ah, so clickbaity video title? - 14:14 you have a mistake there... it is not always, there are certain mechanics that are doing damage while the animation is ongoing. IE: vomiting or Nier raids - 18:51 i guess you do not even know about hunts. So not really ultimate beginner guide, but more like ultimate guide from beginner?
I remember watching my friend play FF14 in 2010. I just picked it up this year in February. Good thing I waited. I dont game as much anymore. FF14 is where I think I'll retire. Good pace with my busy life.
I just got my account set up a day or so ago, and it was so much easier than everyone made it out to be. I don't know why people seem to have such a hard time with it. 😅
I signed up with three different accounts during some of the most popular times the game’s been out. Idk what you guys are going on about. It’s easy to make an account but if you can’t make a character on your desired server, you just have to wait or pick another one
Thankyou so much for this! I’ve been playing for 12 hours or so and have just done the first three dungeons in MSQ in the different starting areas - guides like this are the things I keep coming back to as refreshers! I’m loving the story already and I know it’ll only get better. See you when I (eventually) get to endgame content 😄
I made my start in MMO with WOW. I started from the beginning and enjoyed my decades of play. I always had my eye on FF. I have been playing FF now for the past 3 yrs and really wished I had started FF from the start! I am obsessed with FF and learn something everyday! Best game ever
Thanks for this! Watching this as I download the trial version of the game. I come from DCUO and SWTOR. Tried Guild Wars 2, then saw a video talking about the best player count MMOs of 2024, saw this on the top of the list and the guy explained why it's so good. Sold me on it. haha. I think this has potential to be my new MMO home. I'm busy with work, but looking forward to trying this one.
I've tried getting into FF14 a few times now, but it's just not entertaining playing it solo. I've never been one for tab targeting either, so that makes it all the more tricky. With the upcomming expansion I'm tempted to do what people suggested and play through the base game like a single player story focused game. Then by the time I finish it I'll be used to the mechanics etc.
Im coming back from like 2021, only have a lvl 45 WAR. Im playing it like a single player game now, my pace, my fun. Turned off all player names so they seem like random NPCs going about their days.
This helped me on the UI and “telegraphing” fronts. Thanks! I’ve tried playing on and off, and decided just to play through the trial on a few classes and see how I like the “JRPG” part
Thanks for making this. Returning player from years ago and boy it's changed. I'm at the end of heavensward and I see MAYBE one player in those maps. Where is EVERYONE? So lonely out there.
Great video! I've been trying out the trial version the past couple of weeks to determine if i want to start a subscription. I've played a few of the larger MMOs; New World, ESO, WOW, DAOC, and even UO. The one thing that's really hard for me to get over is that 1 character can do everything. Do I need to carry all the gear I keep outgrowing during leveling to eventually 'break down' via crafting, or should I just vendor it? And is it really worth it to vendor the low stuff?
Question: trying to get into this game with two other friends that have never played. Can you do the main Scenario/story with other players? Or do you have to do that solo?
Thank you for this. I just picked up the free trial to give it a shot and there is a LOT going on. 😅 Hopefully it feels less crazy once I've been playing awhile.

signing up is the hardest part...it was horrendous for FFXI and they just never fixed that part of it.
Hi!! I'm still trying to get ffxi to work.. do you think you could give me any tips maybe-? I'm so sorry, I'm just trying to get into final fantasy :3
The customer support has ALWAYS been atrocious. I finally decided to just create a whole new email and account.
im trying to sign up and i feel like im going insane

Thank you, 15 hours in and still figuring things out
Of all the hundreds of explanatory ffxiv videos, this one is the most clear, to the point and best to start with. Thank you
Huge help, getting back into it after a 7 year break.
Nicely explained - almost makes want to try to get into the game for the fourth time.
I swear, say "JOB" one more time on my day off!

I'm having fun solo.
I enjoy the solo play alot
Much appreciated. I'm finally getting through the game after a frustrating early quest.

Ayy, thanks for this Drybear, I started playing FFXIV a few weeks ago cuz of my friends, this is pretty sweet
Have fun!
Been playing since first day 1.0. Still learned a few things. Good video
I was locked out of playing for 10 years. Now I can finally play

The story cutscenes will be solo only, but you can do the dungeon segments in groups
@@DrybearGamers only the cutscenes but not the gameplay?
the GCD in FFXIV is so long because the animations are so long. it gives more time for flashy attacks.
Very helpful, thank you
How do u run?
hey how do you make your menu and other boxes that dark grey colour? mine is light blue. thanks!
I think it's in "System Configuration"
I thought the first big block was the same as FF11 just not as crazy... registering your copy and first log in.
just downloaded the game, thanks for this.
i still dont have DQX western release so i suppose ill start FF14
Beyond epic game for sure worth the time!
Great guide DB. Hope some noobies find this in the algo
bro i swear they should pay players for the amount of time this shit takes lol
Jesus Loves all of you guys
No
He isn't god😑
Legitimate. He made me the best arroz con pollo I've ever had. That's love in my book.
Anytime I leave and return I have to watch these videos 😂
Thank you for this. I just picked up the free trial to give it a shot and there is a LOT going on. 😅 Hopefully it feels less crazy once I've been playing awhile.
It gets easier keep going!
