Real! Like the slow traffic calming & quiet lifestyle... My California beach car -centric lifestyle has great weather ..but is "crazy noisey" during rush hour...a typical American life plan. ☺. Thanks for sharing your home and the nice clean neighborhood ...well done! Maybe Osaka...I'm retired! Love Tokyo! Ps. Family Mart ... luv it! (:
I was amazed at how quiet and clean the city was even though it looked cheap, so amazingly quiet and clean... And then you get to the house I thought something happened to the volume on my phone it got so quiet.
That is awesome, thank you for sharing your living space! If you don't mind me asking, what do the both of you do for a living? Also, do you speak fluent Japanese or some? Were you forced to learn it for work?
Hey, thanks for watching! I work remotely as a software developer. My wife works part time as an accountant in a nearby shopping mall. My wife speaks only Japanese. I have studied for two years in Japanese language school in Fukuoka, it was my choice because I wanted to do something new. After I finished the studies I started looking for work and found the company I work for for now, they asked me to move to Tokyo. I am far from fluent, especially when it comes to reading but I get by one way or another.
@@DiscoveringRuralJapan that is amazing, sounds like a journey! And you are living in Tokyo as well, the dream city!! Happy for you! Did you feel like having a Japanese wife made it easier for you to integrate into japanese society? As opposed to a foreign couple trying to move to Japan but is just starting to learn the language?
Actually the reason I was looking for a girlfriend in Fukuoka in the first place was to practice my Japanese :D Languages are like STDs - they are waaaay easier to learn if you speak it daily with your partner. So yeah, having a Japanese wife helped me a lot. Actually in my school a good percentage of people who passed JLPT N2 level test were dating Japanese.
@@DiscoveringRuralJapan haha that absolutely makes sense! Not only do you get the Japanese girlfriend experience and everything that comes with it but you also get to practice and learn the language easier. I guess it would be much more difficult for foreign couples then, since they can't find a new japanese partner anymore lol
I decided what is important for me and what is not. I wanted to be able to travel to my office without train changes (which ended up being not important at all). Then we decided on the Business budget - 80000 tops. We started looking on homes.co.jp, found some places we liked and contacted the agent. They showed us some more offers in that area. Eventually we made a 2 day trip from Fukuoka to see the apartments in person and decided on this one.
Hi! I was wondering where this complex actually is. My friend and I are still looking for apartments to stay in Tokyo. Do you think this place is best to live in for more than a year?
Hey! This is in Adachi ward, near the Umejima station. We live here for 1.5 years already so yeah it is good, at least for us. The prices seem to drop singificantly if you cross the Arakawa river.
I have no idea if american companies specificly are recruiting, but it seems everyone is recruiting, even from abroad. Some people don‘t speak a word of japanese either.
The matter is fancy is NOT really necessary BUT neat clean and tidy. Every step is messy and towel on a bed seriously? I'll kill my daughters for that 😅 A place to live should be clean and neat even not fancy.

“If you open the window you can say hi to your neighbour… so I don’t.” 🤣 😆
I live in Canada, I always love the structure and style of these homes. 😊
this is honestly really good and quite large for that price. plus the neighborhood is good
Yea. If you look hard, you can find a good price even in Tokyo.
That's a good deal and damn that bird took a big one
Laughed at the more simp than that

$500 is a great deal for a place like that! But I'd imagine the houses in the area are coming up in age?
They aren’t new but totaly inhabitable!
Hi man!
I really know your neighborhood, that Life market is quite good. 😎👍
Consider moving here, you can save money that way!
$500 sounds great until you realize it comes with a free obake.
you so fortunate to find a big place like this for so cheap in the central area. wow nice! good thing you moved out from israel
Thank G-d I live in America, we have space...my walk in closet is bigger than that apartment.
How did you find the apartment? Most agency offers are too high.

התוכי הזה כוכב, חובה הופעת אורח שלו בכל סרטון 😂
8:28 maybe try different genres?
Yeah, got back recently. Enjoying Prodeus and Neverwinter Nights on the Switch.
are there american companies recruiting employees in Japan?
I have no idea if american companies specificly are recruiting, but it seems everyone is recruiting, even from abroad. Some people don‘t speak a word of japanese either.
can a tourist rent an apartment like this in japan?
The standard contract is for 2 years with penalty if you leave early. So I don’t think so 😞
@@DiscoveringRuralJapan thank you.
Overall Not bad !! for the price
Yeah, it is possible to save a lot if you look hard.
How's the overall experience living there ?@@DiscoveringRuralJapan
A bit tight but I love it. Want more space though. Hopefully we will move to our new home this month.

Please clean and organize your apartment. This is the first youtuber apartment I saw that looks ugly.
So it makes me stand out from the crowd! Awesome!

Как же у вас в Японии скучно и нудно жить, будто вы в тюрьме! В России хорошо!!! Здесь свобода!! А у вас все мрачно!!
