There's a ferret shampoo at the petstore with TEA TREE oil in it! 🤦♀️ Tea tree oil is toxic to ferrets. Thank goodness you are educating fur parents.

Oh no! Well at least now we all know better. It's so important to have this channel as a platform to learn and teach...if not our poor ferrbabies wouldn't be getting proper care. There's tons of misinformation out there. Even people who think they need a bath once a week 😫😱
@Breonalyn Sihock i adopted another fur baby around Nov and although his coat is SO much better he still itches a lot cause like u sai his last owner washed him a lot. What can i do to help him??

You should make a book. Like a care book for ferrets. I would buy it and recommend it to people who are just getting ferrets. You know so much and I think if you wrote a book it would have great info. You could add like a chapter about diet. A chapter about ferret exercise and ferret health. And way more stuff that would be useful. I'm gonna say it now... that book would be the best ferret book ever created

Hey!! Great video( as always!!) but I have a question about ferret diet, my fuzzy WILL NOT eat mice I’ve tried EVERYTHING, so if I feed raw , it won’t be balanced without the mice, would it be ok if I ground everything together? Like, mice, bones, chicken, turkey, duck, in a blender? I think it would but I just wanted a 2nd opinion. He will eat other meats just not mice!
Have a few questions to ask you, but first thank you for all the help tips. I have adopted a ferret who already had insulinoma and I have been feeding them a raw diet and he has improved so much. But he still can’t get around that well and I was wondering if there is anything else I should be doing for him? Also what are your thoughts about diatomaceous earth for ferrets?

I've been giving one of my ferrets ferretone for 6 months until I got a new ferret that wouldn't eat it so I gave it less. Know I know that once again my new ferret knew more than me.
P.S. I said my ferret knew more than me because he has purposefully shown me how to be a good ferret owner, he refused dental stix (which are bad for ferrets) he found a 10 year old nerf dart ate part of it than threw up all of it (we checked he doesn't have a blockage) he showed us what was climb able, how to escape the ferret room (used his brother as a distraction) even gave me cuteness therapy so I wouldn't take my essential oils for my anxiety, he is a blessing and I love him so much.

Is salmon oil okay for ferrets?
My Ferrets Iris and Athena, Marshals Sisters, witch I have for 6 month now after buying them from a private owner nearby are about 2 years old where fed kipple and or chicken lightly boiled. I have them munching raw chicken and pork witch both entirely stash away. I just gave whole little chicken wings hoping both would have a blast chewing on them. No, they stashed them away. Looking for it I found more fresh meat from breakfast and older and wings in the same spot. And also they have plenty of spots to do there business but at least once a day they do it just out in the open like 1 foot away from any wall or corners or clean litter box. Any advice?

How to litter train:
there’s multiple ways, but, here’s the way I litter train. I put a litter box in the place they like to go it’s kind of a trial and error to figure that out. (You can put pee pads in the corners). In the mornings, they go to the bathroom, so when they wake up put them in their litter box. If they leave put them back in. They might scurry around trying to find a place bit just keep putting them back. They will eventually not be able to hold it and just do their business. Reward them once they *Come Out* of the litter box. You can use praises and pets to do this or treats.
Ferret proofing:
- Put pee pads in the corners of the room/house they like to do their business in (trial and error again).
-before letting your ferret(s) out, go around the area the will be playing in and checking for little holes they can get into and blocking them.
-if there is any tall furniture make sure there is no way for them to get up. They can get up fine, but can’t always get back down and a lot of the time their lack of fear leads them to jump off. The can be very fragile little creatures and can even break a bone from a high enough drop.
-make sure all closet are closed tightly and you might even have to put something infront of it.
- make sure not to leave any food lying around.
- not sure why but ferrets LOVE stealing remote controls so be aware of that
Bathing, nail trimming and ear cleaning: I know pazuandfriends did make a vid on this please don’t come after me. :)
Bathing: Ferrets do not needs baths. They have the same thing cats have on their tongues and they can clean themselves. I they get something sticky, or dirt you can rinse them with water (no soap). At most, 2 times a year is fine. Instead of bathing your ferret you can let them dig around in rice. It gets rid of the oils and keeps your carpet sharks smelling decent. If you give your ferrets to many baths, it will cause its body to produce more oils in replacement of the ones you’re trying to get rid of and cause them to smell worse.
Nail clipping: first off, to clip your ferrets nails use small cat/ferret nail clippers. And you see the red part off your ferrets nails? That’s called the quick. DO NOT cut that part it while cause your ferret to bleed. Cut horizontally underneath the quick. If there a a couple nails that are short, just don’t cut them. Unless needed.
Ear cleaning: clean the OUTSIDE of your ferrets ears with a damp cloth (no soap). Then check for ear mites. If you find some bring them to the vet.
Here are some good toys you can giver your ferrets:
- plastics water bottles. They like the caps but you might want to supervise and make sure they don’t eat them and choke or something.
-Mylar balls
-blankets. I know it doesn’t sound like a toy but they like to play with them
- jingle balls
- you can get a pool or playpen and fill it with colourful balls a lot of ferrets love this
- they love to play in those tubes. Can’t remember what they’re called lol.
- fishing rod things with the feather on the end for cats (forget what these are called too)
- they like studies just make sure there are no buttons, or those hard eyes, that can come out.
You can make diy things to just be sure it’s not rubber or so small it can swallow it

Hello! I have an important question. I just got another baby from the store yesterday and I'm trying to give him the food they gave him in the store. He wont eat the kibble and will only if it's in a syringe . How do I get him to eat ?

You see problems later in their lives as it builds up in their organs, so yes it is bad

Ash Ferret ferret food is bad for ferrets there s so many that are terrible. There’s only an odd few that are okay for ferrets and the odd cat food is ok for ferrets

Can I have L E D lights in my room with ferrets❓
ive heard that they arent the best for them? i am not sure why I have LED lights in my game room/ the room my ferrets run around in all day i just only use them late at night when the ferrets have been put to bed
