this is the best American national anthem i have heard till now.
sung by an Spaniard
Because they picked someone who can actually sing it and not someone that is popular atm but can't nail the singing.
Totally agree. It's a difficult song. The hardest part is to sing the high notes while maintaining the strength and power. Those pop singers change the score because they can't do it. Domingo actually sang the original score, with all of the high notes and power. This is what's required by the song and as another comment points out, they finally found someone who can sing it! And yeah the hilarious thing is that the best version was sung by a Spanish lol.
@@ey8767it's definitely difficult. What makes it hard for me is it is an octave and a half. It's difficult to sing with a full powerful voice through this entire range. I have to change to my head voice up high or start at a low note that doesn't sound full and steady when I'm nervous.
@@ImNotADeeJay The way it should be.. Americans nowadays are goofy and exagerated, mariah carey, taylor swifs and whatevers..
Oh my lord I have chills this is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
NIce Placido Domingo Amazing job man 😀
BEAUTIFUL VOICE THANK YOU
That was chillingly fantastic! Thank you, Sr. Domingo!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I love the fact that when his name is announced there were clearly a large number of opera fans in the stands, because a roar of recognition went up and then when he gets to "land of the free" the whole stadium cheers as he sustains that high note! Outstanding. He's a legend for many excellent reasons. The greatest opera artist of all time singing our national anthem is pure joy.
I’ve never seen this 😂 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅😎

@@uppityglivestockian really?! that’s weird
Wide experience...... anyone else would have blown out a tonsil
It’s Enrico Pallazo!
I saw him perform it in 2006, Mets @ Nats home opener in RFK. Fantastic.
Placido Domingo Spain is with you...go up...
Great DOMINGO
Great job, Placido!!❤️❤️❤️
And btw, when Kirk Gibson got dropped after this series win, I gave up on baseball. Broke my heart.
That’s the way it’s supposed to be sung. With a real voice. With the right rythymn and tempo.
I love it. Thank you so much for sharing.
Гимн США

BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOOO Plácido you legend!
Amazing
Cool
He's reading the lyrics off a noteped
That's so he doesn't pull off a Robert Merrill disaster who, while getting the words mixed up , sang "what so proudly we hailed..by the blubirds". Fortunately ( or unfortunately) it's on UA-cam.
Jon Vickers' version is phenomenal singing in front of the Capitol bldg in DC on July 4th,1987...also on UA-cam.
@Grima, like all the orchestra musicians and the conductor, the singer is entitled to have the score at his disposal. Grow up.
And , what’s wrong with being precise . It is only a right being exercised
@@sgnmath1234I have watched Jon Vickers’ anthem and he’s fantastic. But I will check out Robert Merrill’s version. It seems to be hilarious lol.
It's almost like English isn't his first language! Go figure
