I have two of their bags, a briefcase and backpack. Both have been good companions over the last four years. I did want a few more when in my addiction phase, but I came to my senses. A bag or two will do! On a plus side, there have been no other temptations or purchases. I got two Hanks belts and a wallet plus the two saddleback bags. My bank account cried for many months but I'm way back in the positive and I don't see anything new on the horizon. I don't even browse existing options. My belts both look great still, mild but beautiful patina. The wallet looks mostly new, just softer edges. Both saddleback bags are flawless other than light scuffs. I am surprised how the leather holds up with minimal care. I will probably get a few more belts as backups. As good as Hanks and Saddleback warranties are...100 years is just fun marketing. I will die (I'm 48) in half that time BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY the company will close well before the next century turns. So good warranties don't equal long term protection. Maybe I'll get another bag in 10 or 15 years. The saddleback business model is buy once cry once mostly, but a few select overindulges seem to keep the company thriving. What I still have not figured out is... Are the bags made by his little group down there from good Mexican leather OR are the bags made by some big company of good Mexican leather? I feel that Dave likes to visually take a larger role in most things compared to what he really does. At most he designs the bag and gives the specifications to the real manufacturer. As cool and great as Saddleback is, the real hero is the manufacturer and tanner. Neither of those are Dave or in Texas. I still like the company and have their products which I really enjoy. I'm just not as impressed as I was originally. I thought it was Mexican leather assembled in Texas. Really, a USA based retailer is buying great bags made to spec from Mexico.
@@ToxicityAssured form what I gathered, the bags are made from leather that is sourced from North American cattle. Whether that is Mexico, the US or Canada, I cannot tell. With the bags are made in Mexico and then shipped to Texas to be distributed. I believe they are made at Dave’s in-house factory in Mexico.

A few months ago I was probably getting as many jackets reviews in as possible since I will be wearing the same jacket nearly every day for a year now (11 months left!)! haha. The Redline Rally is in full swing! But I still have to come back to one of my main loves.....bags!

The bags are made in Mexico, they have a showroom in Azle,TX but their factory is in Mexico. Still good stuff though
