I also have my Traveler's Notebook handy: ua-cam.com/video/37F3V-MQG9I/v-deo.html
What is the software UI shown here?
Software recommendation for Windows and Android users.
It's iThoughtsX: www.toketaware.com/ithoughts-win. Windows compatible though no Android. I've heard good things about Samsung Notes from my coaching clients. I'm researching other good options in the upcoming mind mapping book: www.mindmapnation.com/books. Thanks for dropping by!
Hi Sheng, great video. Can you pls tell me the name of the book (mental models) which you show at the very beginning? Thanks!
I second this request - I searched for Lollapallooza mental models book - no luck.

Thank you for your attention to our messages. It brings a little more elements of answers.
What’s the name and author of the book you recommended at the start of the video?
What mind mapping application do you use/recommend?
I've heard of obsidian, a software that works differently than mind mapping. It involves linking between ideas
Hey Kenny - thanks for dropping by! I use iThoughtsX for this video and usually use Notability for iPad or just my notebook on the daily
Try Mindomo, it's free and has a bunch of awesome templates.
Your video is so good, but it could be better if the video has subtitles.
Turn on the captions function. The subtitles appear there
@@lizmllim i knew it, but automatic subtitles is not good enough. If sheng could caption his own video, I think that must be wonderful.
Where's part two?
can i use pen and paper for this
My preferred tools.
Have you made a video your favourite free, paid, and subscription payment mindmapping tools?
For PC, mac, and or Linux?
Noted! Thanks for the question Johnson!
