    i just started wake boarding about 2 weeks ago and got this board, i can already edge really well and jump pretty consistently its a great board, but i have a 134 and not the 143 if you want a board that big you better be over 200 pounds or at least close. Also it is very forgiving when you catch an edge its not impossible to recover. Good luck with your decision man!

    The trip has an aggressive continuous rocker which will help with landing softer and more reliable air as compared to an aggressive 3stage rocker, the trip is a pretty reliable board for anyone

    the board size is really rider preference but for a larger rider you do not want a board that is small. Im about 6' 200 lbs and i ride a 138 board. You just want a board that the rider feels comfortable on and can control the board easily. Most boards have "molded in side fins" with a removable middle fin that helps in tracking. Removing the middle fin will give you less traction on the water but will allow the rider to do surface spins without catching an edge.

    Great learning video as I kept finding difficulty in turning on my toe-side - let alone jumping - but this has helped and now can't wait to get out to try again!!

    What exercises are good for preparing my body for wakeboarding?
    And what is the speed that boat has to have?
    Also please tell me there are 3 positions between feet. What position should I use for beginners?
    And what angle is the correct for beginner?
    Thanks a lot if you reply
    Best regards

    @Farmboy011 I wouldn't recommend Doing this with a Middle fin, the edge fin is probably fine they are often smaller.

    Whats the fin set up on your board? Does it matter for me trying to learn this? Like should I take off my non molded in ones to avoid catching an edge or learn with em?

    is it required to have the rope on one of those high bars to jump?

    Hey, so I'm brand new to the world of Wakeboarding. I've done skiing and knee boarding, though. I'm currently looking at buying a Liquid Force Trip 143 board.
    Is that a good selection? I've read that it's good for beginner/intermediate riders, but at the same time, it has 6 fins, so I wasn't sure if that would affect my ability to break loose the board, such as in this video. Thanks much!

    I have an older board that has two larger fins. From viewing this video, I would think that the fins would catch on the water and throw me forward.... is that incorrect, or do I need to get a newer style board with smaller fins on the outsides of the board ?

      @agustinc6102 8 років тому

      You could try removing the fins to learn this :)

    or investing in fat sacs will help make the wake larger without making "expensive" upgrades.

    well. Honestly. A lot of wake-boarding has to do with the wake that the boat is able to make. The best thing I could suggest would be buying a pylon that gets the rope out of the water but even then, there is only so much it will do.

    yeah easy for you but for someone new to it you will catch yr back edge at 25mph +

    • @adamhale6672
      @adamhale6672 6 років тому

      WYIMANtheTOON that’s awfully fast for a wakeboarder! You might find a better wake at slower speeds. If practicing the drill is tricky or if you’re catching edges try slowing down to 18ish to get used to the toe side slide before speeding it up

    • @wyimanthetoon1797
      @wyimanthetoon1797 6 років тому

      Adam Hale because I ride with decent riders it’s hard to keep up but will give the slower speed a go be good getting more pop this should be good practice

    • @adamhale6672
      @adamhale6672 6 років тому +1

      WYIMANtheTOON I have the opposite problem. Every time we go out everybody wants to see me wakeboard and I never have time to do drills or do practice runs. Consequently I haven’t learned anything new for a long time

    • @XFitJunkie
      @XFitJunkie 6 років тому

      I have the same exact problem, Adam. I am not good, best i have is a toe side back roll. But relatively, I am a pro rider compared to the people that go with me. So, like you i spend most of my time teaching progression to people and not progressing myself.

  • @dontdiecurious
    @dontdiecurious 13 років тому

    IF YOU DO THIS WITH A BIG MIDDLE FIN YOU WOULD PROBABLY FALL BACKWARDS, MOUNT IT OF FIRST.

  • @TheCrazyeyeskillah
    @TheCrazyeyeskillah 12 років тому

    Let me just correct myself. If you are looking to get big air, wakeboarding requires you to get an expensive boat but if you just like riding, than any boat will do.

    You do not need a 55 -100k boat...., that's Ridiculous. I Borg behind a 32k Sea Doo wake 230 and it's as great as any moomba or master raft

  • @TheCrazyeyeskillah
    @TheCrazyeyeskillah 12 років тому

    wakeboarding is extremely expensive because it requires you to get a 55-100 thousand dollar boat. I can't afford that and I don't know many people who are willing to pay that much for luxury item.
