Detroit Southwest Greenway Another Sneak Peak

- **UPDATE - SOUTHWEST GREENWAY OFFICIALLY OPENED ON MAY 24, 2023**
A Return to the Southwest Greenway after visiting last month to check on the progress. Still looking for an official opening date. It looks like they still have lots of work. Fingers crossed it will be sometime in May or June of 2023. The Greenway will provide easy access for non-motorized travel between the Detroit Riverfront Trail and Corktown. I had a great run using the Southwest Greenway for access to the Detroit River Walk.

Excited for these projects to be completed as i recently bought a house near Belle Isle! Having the connections by bike from Midtown to the Riverwalk will be game changing!

The idea of walking/running though Detroit is terrifying to me. Even if the weather was pleasant why would anyone want to risk it?
Thank you for watching and your comments. Although I have worked and gone to school in Detroit, safety is always a concern. On this run I was with a group of runners and recommend the same for anyone else.
