- Zbrush Tutorial - Stylized Character Sculpting HD
This is an advanced Zbrush Tutorial on how to sculpt a stylized character concept.
In this Zbrush sculpting tutorial we start with a basemesh for a rough starting point. After that we slowly build up all the proportions we want and make sure the silhouette works for our purpose.
Following that we refine all shapes of the human face and add a polished look to it.
We talk about the aspects of different brushes and how they help us to create the geometry we want.
We also cover the importance of character design and how this guides us through the creation of our final sculpture.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial Stay tuned for more!

Nice work, except, big heads and close eyes are not a sign of "lack of intelligence". When using reference, you should be looking at shapes and shadows, not trying to bias your brain on what intelligence looks like.
It's not really the closed eyes that he was focusing on, it was more the size of the brows that commonly portray lack of intelligence. As attempted in Superman 2 with Zod's henchman as seen here -> vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/superman/images/a/ae/Non-movie.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110226194216
and -> www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiHocT5gaTTAhUlL8AKHaPMCbAQjRwIBw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fsuperman.wikia.com%2Fwiki%2FNon&bvm=bv.152479541,d.ZGg&psig=AFQjCNFCzqiqADdIGSsLO2vEhEFSPImGhg&ust=1492261587550908
Except, again, beedy eyes != lack of intelligence. Show me where that is a fact. Its not. Its a perceptual bias. I understand the intent, but the mechanism to deliver it is not great. Telling people your bias, or why you bias a shape /shadow form because "size of brows versus eyes" conveys "stupid" is a perceptual bias.
When you look at someone in the street, and they have small eyes and a large brow, you have your own instinctual bias affecting your choice to walk on the street with them, or cross to the other side.
We cant avoid it as humans in reaction, but we can DAMN SURE avoid disseminating that perceptual bias to others. Especially young (people) artists who are looking to make connections between their strokes and what they should convey.
Telling them that shapes and forms convey a certain look or feel is a tricky place, because, in essence, they don't convey anything more than the contrast of light. Anything beyond that is the creator and viewers own bias and perception of what it means to them.
Again, that last part, is a-okay.
I find it not a-okay to reinforce any stereotypes about the forms themselves; unless there is a factual bunch of information I am missing on how "small eyes" are an equivalency to stupid and not just a perceptual one.
wow...you must have small eyes, big forhead and big ears.... stfu instead.
You might have realized that the artist's english is not the best. I'm sure he didn't try to enforce a stereotype, he simply couldn't express what he meant well enough.
