Great video just wish I could use it because my school doesn't offer AP Euro or AP US. I took AP world which was really fun and enjoyable. Great video btw. Honestly it took me a minute to realize you weren't some popular UA-camr I just hadn't heard of.
in this class, its almost all about the way you think. I took Euro in 10th grade and got a 5 on the exam, I never took notes in my class(dumb kid) but i just thought in terms of continuity. ofc i remember major events but you also have to take stuff and leave stuff. remember the big events and basis of conflict. Thats the meat of the knowledge, then season it with specificity(smaller events/dates/people) If your teacher doesnt give you LEQ and DBQ and SAQ tests then try to get them online. This course isnt hard, its just dense, but the fact theres only one continent to worry about(mostly) gives you advantage. memorization is less important than knowing the big ideas. good luck to ppl who are taking it
I sympathize with your experience, though it differs greatly from mine. Our teacher would divide the unit into its respective topics, i.e., National Identity, Systems of Power, and Culture. He let students pick a topic and gave them one to two weeks to research and create a presentation or study guide for the rest of the class to use. I chose mostly Systems of Power and Culture and coasted through the class with 80s and 70s, earning a 4 on the exam. Had I taken the time to study technology, for example, I probably would have had a more well-rounded experience. Although I did enjoy spending two weeks reading textbooks and watching lectures on English Philosophy during the Victorian era.
AP EURO was my first and ONLY AP class I took in highschool, I Literally almost killed myself that year..... not because of the class but it was still hard. Edit: I FUCKING HATED DBQS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my euro teacher barely did his job and just spent each period going off on the same couple subjects he knew about and gave us about 5 assignments a semester. i had a very easy time with the class but still good video
It has a way higher pass rate than APUSH and AP World. Literally just read the review book and the first paragraph of every European war's and every western European country's wikipedia page.
I'm a commerce student that's considering changing ap. Math to either history or pol.science (a term has already ended in my school) do you think I should do it?
As someone who loves history and wants to be a history teacher, I took ap world, then was going to take ap euro when my school decided that I NEEDED to take American history AGAIN, which just… I hated that so much. (Still glad I didn’t take apus tho)
if anyone is wanting for a genuine ap hardcore experience, i suggest not taking ap european history but instead take ap calc bc + physics c mechanics +physics c e&m ALL AT THE SAME TIME (yes I am doing that right now and yes I absolutely want to kms because of that)

Unfortunately my school didn’t offer AP Euro. Got 5s on World and APUSH. I’d say these classes prepared me for college best
