    I'm so happy I came across this video...the master in all of this is the TIMING of how long u leave the chemical on/in ur hair...

    A texturizer is a mild relaxer. It can straiten your hair just like a relaxer because it is one

      @user-zx5xw4yw2e 3 роки тому +13

      'because it IS ONE". *BINGO* I'm glad you're informed, many are not. They are one in the same..SAME chemical. ONE can buy a box labeled 'Texturizer' and STILL get bone straight hair; it's all in how more or less u work it through. It's not just 'time' it's manipulation.

    She’s right! Texturizing is relaxing and I’ve experimented with various relaxers/texturizers a bunch… and what I have found works for me is the following: My hair consists of (3) different curl patterns (3B on nape to mid point, 4A sides/mid point & 3C on crown). I texturize just the (4A)sides & mid-section of my hair using 2 parts random wash out conditioner (eg Tresemme Flawless Curls) to 1 part S Curl. I leave it on for 15 mn and it relaxes my curl to blend a little better with the hair on my crown.

      It's common to have more than one texture in the same head of hair kiddos to you for taking the time to learn your hair.

    You’re so honest and transparent ! THANK YOU. No one should judge someone for what they do to their hair, but it’s important to be transparent, especially when dealing with chemicals, because if you already have severely damaged hair and you decide to texturize because it’s “safer”, you may end up really regretting it.
    Loved this video! Just the plain, honest truth! People can make better decisions when they are informed!

    I learned this about a texturizer when I put one in my brother's hair as a teenager. Every boy wanted to have hair like the guy on the box in the 90s so he begged me to do it. He has a wavy slightly curly texture and the texturizer made it BONE STRAIGNT. Lol. Like you said....it is not designed to give you curly hair.... lol. NOT AT ALL.

    • @aarmy913
      @aarmy913 Рік тому +8

      It’s a curl loosener, he already had pretty loose hair to begin with, so loosening it even more made it bone straight. With his texture it isn’t necessary at all. It is primarily for people with kinky/coily hair.

      Hang in there it’ll grow out quicker than you expect. Make sure to give it some TLC.

    11:00 .. but that's also true if it's relaxed. Relaxed hair folk should minimize heat also. Am I missing something here?

      What she meant was if you're texturized and want your hair straight. Fact is if your hair Is relaxed its already straight so you'd use a flat iron less vs if its texturized.

    Thank you Brandy for the info. A quick question, is a texturizer semi-permanent? Does it wear out in three months or so?

      Hi sure you’re welcome it doesn’t wear off like color your hair grows out and your natural texture will be at the roots

    I just put a texturizer in my hair but it didn't do anything, I didn't keep it in long because it was burning, would I be able to put a relaxer on top of that without losing all of my hair? My hair is really thick

      Yes, but not right away. WAIT 6-8 weeks.
