its awesome that the women r doing so much themselves. i want to see more and not as short as this. the house is incredible, the choices r interesting and colorful. planning is immaculate (and i should know as i m an interior designer). great job and i wonder if they could have made a bigger profit if it wasnt sold to family

The only problem I have with this house is the fish,the glass bowl is to small,there is no hiding place,no aquaristic to keep enough oxygen in the water and the fish will suffer from stress and might injure himself.
It's only"dressing the house".
Nothing of furnishing the dwelling comes with the house. The fish weren't supposed to be there permanently, just to dress the scene for the few hours necessary for the cameras.

One of the few shows I watch on HGTV. Have seen all of their episodes. They have that "girls next door" appeal.

I'm thinking all kitchen cabinets should go all the way up. I always thought it was odd when they don't.
That is not the way to do up to the ceiling cabinetry. Those are clearly stacked up cupboards.

I loved the new homeowner's reaction. She is so cute and has a great personality!! I loved everything in the house, except for the wallpaper. It's cute, but I would have rather seen real wood put on the wall, but that's being really picky. It's bright, cheery, and beautiful!!!!! 💙🏵️💙🏵️💙
I love open concept. One can breathe & not feel closed-in.
I hate open plan, and the idea of my kitchen being in full view from the street door is very strange.

As much as I love Good Bones, I'm always disappointed when we don't see the full house. Either way, I would totally buy a home from them considering how well built/restored and beautiful they are.
As much as I like Good Bones, I’m always disappointed when they don’t have some sort of hangers/coat rack or shoe rack at the entrance. I guess I live in snowy Northern Ontario Canada and some sort of mud room entrance is mandatory.

The way they do cupboards up to the ceiling just looks strange. Stacking one on top of the other is not the way to do it.
Nice house, but the printed curtains are a bit off and I felt sad for that fish.
Still can't understand why anyone want to look at a refrigerator and a counter full of dirty dishes when they first walk into a home.

No, it doesn't (if it's like most HGTV shows). The furniture is just staging furniture. The buyer can purchase them separately, if they want to.

Didn't like the wall paper in that bathroom. IMO, they tend to over stage and even tho' it looks gorgeous and finished, it, of course, is not the furniture and knick knacks that will be staying. Less is always better for me as I try to determine how my belongings will fit in the space. That being said, I do like this mother/daughter team and think they do a fabulous job reno-ing what are often total wrecks!!!!!
Was Karen married to Kenny? I saw the video explaining all relationships but forgot how Kenny is in the mix.

I was wondering if anybody is ever offered to buy the furniture along with the house because they love the way it's decorated and maybe they don't have anything yet I was just curious

That is why I stopped watching this show. Too many times Mina was so curt with her sweet mom. Have not watched this show now in years.

I think their skill is in fixing houses structurally.
They are NOT GOOD at staging .
They clutter spaces and TOO MANY TACKY COLORS.

Personally I like the kitchen.
The ground floor is a wasted opportunity. That back room should have been part of a much bigger kitchen, thereby allowing a larger, comfortable living room.
