I've taught countless people how to wake board and I say dominant foot back
Electric peak ventures this is correct
I disagree
But it’s inconsistent; tell people to ride how they skateboard. Some people are goofy (left in back) even if they’re right handed
I am dominant foot forward, like he said
Molly Lindeen but a lot of people don’t ride like that, that’s why the term “goofy” exists
Good information here. I just bought a ski boat last summer with tower. This summer we plan on using the tower. Wasn't sure about speed and line length so this video was really helpful. I just bought a good beginner board all we need is summer to come as we live in iowa and it's freezing right now.
Really great performance congratulations 👍
dominant foot should always be back just like snowboarding
Yes
Joe Felton my dominant foot ( right ) is at the back but it feels comfortable when I land and ride
Joe Felton i meant to say that it is at the front and it feels fine
Unless you're goofy..? Think about that?
if you're goofy that means your dominant foot is the left. and it is still in the back. lol
Set a skateboard on the ground and ask em to take a couple quick steps and jump on it just as it comes naturally. That's honestly the best way to decide if they're goofy or regular foot.
A word to the wise is sufficient. Wakeboarding is fun, BUT wiping out on a wakeboard can be brutal. My 14 year old granddaughter is a pretty good wakeboarder, but on July 19, she wiped out and slammed the water hard, head first. She suffered a fractured skull, brain bleed, and traumatic brain injury. Thank God she's still with us and recovering, though the doctors have said if her "ping pong" skull fracture does not heal properly, they may have to operate and cover it with a titanium plate. Her neurologist told her parents she was extremely fortunate, that while practicing in Utah, he had a patient with a very similar injury that did not survive. She wants to get back on her wakeboard, but it all depends upon the healing. I don't discourage wakeboarding, but as with any sport, be safe.
Wakeboarding earlier this summer with family and a young girl on our boat did a scorpion kind of move when she fell (face first and legs swung back towards her head) and the back of the board hit her in the head hard and cut it open. I've been riding for 10 years and have never seen anything like it. She ended up in the ER with 14 staples. We now ALWAYS wear a helmet when we ride.
I wanna try this soon yipppiiiu
Cool Josh
I agree. Dominant foot in back. Good vid otherwise
there are exceptions. my right foot is dominant. I ride snowboard, wakeboard, surfboard, skateboard regular stance. but skim board I ride goofy

dustin Lambert same
dustin Lambert wait I have a question . I played soccer all my life and my dominate foot playing soccer is my left foot, but I snowboard with my left foot forward & also the same with skateboarding and surfing. So I guess my dominant foot in soccer doesn’t apply to this ? I’m going wakeboarding in a few days that’s why I’m asking lol . Last time I went was years ago
What board is that
What is dominant foot?
