In this quick demo of the Gibson SG Supreme, pictured here in a lush Wine Red, Gibson Gear Guide host Dinesh Lekhraj runs us through the main specs and features you should care about on this guitar, including the Mahogany body, maple top, compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 frets and Super Split-Block MOP inlays, and THOSE incredible Burstbucker pickups. Watch as Dinesh shows us some of the drive tones that you can get from this guitar, and how it can offer some really beautiful classic rock, to blues style tones with just a hint of distortion.
Gibson is excited to announce the return of the SG™ Supreme. With a refreshed feature set, it is bound to overshadow everything else in sight and be one of the most exciting new releases of the year. The SG Supreme electric guitar, new for 2024 features a beautiful AAA-figured maple top (plain maple on the 3-pickup Gibson exclusive model) on a mahogany body. The mahogany neck has an ebony fretboard with a compound radius, 24 medium jumbo frets, and Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays so it’s super comfortable to play. You’ll notice that the headstock on the Gibson SG Supreme is adorned with a striking new mother-of-pearl "Chandelier Inlay" inspired by a design from the 1940s that was discovered in the Gibson archives. The Burstbucker™ Pro and Burstbucker Pro + pickups are paired with push/pull volume controls for coil tapping, along with individual tone controls (master tone control on the 3-pickup exclusive model) making it one of the most versatile electric guitars available. Each Gibson SG Supreme, including this one in Wine Red features gold hardware, making this a great-sounding and highly flexible instrument and an exceptionally beautiful-looking modern rock machine. A hardshell case is also included so your guitar is safe in transit and on the way to gigs!

A pearl ‘61 pick-guard would look sweet on this one.
That's beautiful
Gorgeous!!!!!!!!! 😍
Really liked this one. Went to the link to buy it. 3500 bucks??? Yall nuts 🤣
Gibson will throw it down a flight of stairs and charge you 4k for it. 😂
Thatll be 10k, thanks
Would you ever release a Flying V Standard with a Floyd Rose?
I jammed with Dinesh once in LA when he worked for Mesa Hollywood. We were at the house of this dude who cheated on his wife all the time and the wife was a municipal judge. Cool dude (Dinesh, not the cheater guy) - we traded solos over Beast of Burden.
To me, an SG has to have a pick guard. Doesnt mater witch one. And whats the difference between the burstbucker and the BB+ pickups?
The Plus pickup is wound hotter, that's all.
But you would prefer the Batman one if you had a choice of witch one it would be right.
Freudian slip. It also stands to reason that if you think the PickGuard is important then the larger one would be your favorite.
Strap Pin on the Horn a Gibson thing? Must be for this. It's better that way, even if you don't have neck dive with it at the base of the neck, with it on the horn the Guitar does not want to flop forward, which it does even on your lap with the original set up. It's too much work keeping the Guitar in position to play standing or sitting with the original Strap Pin position.
Gold hardware has almpst no durability. It only looks good new
It only it had anything other than gold hardware. 🥸
