      Hi the gopro 7 is out now and I just purchased it. Would the settings be the same for the 7 as the 6? I will be using the gopro 7 in the Bahamas next weekend, I cant wait to use it.

      derty sanchez On the Hero 7 you can use 4k/60 as resolution and frame rate. It‘s perfectly stabilized! But check out first if your Pc can handle it!

    *decided to fork out 499 **do7.pl/GoPro6** and I have to admit, i'm obsessed with it. By no means am I a camera person, whereas I understand the jargon associated with these things. Whether it's 4K, 1089P, whatever... the mini LCD screen helps show what each setting can do, and many of them have a caption that tells you exactly what toggling this setting will do. If you want to catch life's moments, and not be that guy in the stands, or on the sidelines making everyone feel awkward... you need this camera.*

    Nice tutorial. This also works on me. It is true that image quality may suffer when ISO is increased to a higher value. When shooting around 8-10 meters, I use magenta filter on my SJCam SJ6 Legend and it works perfectly. The colors look natural and more vibrant.

    Of course, you deserves "A Like", since Ive used this setting for filming underwater alot, But only at 1440p, since that is what my screen resolution on the computer is.

    I've just bought my first gopro (6) and this tutorial is sooooo very helpful. I've a question, I'm diving to 40m, should my exposure be +1,2 (sunny day)?

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  6 років тому +2

      No, if the image is too dark, try to lower the frame rate or use additional lights

    • @baldiebroedc8875

      MountMedia Thanks for info. So I should set 2.7k at 30fps?

    • @DiveDiscover
      @DiveDiscover 6 років тому

      If you only want to film at 40m : yes. But I recommend you to set it to 2.7k/60fps. Clear water ?

      @@DiveDiscover clear blue + greenish water. Water vis about 10 to 15m

    I am going to switch between a red filter and using 2 JAUNT D40 lights. Research recommends doing a manual white balance to 5000K when using the lights. If using just a red filter, what white balance setting do you recommend?

    Love your content! I was wondering if you could discuss the use of a dome port in the gopro. I want to be able to take a dome port to do 50/50s with the gopro and use that same set-up to take the camera down to dive but understand that the fixed lens may make it difficult to focus with the virtual image particularly in close distances. Thank you :)

    Hi and thanks for your video :) I will use the Hero6 for the 1st time in December. I know...it's far in the future ;))) But I really struggling with the possibilities of the settings (resolution/stabilization). I think the best for me is 2.7k/60fps --> like you said. I heard you should not use the stabilization while scuba diving ?!? True ? I want to combine the underwater, land and drone (Karma) footage of my next vacation. Any advices for me ? Best greets to you and thumbs up for your video !

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  6 років тому

      I would not say that you should not use the stabilization when diving. It will just not work that good (because of low light). Best greets and good diving!

    what do you use to carry your gopro underwater? long stick? short stick? tray?

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  6 років тому +1

      It depends. Sometimes a hand grip but most of the times a selfie stick

    • @707bluedogs
      @707bluedogs 6 років тому

      MountMedia the longer selfie stick? Is that stable enough?

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  6 років тому

      I use mostly my Luxebell Selfie Stick, not always completely extended.

    • @707bluedogs
      @707bluedogs 6 років тому

      MountMedia ok thx. I thought I might get more stability with a tray. But maybe the stability of the 6 makes it ok with a stick?

    • @DiveDiscover
      @DiveDiscover 6 років тому

      I recommend you a 2-hand tray...

    I don't see what reason there is to do slow motion under water... I prefer to shoot at 4K with 30fps

    • @DiveDiscover
      @DiveDiscover 6 років тому

      With 60fps you can do slow-motion in post so your footage looks smoother...

      Never had something happen fast? I do slow Mo for cuttlefish hunting and once got a shot of a shark grabbing an octopus.

  • @CharbelSalemSLA
    @CharbelSalemSLA 5 років тому

    You need to explore color settings (ie white balance). Your footage is bland.
