@@audio5552Stainless frets are a pointless gimmick anyway. It takes decades of heavy playing to wear down nickel frets and if you own more than one guitar it'll probably never be an issue.
@@AWMJoeyjoejoeNickel alloy frets can lose their crown over the space of a couple of years of semi regular playing. Depends on the player. Asian mass production factories tend to use cheaper wire as well. My '91 Jackson Soloist Pro (Chushin Gakki factory) has really nice nickel silver frets that resist wear and corrosion pretty well, yet both my Ibanez (one regular 5 series Jap and the other from the Indonesian "Premium" series) have frets that suffer from what I consider premature wear and corrosion. Premium fretwire, such as Dunlop or Jescar is of decent hardness but of course costs more, so for the sake of marketing a company might as well go with stainless.
I had an old 90s Jackson Rhoades and I got rid of it because Jackson started making $300 Rhoades... When cheap guitars look just like yours, it's really off-putting.
Hunter, I'm with you in a few ways. I really dig that finish; I'm a true idiot for a good red sparkle. That body shape isn't for me, either. No, I'm not that much of a single cut guy. I grew up a Les Paul fanatic. I hated Vs because I thought they were uncomfortable. Now, at 42 I love them! The RR is probably my favorite. It was uncomfortable at first, but now I catch myself playing every guitar in Classical position. Because of playing Vs 😆
6:29 YESSSS One of my favorite riffs of all time 🤘🤘🔥 such an iconic satisfying riff. Through the Never doesn't get enough love especially that riff imo
I had a collection of about $20k worth of guitars and basses hanging on my walls that I had built-up starting with my first metal band in the 80s up until recently. I'm now 53, and recently accepted that I won't ever be a rockstar...lol. Always loved rhythm guitar (and was so influenced by Hetfield that I can really only play anything by downpicking), and am a huge Maiden fan. I love Steve Harris, and after seeing Cliff Burton live, I picked up my first bass. I generally wrote on guitar and played the bass. Anyway, I had several Jacksons, B.C. Rich 6 and 10 strings, Washburns, etc...some really expensive stuff. Out of all those fancy guitars my cheaper Washburn V, and my LTD bass played better than all of them. All I have now is that LTD bass and a Schecter guitar, and I really miss that Washburn. ESP and ESP LTD make some really wonderful guitars, esp. for metal musicians. I have one of the first F model or Tom Araya 4 strings ever made, and I will never part with it ( probably be buried with it). All I ever did was change out the pickups, and I used it at home and live. I've had many different basses (from Fender to Jackson), and the playability can't be beat. Big, big ESP fan.
My favorite guitar purchase of 2023 🤘🏼 I got it in the black sparkle since I have yet to find gold hardware that doesn’t lose some of the gold plated gloss. Becomes a lack luster choice in the long run imo 🎸
Both gold and nickel (including the black/cosmo varieties) plating wear at a pace. Only black paint (powder coated) and chrome plate have much wear resistance.
@@pauln6803. 😢 I guess I will remain hopeful because I bought an LTD KH-202 16 years ago and the powder coated licensed Floyd Rose is what makes me think it will stand the test of time because it still looks good, but not the little locking blocks on it. I got the Matt Heafy Epiphine sig in Bone White and that gold bridge started losing color on like the 5th time playing it so I’m just avoiding that annoyance 😅
A few years ago I switched to classical playing position and now I can’t go back. Maybe it’s all the Powertrip / Fugitive I’ve been listening to lately. A440 has also been my go-to recently as well. Something about writing heavy riffs in E just shows how creative you can be. (Edit: seeing Alexi Laiho at a workshop was why I tried in the first place)
I like Hunters riffs a lot and I also like Bob Ross’s paintings 🖼️ a lot as well. Thumbs up 👍🏻 for both guys for me. 🤔I do see what you mean comparison wise between the 2 haha! about how he can just effortlessly whip an impressive track together! Just like Bob did with his paintings. This demo turned out awesome! Seems like a great mix of old / new. I actually do think Metallica themselves would like it. “These happy little notes can live wherever you want ‘em in your world. Don’t be afraid to mix up a few colourful riffs and soaring solos that really move you because you can put them wherever you like , be bold. There are no mistakes in riffland just happy little accidents! “ 🤭 Speaking of Bob Ross , have you seen Jack Black do his Bob Ross bit ? ( it’s on UA-cam) Absolute comedy gold 🏆 so damn funny 🤣

Hey Hunter, please check the new 2024 Jacksons, they are amazing, especially the new RR's and there's one RR24 with 1 humbucker and floyd rose, which looks like the first Alexi Laiho Jackson RR24 guitar! It's made in Korea though and features Floyd Rose 1000 series which I'm curious about in terms of making it less qualitative kind of (because in that price range it would be better to use the FR Original one). And for the first time they use stainless steel frets on it and glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side markers which is nuts.
People do realize this V shape was not new nor based on Kirk's RR its is yes based off of the RR model but it was designed by Alexi Laiho hell the body shape is even listed as Alexi V in the custom shop order form . Now I will say these are nice looking model also I am not hating on kirk .
First guitar was a Dean VX and ever since then, I've loved the V shape. Very comfortable playing classical position and reaching the higher frets is never an issue. Only V I didn't like was a Rhoads because the offset felt odd to me. Idk if it was OCD or how it played sitting, but it didn't feel the same as a traditional V. Good video and nice riffs.
My only complaint is that out of 3 of them one should have come with a Floyd. I would have jumped on it instantly if it did. And I love me my pointy guitars.
Finish looks great. Think Scalloped fretboards would have too narrow an audience for all of them to come that way, but a sub model with the feature would be cool
