Man, I can relate...doing what you can, as you can...and reminding yourself what the objective is. I purposely WON'T be getting ALL the dents, blemishes out. If I did that, I'd be scared to use it for what it was made for! I'm getting the majority of the rust off, and like you said...it's a "refurbishment". Your "H" looks great👍
I totally agree. I'd be the same way and not want to get the thing dirty or be afraid of using it. I still like to take my tractors to shows occasionally, and I'm the kind of guy that likes to let other people sit on them and check them out. I'm not the person putting a chain around it so you can't get too close. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a super nice restored tractor, but I'll also be totally happy with how this one turns out... I hope. Thanks Kent!
Thanks Eric! I agree! I actually bought one of those pistol grip triggers and somehow managed to lose it. Worked great when I had it! I'll have to get another.
LOL! Thanks Kenny! I was finally able to make the decision to just get this thing back together and make it look decent. It will never compare to your H, and I've decided to be OK with that! It took me a while to accept that. hahaha. I'm ready to get this thing out of the garage so I can move onto some other smaller repairs needed on the other ones.
@@TractorHoarders Hey bud, don't beat yourself up! It looks GREAT! That rattle can paint is difficult to get a nice shine out of, and you did a great job with it. Be exciting to hear her run again, most definitely!
Very nice paint job! New to the channel here! I am about to do the same thing to my Farmall H! Just a little refurb, like you said, no point in pouring a ton of money into it when I can make it look good to my standards!
Thanks, I am pleased with how it came out, but I think the prep work is key... just getting rid of all the dirt, grease, and other loose paint. Sometimes just a little refurb makes a big difference. What year is your H? I have this part of me that would love to have a fully restored tractor, but then at the same time, I might be afraid to use it in fear of scratching it! lol.
I have and it was a good match. I haven’t seen how it holds up long term though. I’ve used it for touch ups and painting small areas or parts but haven’t used it on a full tractor yet.
Rattle can jobbie tis okee. What would make it look much better isn't necessarily the carburetor but that black exhaust manifold high heat paint that actually stays on for a couple years.
Your Farmall H is looking good, Hans! Can’t wait to hear the tractor running. You are definitely making great progress! 🇺🇸🚜👍
You and me both! Hopefully I'll have more to share this weekend and we can hear that thing running, finally! Thanks for following along.

I like it a lot. Good work. You guys need to get some of those pistol grip triggers for spray cans. Keep it up

I got the references immediately! MUKBANG, BOOOOOOM!!! The H is sure looking good, buddy!

The opening theme looks a lot like Farmall fanatics opening theme
I laughed the entire time I was making that lol
I’ll bet your did
What paint did you use thinking about doing this to my 44H
Rustoleum IH Red. I really liked how it covered. I used both spray cans and bought it by the quart.
What kind of spray paint did you use?
Rustoleum IH Red
@@TractorHoarders thank you

I totally agree! That may be a next step I’ll do. Thanks!
