They are super willing to change almost everything in the instrument. All you have to do is email to the company. I ordered mine, but after half a year I wanted to change my order, which was totally fine. So they're super helpful and fast in communicating.
Hi Chris! We do not use D'Addario anymore, currently we're using Thomastik. G3 will be the G string in the viola set, and G4 will be the A string in the set.

The letters A to G are used to denote certain tones in music. Like Marti said you can find explanation on that in most basic music theory for beginners videos on UA-cam. If you have a bit of spare time you could try those out :) And most hurdy gurdies are tuned to G/c, which means a G open string, which corresponds to a standard C major (the basic of most instruments). If you have an open string in G, that also means that the keys in your left hand correspond to the black and white keys on a piano, so if you can play a simple melody with your left hand on a piano, you can play that same melody on a gurdy as well :)
This is wonderful, except I have no idea what you are talking about (WTF is C or G or D or any other letters of the alphabet to start with?) What's the key position to do these sounds? What key do I need to play? Which key is "C"?
That's essentially just basic music theory - if you imagine piano keys, the whites are, in order, C,D,E,F,G,A,B and then C again, and they're the names of the notes (or precise sound frequencies) (that's why they're the same on nearly every instrument). Im not an expert, like at all, but I think hurdy gurdies are similar to piano in the sense that 1 key is 1 sound (though you can tune the strings easier than on piano?). So if I'm not horribly mistaken (I might be I don't know anything about hurdy gurdies i've just watched violin stuff on youtube), the "C" is the open string, so you play it without pressing keys, and the first key you press would make a D. That's what I'd imagine anyway. I'd recommend either trying to learn basic piano playing or then just looking into some music theory alone if you want to try and understand all that (i understood like. maybe half. scales confuse me. XD)

If I try to imagine piano keys, I cannot imagine anything at all beyond the fact that this is what piano players put their fingers on. Sorry, I never had a musical education. Well, I tried to give you the most basic answer to help you to maybe start understanding it. I really don't know enough to actually teach you and youtube comments aren't exactly the greatest medium for that anyway. And I tried to say, CDEFGAB are the names of specific sound frequencies, known as notes. I think in hurdy gurdies the lower set of keys corresponds roughly to the CDEFGAB, or white keys on the piano, while the set on top seems to correspond to the different modifications of the basic notes, or the black keys on a piano. I'm sure theres tons of resources on youtube alone that can teach you more about those.
Sorry if my writing sounded condecending or something, I just assumed you wanted to know since you asked. If someone asked a question about the basic grammar of sanskrit and I happened to know, I'd try to answer.

Is normal to break the low C string so easily? I only have broken two strings and both were low C 🤣. Both were trying to fine tune the string
Sometimes melody strings break during tuning when they're too tense. Did both of the strings break in the same place?
@@ancestore8767 Yes, In the purple part, I was trying to tunning it, but all of sudden something sounded like a big "clak" and the string died
