Just to echo everyone else really. You're a champ for getting through the install and not sending the lot back for a refund. I also considered pipe works. Not anymore 😂 chair break was classic too. That shit happens to me all the time.
I put a Pro Race on my MT10SPand its superb build qualityi actually left my cat on and got it flashed as the stock cat is a high flow cat anyway which was the advice given at junction 33 who tunes all my bikes

Ive just fitted same exhaust to my 2018 had the same issue with the headers not lining up they where too wide. Used a joinery quick clamp and got it on. The hardest bit for me was removing the cat i had to bash it with a lump hammer and bend it with a screwdriver. I agree the welds are poor but they do what they need to do they dont blow and the exhaust sounds brilliant though took me about 3 hours from start to finsih today
Thanks for taking the pain. Maybe the Pipewerx jig was for gen 1 bikes. Either way it was a bit strange how the replacement went on without issue. Some pretty big tolerances they must have. Doesn't provide me with much confidence tbh. The fact the O2 sensors don't fit with the pipe fully seated when they've made allowances for them in the link pipe beggars belief. I really hope they get it sorted as I love the look of the pipe and was seriously considering one but now I'm hesitant. Waiting to see how your stressful escapade turn out before I do more my own research and pull the trigger on one. Sounds great though and can't wait to hear it on a run.
Research is everything. There's a place in Long Crendon called Good Fabs. They make all kinds of pipes for cars and bikes. I know for a fact that that there quality is second to none. As far as the end can, I've never even heard of pipeworx.
You got there in the end. What a pain. I would of sent it back. So many on the market to chose from. I put a akrapovic mid pipe and used standard end can. Then got long pipewox can only for track. 02 sensors should of fitted no matter what. Sounds great tho. Best part of the yamaha's 👍🏼
I had the Gen 1 and put the exact same exhaust on it ! And I had exactly the same problem ! That’s back in 2016 ! I used a clamp across the header pipes to squeeze them together so I could get the link pipe to fit it was a proper ball ache and that’s on stainless headers ! So the headers now being titanium has absolutely nothing to do with the sizing ! Although that pipe does look and sound good I won’t be going back to Pipewerx for the exhaust for my Gen 2 ! Sorry but piss poor on there geometry ! On a brighter note I’m enjoying your videos 👍

I just had a look at delkavic site, and on there systems you can see the o2 sensors are a lot closer to the ends of the 2 pipes, hmm. If it was me in pipewerx, as soon as I would have got a few picks of the link pipe I would have sent another one out, quality control seems to be a bit amiss, almost as if the link pipe and end can were done by two seperate companies.
Pretty hilarious, you mentioned about black widow, scorpian and the other general slightly cheaper brands providing way superior quality in terms of condition on the welds etc. This is like some aliexpress type shit, the pipe looks good though and you generally don't see them parts so i guess it's not the end of the world. Just sad especially when customer service doesn't even acknowledge the clear defects and shit welds
Think it would be a similar issue due to the spacer. However, after riding this for a few weeks since I installed it, it doesn't seem to have interfered at all which is good

That's a real bummer that the quality of the pipewerx lonk pipe is so bad as that was my preferred exhaust for my mt10. I'm not surprised though as a lack of skilled labour in manufacturing in the uk is rife right now. See it all the time in my work we're so desperate for welders that they are willing to employ absolute imposters.

This is awful work from pipeworx in my opinion, ratchet straps and an o2 sensor delete just to get an exhaust to fit as atrocious. I had an eBay exhaust that fit better than this
After watching that, i would never buy Pipewerx.. that was really bad. sorry you had to go through that.

Mate what a hassle… I fitted a Scorpion Decat Exhaust yesterday was the easiest job I’ve ever done slid right on no problems at all
U can buy 2nd hand link pipes and cans cheaper than that new pipewerx crap. Got a scorpion like new for £350 and fitted no problem.

had the titanium version on one of my zrx, was a good budget end can until I got a proper titanium full system.
