I hope your planning worked out, but regardless I'm sure you kicked butt! The furthest I've run is 5 miles...on a good day. I'm out of shape right now but would love to do long distance in the near future.
Love you two, you're like a double act. I thought you were going to start singing the Craig David song '7 days' at one point.😂 I'm 55 and still really enjoy keeping fit and sport, very inspired by you.
I am walking a 19K. I originally signed up for the Yarnell 19k (In Yarnell Arizona) on June 5th. I had to change it to virtual. I will be doing the 19K in 2 weeks. Today was my 10 mile training walk. I don't run.
Signed myself up for a 25k in October never done any running and kinda similar to yourself just try keep fit by gym 5 x a week. Thanks for the info let’s see how I get on ☝🏽
I love you guys. Don't get this wrong..but, who just says, "I think I'll run a 25k in a couple of weeks"? That is weird. But incredible! I admire that part of y'all that you've given to your kids too. The motivation you give out freely helps people in more ways than just working out. Fellow Texan here. I live in Lufkin, by way of The Woodlands. 😁 Hook 'em!!
Hey Dave! This is more of a mental discipline challenge, but have you ever considered 75 hard? It’s definitely something that I’ve always considered doing, but have always found an excuse not to start. It’s not a fitness challenge even though it is fitness focused, but if you ever try it I’d love to hear what you think.
Do you have any recommendations for someone starting out at an obese weight? I would love to do a run like this with my family next year but it always seems to intimidating to start.
I would suggest looking up "low impact HIT workout " and do those every day. Until you lose a good amount of weight. Also use good shoes that provide a lot of stability and support. Start walking every week. And slowly you will build endurance. Some of the key points are : to not injure yourself while you have so much extra weight.
Guess you can share the doobeliedoo? 🤣😂😉 Good luck!

Love frugal fit dad just like frugal fit mom! You two are equally entertaining! Thanks for sharing
Best of luck and hope you enjoyed the journey! No race for me I'll stick to my daily yoga for now who knows what the future will bring.
Good luck! Looking forward to the next video

Good tips and a great layout of the prep time.
Best of luck! I have 25k end of this month. Did a half marathon this weekend as baseline but love the short distance run idea!

I’m doing a rugged maniac in June. I haven’t done a race in years. My brother and mom are joining me.

I hadn’t heard of it until now. But you’ve got me reading and thinking of what’s next. 😀
@@FrugalFitDad Seems up your ally!
How do you find the time to do all this? I’m always so impressed/inspired. 😁
I have to make it a priority, then build my schedule and habits around those priorities.
@@FrugalFitDad would you do a “Day in the life” video? Would love to see how your typical day looks.
