After a few years of just trudging along, First Halifax & Huddersfield are starting a wide range of upgrades to their fleet and passenger experience following the emergence of Transdev owned Team Pennine. From new refurbishments to a new way to buy your ticket, I discuss how the upgrades are impacting Halifax and what we can expect in the future.

Bradford have buses with the "tap off" readers too
Wasn't aware it was expanding to Bradford too, scary times aha
Bluestar down in the south coast has tap on and tap off aswell (tap off reader at exit door)
And Leeds buses as well

Diamond buses which is part of the Rotala group in West Midlands and Worcestershire have a tap and go system as well I think other bus companies are possible having this as well

It was strange I was on the 37964 yesterday on the 576 route too. Looks nice with its refurb but wish the could have changed the ring bells to a grey housing with red button

Aye it does look good but could be improved. I think if I had to choose one it was a Saffle bodied B10L with a missing floor that was pretty incredible aha

yes Alex thay do have volvo B9TL in first essex colchester and chelmsford has them but only KN53 KJX i think in colchester thay keep on chanageing them all of the time.
Ah thats good, I imagine it can get annoying if they keep transferring stuff around all the time aha

Is it just Halifax and Huddersfield that will be be in olympia livery? As I thought Leeds had that green livery with Leeds branding
Leeds will stay with their green style whilst the rest of West Yorks are planned to just go into olympia
Now this year in Bradford getting a new brand before the clean air zone
They went to Blackburn Bus & Coach for the refurbishment

I just want to let you know one of hd connect Wright elispice 69564 new refurbished hand pols and new refurbished seats and paint work if your interested they will be on 372 service
I already take picture of new refurbished b9 in a while ago it was first day in service

Another amazing video but the interior refurbishments are disappointing, the light blue bar at the top and outdated flooring combined with continuation of Olympia is all pretty underwhelming. Glad first South Yorkshire are going in a different direction, I even think the old blue grab poles combined with the new FSY mosque looks a lot better than the grey and pink with the outdated purple walls & floor.
Safe to say in South Yorkshire we are incredibly lucky with the standard of refurbishment thats taking place. Sadly West Yorkshire are going for a low cost basic approach that I understand but just doesn't look anywhere near as good as Sheffield do now
It better Halifax and Huddersfield and Bradford should get a new brand and new buses
Aye well unfortunately they do always seem to just get cascades from Leeds

Why not Halifax, Halifax buses were disgusting and it was ALX 400 central or Volvo B10BLE central. First Halifax keep replacing their buses as they didn't take care of their vehicles.

It is my personal choice to still wear it on public transport however thanks for your comment

Because management most likely are totally uninterested in improving their vehicles and are only there for the pay. I mean why on earth would you spend money refurbishing seats and grabrails, then leave the outdated branding on for the wrong area. Exactly what is attractive to private car users about this bus is unknown to me.

Another half arsed job by first, showing how incompetent they are. They'll end up just as disgusting internally as the 'refurbed' x63s have.
Well hopefully some interior branding will appear as it would be nice to compliment this initial refurb job
