That you must ask the Half-Life 2 RTX team. Some of the models are from the Half-Life 2 Remade Assets Pack. And I believe I read that parts of that team joined the RTX team. So it might be they bring the assets over. Many other models are ripped from HL:A by diligent modders.
I think this looks really nice. The realistic models look pretty nice from an artistic stand point. However, some of the facial expressions and lip sync animations look a bit stiff. Especially on Eli. Other than that, I think everything looks pretty good.
Thank you! I absolutely agree. Kudos to all of the moders that went through the process to rig these characters so they work with a 20 year old animation system. I think they did the best they could.
Wouldn't regularly use this while playing but it still looks great in some parts If you want more "realistic" weapon models and animations I would recommend Project HL2 which is compatible with MMod
thanks. these are the same weapon models as project hl2, which uses juniez weapons. i personally disliked the the project hl2 animations. though the inspect animations are just georgeous the hand poses are too close up fore my liking. Like gordon is constantly sticking the gun to his face. the weapons i chose (juniez on mmod animations) are a bit less close so the amount of screen space for the viewmodel is more like in the original game. also project hl2 does not have the extended stock for the smg and the strap on the shotgun. both nice details that i like.
I believe you are referring to the friendly_encounter state. You’re right the vanilla gravity gun does not do this. That seems to be an oversight (or a deliberate decision?) of MMod. I don’t mind it that much. MMod and the Juniez weapons add so much to the game I feel it’s the much lesser evil.
Honestly, it’s not that bad. I’d much rather something like this than some of the more over the top shit other mods do with their weapons. It’s a small price to play it the way the game looks. Those it is annoying when it’s down that way during the point you do finally get it. Because it’s nice to keep the Gravity Gun up most times

die war tatsächlich schon in der 2004er version. hab gerade nochmal nachgeschaut. man ist nur nie in den tunnel gegangen.

Gordons glasses were burnt , and gordon has a slightly concerning amount of brain damage
