I think you have no idea how your vlogs crossed the globe and reached me, a young man in Brazil trying to find his way in life while dealing with depression and social phobia. I admire you and your work so much, thank you very much for being a light in our lives, accompanying you is therapeutic and motivating, it helps me think about what I could be doing better in my life. I graduated in graphic design, but today I switched to programming. It still warms my heart to see someone like you who loves design. I think resting and slowing down is really important, as an Asian we are always told to work hard and produce work with productivity. But, sometimes we need to have an abundance amount of energy to complete a work that is of high quality. 😊
can relate to the internship less summer :/ your awareness and honesty is so commendable. it's okay to take a break and it doesn't undermine your passion for art/design just because you're not creating for a couple weeks. also I can't lie, it's super exciting hearing your future plans, they're awesome!
That's the freedom of being a student, just enjoy the down time while it is still available to you. I did the same. Then I had fellow classmates that went the other route, did internships for ad agencies for junior year, and went all out in terms of what working in a career is like. No problem with that either, they are building mental mechanisms on how to be constantly creative while under stress.

I also decided to drop one of my goals this summer which was to start learning Korean. I’m now tryna prep digital storage room for my senior year to help with my club at the moment bc I’m such a hoarder LOL
Computer Programmer here. You touched on summer projects in your major. I often did programming projects over the summer for fun. It was pretty common with my fellow classmates in college.
I FEEL U i always thought that i NEED to be working on something in design to keep the practice, the update on my progress, prob the professionalism (? and i would always study even on vacations or breaks, and so i thought this time i could take a real break but my friends push me over to go and attend to some elective class during summer and now i gotta go (again) it's good, like im not complaining, im gonna learn a lot but at the same time, is like, isn't only me that is feeling like i need some rest? maybe focusing on design but more privately? idk im about to learn more packaging design and editorial design too! so at least im hoping to get so much better! and really take a break on christmas timeㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I think they really suit you. 😊 My old glasses frame was similar to yours and I've always been the kind of person to wear contacts over glasses because they made me self-conscious. But seeing someone pull them off so well makes me feel more confident to wear my glasses. 🥰

But you’re right, forcing myself to make projects and be productive isn’t actually productive. I appreciate your honesty and saying it’s okay to enjoy the summer. Appreciate you 🫶🏻
You do have a project though! You have this whole channel and you upload so consistently! Don't underestimate the time and skills that go into that even if it doesn't feel like it's a new thing. Without disclosing the actual channel, simply saying you built up a youtube following of over 200k people is itself something you can use to impress a potential employer. I work in a related industry to you (advertising) and the social media stuff plus crossover skills like editing and video are definitely valuable and worth bringing up in interview/resumes/portfolio for real! Just remember this is creating too, and you're always building your skills with everything you work on even if you don't realize it :o)
