cracking engines those zetec-se's, they run forever if looked after. i had the 1.6 litre version in my puma, bought it new in 2002 and never let me down in 14 years then i sold it on....
Next time i recommend NGK low price ones on spark plugs on zetec and duratec engine. They are the same price like bosch or ford, but the engine is more "round"
just bought a zetec 1.4, will defo be using this video as a guide for service. also not seen one of them socket tools for taking the oil filter out before that’s wicked😂
@mec-tec I'm in South africa 🇿🇦 but I will check it online....I drive a 2005 1.6 Ford Fiesta ghia and I'm the second owner since 2012 to date I'm never going to sell it I'm sorry regardless what my peers say or drive
Hi sorry for long msg but just seeing if you have any idea. i just purchased one of these and on cold start sounds fine but once i pull away under load sounds like a diesel. get about 2 to 3 mins up the road and sounds fine but once the oil warms i have a knocking noise on idle. do not notice or hardly hear it when revving its just on the idle and can hear it more clearly from inside of the car. sound like its from left side of engine, it has had the external belts replaced by last owner. someone did have a quick look and he said something about bottom pulley is wobbling a bit? Any help would be great and thanks for this vid really help full
Hi mate Its very difficult to say without hearing it, my first though is the idler puller and or tensioner on the auxillery belt that u said has been changed, they can make a hell of a racket if the bearings go, also has it ever had a cambelt and water pump ? It could be bad bearings in the waterpump or the cambelt tensioner itself, sorry i cant be anymore help than that im afraid Regards MEC 👍
@@mec-tec tried a 13 mm and it slipped on the top half, and a 14 mm slipped all around. I will just take it to the mechanic and ask him to fit a new plug. I have already bought the oil and filter so should just have to pay for the labour. I suppose I could file the bolt head if I was patient enough. I have the 1.2 fiesta 58 plate.
Great video. everything clear en thank god no stupid music. Thanx mate

Hi mate, are those fuel quick release clips easy enough to replace? Do they just come off the hoses? Cheers
Hi mate
I believe they are part of the hose itself, thats why i was praying they didnt break 🙈👍👍
