Guys its because at the bottom of the bumper there is meant to be supports that rest on the rad pack, it is that that causes all the issues get under and push the bottom out and the top in, treat this video as part 1 and my explanation as part 2

I tried this same method as you however it didn't last long, replaced the plastic with bolts with a nut on the other side and washers and its held up a lot better, not perfect but definitely better.

I did this with mine but it didn't do the job as well as I was expecting it to. What really helped was changing the fasteners that attach the bumper to the wing.

Thats not a MK6, it's a MK5. The MK6 came in 2008.
