Hi, Whats the difference between those? I am confused because they look identical and there is no comparison online. Are they the same guitar just branded by different brands?
The way you laid out all the features is well organized and easy to follow, well demonstrated and not complex. I love all the effects! Just ordered one. Thanks for a fabulous review of this sweet little sturdy and durable travel instrument. I have a Little Martin HPL acoustic, but this is probably going to be my grab and go. Very helpful.
@@kriztaxoxo it's likely that the one that's being demonstration is Nova Sp2, which has built-in amp. Where as according to my research Sp1 is completely acoustic guitar.
Finally!! What a great review of this guitar. I have seen so many videos of this instrument being reviewed by guys (mostly) that are trying to be so cool or critical that they completely overlook the features that you highlighted right at the beginning of your review. They don't even mention the fact that the guitar has inducers installed in the body that turn it into an amplifier for the electronic effects that requires no other equipment. They would leave one with the impression that this is just a Nova Go with an amplifier jack with a piezo pick up and some effects that can be pumped out to said amplifier. What good would that do a guy on a hike, sitting around a campfire in the woods? Who packs in an amplifier? Yours is a great, very well parced review!!!
Saw one "open box" on eBay for $179. Hmm, sounds like not much money for an experiment to remember how I was playing guitar in my much younger years! The Enya's approach to technology in a guitar when they only give a simplistic one button on a guitar itself and the rest is managed through a phone app makes much more sense to me when compared to much more expensive Lava ME guitar where they incorporated "iPhone" into guitar itself that is going to be prone to a quick obsolescence. Good demo! Convinced me to seriously consider this one for purchase.
I'm amazed at how good it sounds mic'ed! That stairway riff was gorgeous. But then on the line out all of the sparkle went away and the overall tone wasn't nearly as nice. Torn as to whether the SP1 is worth it or not.
Thank you for pointing out the features directly and not taking forever to do this video with so much nonsensical talk. You are the best and should do lessons as well. Have a great one thank you again.
Now Enya has just released a new - even smaller version called the Nova Go Mini. The body of Nova Go Mini is 1/4 sized (32 in"). Also has a truss rod. I HAD to order one because I love both the SP1 and acoustic versions. Mine arrives day after tomorrow.🙂🎸🎶

I ordered a Silver/Glitter. It arrived today but the electronics dis-connected inside. They bang around inside horribly when the guitar is moved. The guitar itself is the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen -I seen them all. I would just play it acoustic cause it sounds great and is plenty loud. I would not recommend the electric model- the way it's made- if something goes wrong, it can't be serviced. everything is sealed inside.

It really isn't a bad piece of kit to have around.
@@impulsivelymakingplays2113 The guitar is still great. I am actually on my second set of strings. D'Addario Custom Light (coated) strings seem to get along with this guitar quite well. I still take it out several times a week to play it. The only thing I wish was that the strings could be spaced a touch wider at the nut. Other than that, I am still having a lot of fun with it.
It is marginal for larger fingers (like I have). I can play it, but things get pretty crowded for me up near the nut for my big, clumsy fingers. They could (should?) have made the nut area just a touch wider.

Other than the crappy electronics the guitar plays very nice, I am going to take out the AI electronics in mine and fit a standard preamp.
Hey, 1. The action was good for an acoustic guitar, not super low but definitely not too high. 2. Just because of the smaller scale length, it is too small for me. Great for practicing when you are traveling, but for a gig I would prefer a standard size.
On mine the action was around 6mm at the 12th fret, I took mine down to a bit over 2mm and fitted lighter gauge strings, so much nicer to play, the neck also need some adjustment. Certainly not gig worthy, the electronics are just way to noisy, rather crappy in fact. They are a short scale so if you are not used to travel guitars they take some getting used to.
@@marksmusicCC yes I agree I would never gig with it. Can you tell me exactly what you did to bring the action down? @@StumblebumBand Honestly there is nothing to be afraid of, first check the neck, with the guitar tuned to pitch put a cappo on the first fret and hold down the string at the body 15th or 16th fret, there should be a gap of around 1mm between the string and the fret in the middle, if there is no gap then the trus rod needs to be backed off slightly, there are many video on trus rod adjustments, it is not as scary as you think. The action takes a bit more work, you need to work out how much you want to lower it, then take off strings and take out the bridge and sand down the bottom face until you have it where you want it, do not be scared of this, if you stuff it up it is only a few $ for another bridge, the tricky part is getting it nice and flat.
