Been looking for ages for good, clear, detaield tutorials for Final Cut. Have to say your presentations are the best i've found, anywhere.
Useful! Thank you!
You guys rule! As soon as i get a camera and instal Adobe premiere, i will apply these techniques on my films!
Good day for night tip. It makes sense, but that was something I had not considered before. Very easy and useful, thanks!
this was great :) haha i especially loved your subject's acting. In the rain he looked like "why are you doing this to me??" and in the 'night-shot' he looked like "I can't see!!"
Love the detail on the day-to-night effect. Thanks.
Very clearly extpained--and I found your explanation/demonstration ratio just perfect for a tutorial. Thank you.
I've tried out the rain effect some time ago, which looked really good and can say that overcast can give the best results for selling the effect.
The DFN wasn't what I was expecting. It looked like an early morning because of the visible bright sky. I know that some people shoot during sunny day and somewhere like you did, so that there would be some shadows that would look like casted by the moon. I noticed that night effect looks great when there's a feel of moon and dark or no visible sky.
Despite some of the comments, I found half of that to be very useful - cheers.
These are cool effects. Very clever.
Guy in the rain looked like he was there to stab someone
+protocultureBJJ rite xDDDDDD
Another great video Tom. Excellent stuff.
Pretty cool video with some awesome tips. Thank you!
Thanks for all the Help and Tips...
Thank you, some very nice tricks in there.
Hey awesome video Tom! I was looking at videos to develop my skills and I started this one and I said to myself "hey I know this guy"! ha
Great job I think i will use some of these techniques.
I feel that this is film school right here and you don't need to go to college for it lol
@TheStuartCarson
Well, that explains a lot! Thanks for not pointing and laughing. Oh, and I HAVE noticed their current videos look really fantastic.
@audionautix It's because they offer these same videos in hd on their website, its to encourage people to go there instead of their youtube.
Nice tip for the DFN trick.
this video is incredible
That DFN tip did it for me. ive been doing it in post and it just doesn't look right. Thanks so much
love ur tutorials, its really goin 2 help me do some kl stuff, n get on top in my class
This a great video and you know how to present.
I always wondered how those things were done and why mine methods didn't work.
Thanks for the enlightment !
@MusicF4 woooow this sick!!!! thanks a million.
I love ur videos bro... GOD BLESS YOU and ur team
for the speed up backround you just need a geen screen and speed up the backround in after effect !
+akram zichi fatass
Great, thank you for sharing this !
last one was really helpfull
thanks
Absolutely excellent tutorial !
@videomaker Thanks for answering. It really helped a lot.
I learnt something so thank you very much.
thank you very much this was very helpful
I have a simple cheapy Vado HD video camera but the tutorial here set my imagination going. for the DFN, maybe change the hue a little and darken the video clip in my editor. I dont plan on any heavy duty serious movie productions so for now that works for me. Thanks again for another great tutorial.
awesome video guys thank you
DFN, I have to try this!
thnks a million ur vids do teach me alot
Pretty good video
Very helpful. Thank you very much :)
This is great, but I think the fact that half of these vids are in 240, and this ones in 480, might sat something.
awesome tips.. thank you..
The same reason why other cameras take pictures differently than yours. Different sensors, lenses, filters all sorts, and the fact that yours might differ in resolution.
for the sped up background you could use chroma key and change lighting to match
That was cool.. Thanx
audionautix i agree with you, but if you wish you can get HD on their website (i think you have to pay though)
Great information
I like it
Which editing program were you using? Great video too!!! :)
@SupperKaate Dont blame Sony to go slow and the lag. I have used my Insignia HD 720P picket cam footage in it and had no isses. Also I have been messing with footage shot with my Canon HF100 R HD camcorder and have not had lagging issues. The lagging issues etc could be caused due to your computer. Also HD takes a lot of time to render.
umm well cc rain in after effects also looks quite good
I have a question about the dfn. If you were to be using a flashlight for the dfn scenes would it look like a flashlight beam still?. The character in my film usually has a flashlight. Thanks.
mate ,, whatd software do u use ???? that can cut n do everything n background mmm
is movie maker good ?
n which one guys do u use ?? whats the name?
Very helpful
The editing software is final cut express or final cut pro ( best) final cut express costs 200$ and final cut pro cost 1000$
yea but explanation can also be done in background
Good tips but I live in England so the only thing I really need to pull off a rain effect is to go outside...
In the DFN why not do the colour and exposure in post? Is there a good reason for doing it while recording?
do you guys help with overall production if needed
DFN, so trying it!
very good
i was wondering what camera you were using
Ok I have an idea about the sped up background. Couldnt you take footage of just the background, then take seperate footage of your actor infront of a green screen. Slow the footage of the actor and speed up the background footage, then chroma key them together?
Also keep in mind that the weather matches what kinda scene your going for
..
Sir i just wanna know what video editor do use?. Thank you.
Very good
I have nikon P 500..hich has got full HD video recording..but still the quality differs in other high end DSLR cameras..Why is it so..? I mean what is the difference in my full HD recording and other camera's fullHD recording ?
which software r u showing in the video for editing?
what video software do you use ?
Nice.
Video Maker eu usava muito o Vision laber tranquilo, só que agora em 2013 perdi meu HD cm ele, onde consigo baixar?, me ajuda? eu já tentei varias formas e não consigo download do programa
Alternatively, you can use the rain effect in Final Cut Pro!
jhiv3945 it's 2010 video haha
first rate
which program was used to make two videos together? and which program is best for cloning ?
Sony vegas pro 13. I use it for my videos.

Are you guys in chico, ca?
@oskarszaman i think its cinema 3d.
what's the video editor software?
guys which program edit like day for night and how to edit people flying on sky
plz
Adobe after effects. good luck :)
@Reels2010 So if they only showed you the effect then how would you know how to make it. What your saying is like if I'm a person who knows nothing about growing plants and you give me a apple and tell me to plant a tree of these. I wouldn't know how.
wats the name off the editor u use?
@MusicF4 but those are mainly how to make things... i want video making tricks to make it better etc
S these seems to be very simple and money saving (on softwares)..but I now feel like they are StoneAge techniques haha
Sped up background. Isn't it Speed?

Oh and btw 🖕🏼

For day for night you can key out a blue sky with chroma key and make it black.
but that won't make the foreground darker
oh yeah!
Tom skowronski umiesz mowic po polsku bo po twoim nazwisku wnioskuje że z pochodzenia jesteś polakiem? Do you speak Polish, Tom
I always thought they were called Special Effects ... lol
this beat in the beginning reminds me of when i first started making love to a whale
240 and 480 p I mean
you look handsome
@JetflashCruzA Ha ha, If you have a good chroma key program you can go to detonationfilmsDOTcom and they have excellent blood effects (Then you simply add Chroma Key.)
Rain doesn't drop in streams from the air. It falls chaotically in drops at random. That first effect is absolutely terrible, enough to make me switch off and not bother watching further.
