The main theme of 'Dos oruguitas', is that even those who are filled with love for each other sometimes or must separate in order to change and grow. They will return to each other one day, the time apart with be scary and confusing but that is just another part of changing. As the song continues the lyrics changed to "Ay, mariposas, no se aguanten más" which means "Ay butterflies, don't hold on anymore" Even now continuing to encourage them to grow apart and move forward. Even though truly I believe this song has not one true meaning for this relationship can be applied in many situations. The song encourages self-growth as well as making room for your loved ones to grow, change will happen and it's better to grow with it than try to hold on and be crushed.
Omg this make so much sense with all the butterflies now too! This is yet another song in the film that has such a brilliant message behind it 😊 Thank you so much for you amazing comment! 😁
Just to add something: the cadence of the song is basically from vallenato music with many pop elements (a style developed by Carlos Vives, who sings the final song of the movie).
I really like how you know what the song is saying musically but you can not come close to duplicating it even though you’re trying. It’s entertaining but these people are just way more talented. Appreciate you.
I highly recommend reacting to more by Sebastián. I suggest "Falta Amor" which is a duet with Ricky Martin. Can I also recommend "Inmortal" by Aventura and "Propuesta Indecente" by Romeo Santos - music from the Dominican Republic 💕

There is a English version of the song in the sound track of the movie
@@JamaalXMusic it is a metaphor - from caterpillars to butterflies - the process of transformation to become the miracle itself. In addition, the yellow butterflies are from a book by Gabriel García Marquez (colombian literature Nobel Prize).
The way he sings 'Ayy, mariposas!" gives me goosebumps every time

That instrument at 5:30, besides de violin, it’s a harp, that is typical from the Llanos Orientales region in Colombia, and that’s sooo beautiful 😢💕
YESSSSS this song is so beautiful... Sebastián Yatra has a special voice
He really does have an amazing voice! I wouldn’t have given it a proper listen if it weren’t for people suggesting it, and I’m so glad I did 😊
Two little caterpillars !! I love that song too. Great job Jamaal. Thank you.
This part makes me cry. I better not cry

Just talking and being silly over such an emotional piece. Man, this one's honestly a little tough to get through.

i like very much when u said "lo siento Mirabel"
Haha I’m glad you enjoyed that 😂
This song is so beautiful even though I have no idea what he is singing about.
Haha that’s exactly how I feel! 😂
If you watch it with subtitles on it translates the lyrics, if you want to get the full impact of the metaphor so it can fully break you. 😅
Someone probably said it, but there's an English version of this that plays during the ending credits.
i love their reconcelion
If no one told you he did an English version. I heard it on spotify
But it’s not as good as the Spanish version, plus it’s not a one to one translation.
If you watch this part on Disney plus with subtitles, it gives a translation. Which of course are as beautiful in English.
Beautiful Job beautiful !!!!!❤️❤️
Sebastiàn sings an English version during the credits of the movie
Ooo I’ll have to find that version! 😃Thank you for letting me know 😊

React to Dos Oruguitas Live performance, please. It's beautiful. They it's shown many of the Colombian instruments used on the song.
Oruguitas means caterpillar.
So it’s two caterpillars?! I knew I could count on you guys, thank you! 😊

Under the see, under the see... 04:02. This part reminds me a little bit of the little mermaid. The crab.
Oh yeah that does sound ridiculously similar! I don’t think I’ll be able to un-hear that now though 😂
your reaction not your dvd commentary....
Rude… but true. 😅
I love from 🛐👑🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🔥🔥💋
