About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.
In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I will also be hosting my own TV show called "Super Dad" on the new Magnolia Network / Discovery+. Heidi and the kids will also be a part of the show. I am originally from the rural community of Howard, South Dakota.

I love the little Jab at “You Betcha “ my friend only drinks Busch light “
hahahaha
I just noticed that lol
Came here to say this lol
He drinks on a budget and can get 6 people drunk on three pitchers.
I know right!
as a native coloradoan this guy hit so many stereotypes i didn't even know were stereotypes. i don't know whether i should feel attacked or impressed
thats fr
Scary accurate!
Feel stupid
He’s from Colorado
Same here bro 100%
The people in these comments be like “as someone who was conceived in Colorado and has lived in Texas for the first 11 years of my life, you totally nailed it!”
As someone born and raised in the Springs I’ve never felt more called out especially during that green Chile bit
Colorado green "chile"🙄
If you dont chew big red then fuck you
I meant live in colorado springs*
Theres so many springs tho, which one?!
@@cbboswell7910The only one that matters...
Colorado springs
I'm not a Colorado native but my kids are. And you nailed it!
Same!
I used to see a bumper sticker in Denver that said "Don't Californicate Colorado" 🤣
Use to see one that said, ‘if god wanted Texans to ski, he would have made bullshit white.’
Too late
I think you see those in all states that aren’t California.
We have one for montana
I have a bumper sticker that reads, "Thanks for visiting, now go back home"
The most impressive part is how they hid the cameras to get actual real life footage of this guy
Lol
Please do a winter version!!!
"If you don't get first chair are you even skiing?!"
As a Colorado native, you absolutely nailed it! Well played, lmao.
yeah it was funny for me because i know so many people that moved here from other states and they act like this somtimes but with most natives we do blame everything on california
@@irradiatedwolf3991 Florida and Illinois's coming in hot too.
As a native myself I disagree with 90% of this.
@@jdog4303 But are you a Boulder native. 😊 I'm a (mountain south) native and felt definite Boulder vibes from it. Hilarious imo but to each their own.
@@CT1010101 no but lived by there for many years.
Hey hey, as a native Col-o-RAD-o-an...I approve. And our tap water is legit. Also, chap stick is life.
I have chap stick in my room, bathroom, front room, purse and car. Cant live without
We all know the real pain of being caught out and about without. That's suffering.
As a Texan who visited Colorado last week, I can vouch this is exactly how it goes down. Spot on.
Immediately recognized that’s the REI in Fort Collins.
OMG SAME!!! The REI next to Barnes and noble!!!!
I keep hoping I'll run into him in FOCO
@@kristen7623 I know same!!!!
The one off college. Driven by that store countless times but I’ve never been inside it
I new it because of the new Belgium
As a native who's been out of Colorado for awhile, I feel like an exile that has been banished and can never return. I miss it with all my heart, but know it is irrevocably different and changed from what is was. I blame the Californians
What the heck happened dude?
@@helplessnarwhal3722
Well the Californians burned down their own state and now we're next.
@@helplessnarwhal3722 Californians
Same with Seattle.
This is everywhere. I’m from Maine and it’s the same thing here but mostly with rich Brooklynites.
This is... far too accurate
The tap water is no joke.
Absolutely!
Unless your in the Springs where everyone knows there is jet fuel in the drinking water but nobody talks about it.
Yeah full of fluoride. Yummy neurotoxin.
@@TheSilverLining80 That is one of the reasons I run an RO filter for my water.
Colorado water sucks what on earth are you talking about? Maybe if you live in the mountains.
“Move it California!” Is the most Colorado thing ever when driving lol
This has actually happened to some of my friends who moved to Colorado.
This is hilarious. Especially the TX and CA transplant part. They're multiplying like flies lol.
It's going to wind up like Seattle and Portland or San Francisco. Just watch. Smart folks left Colorado years ago when we saw what this mass migration from failed commie states was doing.
@@MajorChipHazard1 lmao tex and cali two way different states how they both commies
@@therealfett9580 "Liberals" from Texas are moving to Colorado clearly.
@@MajorChipHazard1 but wait isn't colorado a blue state? Makes sense for them to move here from tex, Cali idk guess Cali just sucks
@@therealfett9580 Colorado is a red state with a blue city in the middle.
As a Colorado Native I would be absolutely offended if i wasn't laught so freaking hard !!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Killed it!
13e4
As a native Coloradan from Fo-Co, I found this hilarious and sad at the same time. 😅
Why sad?
It just is
@@TheSilverLining80 because the state is going to shit because of transplants
We are a very, very memeable population
"Move it California!" Best part.
Nailed it. As a recovering Boulderite, I can say you’ve learned a lot in two weeks.
As a Colorado Native this is completely accurate!! Colorado is in my soul!! Love the 303 and couldn't be prouder to be a native!!
720
970 but when I was growing up in Telluride area the whole state was 303
Me to I'm from south dakota but lived here most of my life
983
*more proud. Guess the 719 are the educated Colorado natives 🤣
Hi Mat here, I've lived here 5 months which is almost 1/2 a year which is almost 1 year. This 1 year is 10% of a decade so I've basically been living here for 10 years. You can say I'm native to Colorado if it makes it easier 🙃
haha!
😆😂
Nice... 😂😂
Born and raised Colorado. Left last year after 60 plus.... they messed up a gorgeous state! we loved the video!! Spot On!! Thank for the laughs.
I'm 39, and completely agree. I'm a native here. Remember when there was nothing on the north east side of the springs, when woodland park only had two traffic lights, and homelessness was pretty much non existent in the springs. I'd love to move to a far less liberal state.
Lived here most of my life. Lived in SoCo, FoCo and NoCo. Been to LoCo and Boulder. #Truth!
“Move it California” 😂 I knew I wasn’t the only one
Two weeks, I just love Colorado so much. I love it how he looks at you like really.
I lived in Colorado for 4 years, loved every minute of it
Seriously laughing as a respectful Texan who has visited a few times and is looking at moving to Breck. Love your work!!
Are Texans not respectful...?
I am a Realtor. This is accurate and beyond hilarious!
How do you know if someone is a REALTOR@? They tell you within 30 seconds of going out of their way to meet you :D (j/k j/k lol)
worse than vegans.
Grouping these people in certain areas sounds like redlining to me.
I know exactly where that Barnes & Noble and REI are. 😂 Fort Collins represent!
Lived in Gunny for 7 years (my parents still live there) and it didn't happen to me. But I saw people dressing like western slope locals a few weeks after coming from afar. However if you've never been a long term resident you won't get half the jokes and people usually take years to learn all this.
So damn true!!! As a Colorado native that is completely accurate!
As a native..it sucks here, no reason to come. Please leave.
There are so many cool places in the U.S. with great quality of life and job opportunities but the big brains fleeing their failed states only can figure 3 places to go.
1). Florida
2). Texas
3.) COLORADO
I tell people the same thing about MT. I hear NoDak is nice.lol
I guess there is one thing to be thankful about living in Nebraska…nobody wants to move here, if they can help it!
Can't fool me, Colorado is my comfort zone and I don't live there lol
@@Sean0780 Its pretty sad to see what some of the small towns in Nebraska are turning into though.
This is the best thing I’ve seen all day!! Great work!! We just moved to The Springs from CA... but don’t tell anyone I’m from CA. 😝 Welcome to ColoRADo!
So on point. You are hilarious. Thank you for the laughter.
This was great too! So now I know if I ever move to The Centennial State what I need to do and “know” I guess?! 😅 Also the pot reference was funny but I live in Michigan so I’ve heard those refs before! Unfortunately 😣
as one who’s literally been born and raised in colorado, this is so spot on
Literally
Left colorado in 93. So glad im not there anymore.
As a Native, this video made me cry laugh almost instantly. So accurate 🤣🤣🤣
As an actual CO native, this video hit the spot lol. Loved it!
Born and raised Colorado here… my small mountain town is all trendy and foodie now. We were doing just fine without y’all but nooo…… just had to come😆
I'm sorry to hear that. The transplants from places like Cali are trying to "modernize" small towns with their pop culture BS and their ugly alphabet flags.
Well done ! We have lived in FC 30 years...you nailed it...
I just watched your other video where you moved to Fort Collins. I did not realize that you lived here!!! I was born in FC!!!!!
The fly fishing got me lmao
Gotta be a cutbow lol
I live in Fort collins Colorado as well and that is SO TRUE!!!!!!!
Why is this so true, as a Colorado native I think you should do a winter version!
Dude- you’re 1:48 jab at Miles is gold
Well played
As a person who lived in Colorado the first 11 years of my life, you absolutely nailed it!
0:00 I live in Fort Collins and went to the REI and Barns and Nobles, funny some filming took place in my hometown, and the Subaru part is very accurate lol we all love them
The colorado vs coloraado is so accurate. 😂
I know this is gonna get me in trouble but generally, I've found I just don't like people who drive a Subaru but you two make it different lol. You're just awesome people!
Born and raised here, couldn't imagine living anywhere else!! LOVE Colorado!!!!! You nailed it!!! Lol 😂
I've been stationed here in CO for over a year now and this is hilarious. I immediately noticed the Subaru thing and I love Green Chiles!
“You’re dumb, you’re dumb, let’s go bike riding”
Even after two weeks, you nailed living in Colorado! It's a great place. I recently moved after living there for 25 years. Enjoy!!!
HILARIOUS!! GOOD JOB!! I loved this.
I'm just here the help the comment count. Love your content!
I’ve been here since before the “Green Rush” and there’s nothing worse than the Californians moving to Colorado.
Trust me I live in Arizona and they've recently flooded us too, it's freeking awful
I put laxatives in Californians beer
Everyone hates that CA people are moving into their states. LOL
People from colorado are just as terrible as people from California, sincerely a Wyomingite
@@4BanginYJ Colorado is San Fran 15 years ago.
U guys are awesome and funny. I bet there's never a dull moment in your house. Lol
Holy fuck- the hike scene.
You live in or around Fort Collins.
I live up the backside of horsetooth lake.
😂😂😂😂
Love how he was in foco 🤌🏽
I flipping love ❤️ your videos! Feels good to laugh.
As someone living in Colorado near 2yrs now, totally agree!! Beer, decisions on which jacket to wear, no hiking for me though, refusing to buy anything but subaru, no matter the cost, no politics, chapsticks, obsession with mountains, everything!! No smoking fir me!!
Having lived in CO Springs and Southern Germany, those walking poles are like a Picasso in this sketch
I feel like I was in Denver for 5 minutes.
We will be in the Springs in October then onto Estes for some aspen, elk, moose and fishing.Wonderful state.
Hahaha! Love the Boulder comment. I live in FoCo.
HAHA Omg... im a Colo native and this had me dying of laughter.
I was crying
Every word was spot on lol :)
Contrary to the more recent Colorado video you did, this one is actually a pretty darned accurate depiction.
Love it! I'm a Wisconsinite that transplanted to "The Springs" 6 years ago...🤣🤣🤣
Haha I love the sarcasm. The comments were disabled on his other video about transplants from California. If he took 70 west talking like that he’d eventually end up in the Plumas in a difficult situation.
I’ve lived in Colorado for almost 15 years and I gotta say this guys nailed the Coloradan stereotype 😂😂
Omg. This was spot on!
This one of your best, being a transplanted Colorado native myself
as someone who has lived in colorado my whole life this is so realatable
NO-CO here, a winter version would be great, can't be Colorado without the FANTASTIC skiing!!
Thank you
This is awsome. Plus that place has such good green chilie. Big fan hope to run into you soon
Right on dude!!! Almost all of those words have come out of our CO mouths! Especially about CA and Texans, the water, the Subaru. hahaha
This is exactly true in Idaho too ..we feel your pain…😂🙏
Funniest video ever...you nailed it man!
I loved living in CO. Weed got legal and the place went to hell. And I toke man. Housing skyrocketed. Freeway system sucked even more. Every stoner in America was trying to move to CO. 11,000 feet snow mama.
This is sooo true! Except for the hiking, you looked a little like a tourist
Honestly, I'm from the front range and I can attest that this video is 100% on point
"Just a small town NoCo girl."
“How many 14ers have you done?” I lost it
My face hurts from laughing! I'm a Colorado "native". Okay, I've been here a year. All of what you say is true! FoCo!!!!!
Dad dude, you nailed it, love the $300 rei jacket comment. How about doing a winter version?
A few more months and we'll get a mention about how smelly Greeley is.
"Yep, did you feel the wind shift? Thats Greeley blowing in..."
What has happened since New Belgium has been sold to a foreign owner? I don't consider it a local craft brew anymore since they've changed the formulas & such. 😢
I can’t even be mad 😂😂 this is spot on
So true as a native I don’t know when Subarus because the icon supplanting Jeeps in Colorado. I have to shake my head at the Subarus as I drive my Jeep by. My now wife was even driving one when I met her…. I’ll forgive her she’s from SoCal. SMH hee hee.
You are the funniest couple on line. Watch every video.
I used to work at that REI two years. Ft. Collins is awesome!
Oh my goodness this is too accurate
I’ve lived in Colorado a majority of my life and this is super on point 😂
Yep you nailed it.
Your millwright buds love this stuff.
I’m from Texas but I live in Colorado now and I am cracking up at this 😂🏔☀️
Why? You aren’t native 😂
