Had a tire in the back garden as a kid learning, hit is as hard as I could and loved it. Must be good for you, played two Ryder Cups and also had the pleasure to meet Henry in Portugal. Great stuff and as Gary Player said "there's nothing new in the game, its all been done before" RIP Henry.

@@paulway9926 I was in France last week in a champagne museum, part of the exhibit has large iconic photos featuring champagne, hollywood, movies, celebs etc. One of the photos was you and the 85 ryder cup team on the roof of the Belfry spraying champagne around:)

I was at the Belfry and saw you all on the roof with Seve and then Concord flew over. Those were the days, you gave us fans so much pleasure , thank you.

My father was taught by Henry and became a very successful club professional. His first Pro job was at Saunton Sands GC then onto Lancaster GC and retied after nearly 30 years being Pro at Basingstoke GC.

Played on one of his designed courses in Portugal, Alto in Portimao. What a gem, a real golfers treat and certainly one of the best I've ever played.

I followed Henry Cotton when he won the Open at Muirfield in 1948. I remember him as having a very rhythmic and wristy swing which he used to draw or fade the ball at will. I was watching the Master at work.

Like Ben Doyle, I knew a very talented instructor who always had a bunch of DIY swing aids on his golf cart, and a tire ready to bring to the lessons tee.

🤣Incredible and remember it well. The only sad thing was that Faldo, Lyle and a few others didn't come out of our team room above the pro shop and celebrate with the fans. I think some had gone back to their rooms to get jackets and ties on for the prize giving and missed out on an unforgettable moment in Ryder Cup History.

This kind of training and drilling ought to come with a warning. Golfers should begin slowly, performing a small number of reps spread out across time, and then gradually increase the number of reps and intensity.

Great footage, thanks. But this must be all AI generated. There is no way people can hit the ball that far or strait without $2000 clubs, $5 balls. :)
Seriously though. As for the hands fighting, try this. Hold a pen with both hands and try to write your name. Now think about hot that impacts your club control.
