Love Mark Evans deserves to be in the hall of fame with AC/DC
You’re right. Malcolm and Angus shafted him big time.
I met young Mark in early 1972 at a teen party in Melbourne. He was the only kid in the room who had a clue about playing. He had an SG copy bass and we jammed for a bit. He would have been 15/16 while I was the oldest in the room at 19.
That was fascinating. It’s interesting hearing about those early days.
Yes! Finally confirmation from Mark Evans that Angus Young did indeed dress in a gorilla suit in a cage for a Countdown performance. It was so vivid in my memory as a kid, but over the years when i'd ask others if they remembered it they had no recollection of it. I was beginning to wonder if it was just a figment of my overactive childhood imagination. Awesome.
Sadly that episode has been long wiped, and no photos exist of it either…
@@BeAGoodDoga that’s so sad and stupid that these episodes got recorded over. I first heard of the BBC doing that to save money on tape. Imagine all of the interviews and legendary performances that were wiped out thanks to this desperate attempt at saving money?
@@Purpleskyshorizon no kidding. Just 100% wrong! 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Mark Evans will and always be one of my favorite bass player! :-)
Awesome interview, what a top bloke, aussie Rock Royalty right there 😎👍🇦🇺
Marks a great bloke.Had a beer or two with him.
Your a legend Mark it's so good to hear your experience
Great interview.
Wow that’s so cool I live in Australia my dad said he would have seen them on countdown and in fact I saw a re run of countdown so I have as well they were great
Love Mark should have been included in The Hard Rock Hall of Fame
I was a acdc freak when i was young i still have the music book all these years later wow i couldnt remember where i bought it from
😂👍💪💪💪Mark is really great! Bon was really great guy too!
Great video 🙂👍
sounds like a good bloke thanx 4 upload
Thanks, this was a great interview.
Wow, Mark has the T.N.T. 8-Track? That’s gotta be worth a fair mint!
Not really Not in that condition, Now if i ever saw a TNT or High Voltage 8 track in good condition id buy one for about 20 to 30 Dollars.
Not more than That. playing it well you would need an 8-track player ( good luck tracking one of those down )
it would be cool to have for a / my Collection but thats it.
@@MetalHeart8787 High Voltage never had an 8-track release anyway!
@@BeAGoodDoga actually i was just about to say sorry i didn't know because ive seen Deeds & let there be Rock 8 tracks, BUT I Googled "Ac/dc 8 tracks" and YES there was a High Voltage 8 Track, US Release with the yellow Bolt
@@MetalHeart8787 I’m referring to Australian 8-tracks. The format didn’t really take off over here.
@@aaronmccairn6150 agreed. Alas, the band said no…
Mark Evans back in AC/DC please !!!!!!!!
Never gonna happen, mate.
@@BeAGoodDoga Never say never, even Angus might get a conscience one day especially if there's money in it.
@@andrewcollins4458 no, I heard it was personal, so it’ll never happen.
@@BeAGoodDoga Everythings personal with Angus but he loves money and admiration more.
@@andrewcollins4458 mind you, it was Malcolm who in an interview said that “Mark couldn’t play properly, and we wanted him out”…
Ive read most of The Seedies books on offer worth reading, and Marks book is probs the best. It's a great read....
Mark Evans should have been inducted into the Rn'R Hall of Fame with them. He played on T.N.T./High Voltage (international release), Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and Let There Be Rock. Three landmark albums and three of their best albums they have ever made. Talk about the worst Hall of Fame snub! That is one of the very worst. Shame on the Youngs!!!
Why did they kick him out?
I believe Mark, and Mal was so cool
Marc Evans is such a nice person !
Also played in Finch! Contraband if I’m not mistaken! C61 your the winner! I have a few hundred 8 tracks and a bunch of AC/DC
Holy hell💥💥I want that song book!!
27:47 I'll bet Michael Browning thought to himself "'I'll get somebody collect 'em all againg later, they'll be worth a fortune some day!" !
im with you on the Beatles .
I have a vague recollection of Rose Tattoo supporting Rainbow at Bingley Hall in Stafford UK 1981/82?
Hi mate has the rose tattoo lp got the kangaroo on it and is it blue label.Thank you.
no it was not, it was just blue no kangaroo.
Many a band owes a big thanks to Ian Meldrum.
The ACDC Molly interviews are so good. He was so enthusiastic about music and the bands.
Oi, there is one in Blackpool
Why was Mark kicked out of the band?
Getting up Angus nose, drinking & missing rehearsals
best acdc album is let there be rock!!!!!
The Beatles don't do it for me neither.
lotta southpaw guitars in this room
Love AC/DC but what Mark is saying re last tour is spot on. Yeah i would hate it if they retired but they are in danger of ruining their lagacy if they just keep going. imho.
