Alyssa, you made a great point! Every month my husband and I struggled to pay our bills, could never figure out where the money went, always thought we didn't make enough. Well, after watching one of your videos for the first time a few weeks ago (so glad I did) I sat down, made a budget list and BAM! I could not believe each month how much we actually could save. I figured out what we actually needed to spend and how much we could put in for spending for ourselves, how much we can afford to put in a safety deposit box, and how much we can put into out debt snowball. I’m only 13 but I’ve already made this system for my allowance... but of course I don’t pay all those bills yet! I’ve used this for like 3 months and every “pay check” I get is different amounts... but I normally get $10 maybe more.. maybe less, every week for baby sitting, homework/good grades on test, dishes, vacuuming, cleaning the room, etc. but so far I have saved about $100 from it! I’m doing this when I get my first real job this summer and for the money I get for Christmas! thank you for the tips and cute ideas!
I'll have an extra check next month and cannot wait to add some extra money to my savings! My son's school fees and uniforms depleted it but it was all worth it!

Finally sat down and made a budget for myself and im so happy!!!!!!! Its such a relief knowing that im not spending money mindlessly. I love makeup and in my budget i was even able to include a little amount for my makeup every month! So exciting!!! Thank you for your videos!!!
What may help with tallying is to create columns to the right of your expenses, one for each of the denominations. Then as you go down the list put a tally in that cell. So for the first of $66, 1 tally in the $50s column, 1 in the $10s, 1 in $5s, then 1 in $1s. At the end, add up the tally’s from each column/denomination.
Oh something that might be cool that your audience might like is to have holiday themed ones! I know its a lot of work but people would love that

When I originally started my budgeting process I planned for a mix of using card and cash. I got away from that and I recently added another expense. Watching your videos has inspired me to restart using my plans. Hopefully I can stay on top of everything.

I want to get some pretty cash envelopes but I dont want spend the money to buy them from someone or make them myself because I'd be terrible. My "envelopes" are zippered binder pencil pouches I got from office max? I think for like 10cents a peice on clearance so I got like 15 of them i use for my sinking funds and as "cash envelopes" then i have a wallet with dividers for my daily cash i carry. Works for me and i saw someone have the idea on pinterest about cash envelopes but I've never seen anyone else do that. I think it's nice. I go to costco 1-2x per month and I just throw my whole pencil pouch of money in my purse and I dont have to worry because I know that's all my costco money and it doesnt get mixed in with my family money from my wallet like for walmart and kroger and stuff. I think it's a better system than paper envelopes and more durable and still cheaper than buying someones envelopes off etsy. They are very cute but I'm trying to save money lol

I just recently bought a pour over coffee maker and I absolutely love it!!! And it’s so pretty and simplistic. I made sure I bought the one with the reusable filter so I won’t have to buy the disposable coffee filters

So great that you’re going the no student loan route! I wished I had done that. No regrets bc I had a great time in college and grad school. I underestimated how much grad school loans could be. Not fun. It makes me cry, it’s my only debt in my debt snowball, but it’s more like a big mountain 🧗🏻♀️

Yes, definitely! The last time or two I wanted to do it I had to spend part of my grocery budget for some reason so I couldn't do the full $40 at Aldi or something like that but I think this paycheck I should be able to!

Honestly I’ve gotten so much better with money, your ideas are great, I’ve started journaling and that has helped my severe anxiety because I can actually see what I am NOT forgetting even when I think I’m forgetting something
