Darling! Love the island, and the 3 legged table. All that's missing is a smail fireplace or woodstove in the living room, a lilac bush out front, and a tree or two planted in the yard! ❤️
It gives the house a centering focal point, is more likely to draw the family together, can be decorated for the seasons, and in the north, provides heat, light, and a way to fix food in the event of a power outage. In CA, for the simple reason that in fall and winter, evenings can be quite chilly.
Love the design.. I too learn so much from you.. As I am an Interior Designer too do appreciate that the client is so satisfied with the design incorporated on their home.
Did a nice job but the colour of the floors, for me, is not aesthetically pleasing.. A lighter softer colour would have been nicer and made the space look bigger. I dislike that kitchen island a lot …. That would be the first thing to go. The outside is amazing and overall a great job!
I thought that was odd too. An en suite is an adjoining bathroom. Americans NEVER used to refer to the master bed & bath as an en suite until design shows from the UK aired. Lol. Now it's kind of popular to use that term.
Beautiful job. I loved the timber Island bench in the kitchen and the décor is divine. The one exception would be the tiles in the En Suite Shower area. They were a bit Blaaa. I loved the shape but the colour was just BORING.
I’ll never understand why Americans live in houses like this. It’l like oversized shed- any stronger wing can blow it away. I would always choose apartment in some solid and strong building in the USA than house like this. Here in Europe is unheard of to live in houses this weak.
Don't be so sure. That house is very old and it withstood decades of neglect and abandonment. I've lived in homes like this before and I'd argue they're sturdier than newer construction.
I love it when older homes are properly rescued.
i love mina and karen, they're the best!

Gardening I miss often. It seems they find it overrated. But pays out I think.
Why does every house need a fireplace???

the color on the outside...so cute..the inside very airy and fresh
What a shame to lose the original details on the porch.
The woman didn't seem to be too excited about the house.
Especially that island. I can't blame her there. That's a piece that only a few would fall in love with.
I totally love the entire concept. It's warm and playful. Great job team! 🙌🙌
Form the look it turned out absolut beautiful. I love the kitchen island.

Mama looks beautiful with the new hair color and the beautiful dress!
She sure does.
Love you both! And i enjoy so much watching the show! 😍❤️

If you cain't say somethin ni
Looking at that tall guy standing in front of the vanity cabinet, I'm thinking back's pain.
It’s cute, but location for me is everything. I would not pay 250 to be sandwiched between neighbors.
They should have reused the porch gingerbread. Back porch is too small.
Small but it's so gorgeous ❤❤ Love it.
I love the painting in the livingroom. Who is the artist?
This is so real.
Why did she refer the master bedroom as their "main en suite"? En suite is bathroom isn't it?

The inside is awful. The cold gray / white /fluorescent lighting and horrid, muddy color floor make my eyes hurt.
The fish scale tiles are nice.
Good job.
seating side of island is too low for those stools - but I love this show
What season/episode is this?

As usual you girls pull it together
Fantastic job. Only the fish-scale tile would make me feel a little queasy while showering.
They literally destroyed THE PORCH!. A barn door for the Bathroom?? Good luck with unwanted noises and stinky smells 👍
I want that island
Where is this location ???
Indianapolis I believe.
!!!
Where is this where you can buy a home for $40k? Detroit?
It’s in Indianapolis.
That 6" beam is full of white rot. hmm
😇
Zero thought of security. Way to wide open for me. Come look and all my money i spent on this house.
beautiful but do not like the tiles in the shower
Wrong house for that wilderness man kitchen island.
Wrong construction, should have made it all one level. Think that will break apart in 2 years.
mina is all slim and trim when not having a baby. lookin good
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
They never make any money for all that work, maybe it's just Indiana no one wants to live there

That's a good point. Normally it should be less expensive in that light versions. But it seems ist's not.
It's called poverty. It's caused by economic injustice.

Like the high-rise that collapsed in Florida recently?
