- In todays video we continue with the Losi Mini-B review series with some upgrades to try to get some more speed out of the Mini-B buggy. The stock 47T motor has decent acceleration but the top speed is a bit too slow for club racing. I noticed the Mini JRX2 came with a 42T motor called 'Jr's Choice'! From the numbers it looked like this motor would help with possibly another 1000 rpm! I also installed an aluminum motor mount in case I needed to change gearing if the motor was running too hot.
So what happened?
I installed the motor with the 18T pinion the Mini-B came with. The car was a little quicker, and was a little faster out of corners. The car was a little faster on the straights but it was not the speed I was looking for. Looks like we will have a part 5 with another motor test!

Cool video. It’s Junior’s Choice, though.
Oh I like that! I might have to put one in my Mini JrX2
This is the motor that comes with the Mini-Jrx2. On the straight the Mini-jrx2 and the Mini-B with this motor were the exact same speed. Must use the same gearing.
@@lawton70 I guess if I had gotten around to opening the box I'd know that. Lol picked it up from Anthony at black fly and never opened it yet
