Hey can you tell me all your settings you have on your GoPro 11 to make everything I shoot look like this please! . I seen the UA-cam video link you sent but I can’t speak the language (only English) if you can can you comment every settings you use to make my GoPro hero 11 look like this whole shooting please!
I disagred with framerate. For underwater you always should use 60-120 frames, because some ecnoutners are very short and this way you can slow the video (make longer).
The white balance on Auto? This turned the water from blue to green very often. When i filmed a few meter from the coral it was perfect, but when i filmed my friend, the water and everything turned greenish. Witch was very annoying. I tried this setting a few hour ago here in Mozambique Africa.
Great video. Very helpful even though I'm only trying to film what I want to see in rock pools. (I don't get in the water, just use a selfie pole & film upsidedown) definitely gonna apply your tips for next time.
How about overheating? I’ve heard the camera can overheat and will shut off if used at max settings (5.3k and 60 FPS). What setting should I use to best avoid this happening underwater (I have an upcoming scuba diving trip).
Hi. Thx for sharing your expertise. Your tips will help most of us for sure. Having a Gopro11 and an Insta360 X3..I was wondering if you did ever use your X3 for Underwater pics and vids. I am aware those 360 cam's were not known for their waterproof perf..Personaly I did purchase a dive house for my X3 even normally that one is announced waterproof until 10 meters. So as some video suggestion/idea for you, some tips to relate what we can do or not and optimize for an insta360 x3 cam. Actually underwater world and 360 cam's topic is rarely done so.. 😉 Thx
In 9:07 and 0:01 and 0:03 what were you using natural or vibrant or flat color and what sharpness were you using low or high or medium and why low is the best
Color natural - sharpness low: if the sharpness is not set to low the camera artificially adds contrast to the edges - creates a very digital look. If the shot looks too soft for you, you can still add some sharpness in post
New subcriber here - clear, direct video...much appreciated. I am newbee and have not purchased a Go Pro before. Go Pro 10 is in my sights but so is the upcoming release announcment in Sep 22' Would you wait for the GP 11? Also, do you have a video on live stream and motion detection?
Hi Tim, thx and yes I would probably wait - not because I think there will be any groundbreaking innovations - but the price of the h10 will certainly drop again.
As a diver what we use for not having a foggy mask is to just put some drop of dish soap in the mask, slide it arround with your finger, and then rince it off, works like a charm every time. In alternative, just spit on it and do the same steps :D Anyways, Amazing video. Clear, full of the info needed without blabering random usless stuff to make it longer :D
Perhaps help with my challenge: Helping Wildlife Biologist researching return of underwater grass - eel grass aka ribbon grass aka + - in large heavy tannic acid reddish brown to black tinted waters. "Exclusion cages" protect grass from "grazers" (it works!). Now trying to document what fish/turtles/crab/etc are eating the grass. Cameras mounted on edges of cages like trail cams - no 'triggering by animal presence' so left to run with hope to video 'grazers'. Water depth: .5 - 1.5 meter / 2-5feet depth; Dark water; changing light direction as sun travels/clouds move; (Santa provided a GoPro MAX .. is this the best GoPro camera for such environs?)
Yes red filters are always an advantage - how are you getting on with the fixed WB? After all, the lighting conditions underwater change depending on the incidence of light and depth.
Do NOT use red filters if u going to dive to 30m, it will ruin quality a lot. I struggled on Maldives diving-safari, cuz every dive has different light and visible conditions. There were much more easy to edit videos, shooted w/o red filter. I used 1600 max iso, may be i shood go for 600 or 800 and low sharpness. Anyways...videos from 30m with low light looks like shit and very hard to edit. Use flashlight 🔦🔦🔦!!!))
I am from India, Please make a video for Gopro display off issue ...my Gopro 8 caught in to display off issue... No service centre in India for this.. Can you help me?
i used go pro hero 9 and 10 @ 4k 60fps in all our dives. its awesome to have it in native because you have the total control in post
Me too, but I have the hero 6 black.

but in low light the high frame rate is a problem, no?
@@henriquefc14 I don't have a problem with it.
@@iamlucacawesome thanks Luca, just got my first GoPro. I plan on filming lots of fishing things
He said under water he prefers 60. But then chose the 50 cuz I guess that's similar to usa 60
I just got my Hero10 and definitely trying this settings! Thanks!

From reading only ... water will act like heat sink reducing concerns ..
Also try not to use max settings for a long time.
Always very informative videos and easy to understand .. great channel, deserves more growth .. follower from India

Thank you for this info! I do need suggestion on a go pro set up for my up coming Hawaii Manta night dive. How Do I message you? Thank you!! ❤
Gopro hero 12, hdr on only if enough light i guess? (my case less than 8ft deep + good sunshine)?
Have you used a go pro hero 11 underwater without a case? I just got a hero 11 and was wondering.
Yes, absolutely - the only important thing is that you clean it carefully with water after using it in salt water
Does hero 10 record sound while using waterproof housing case?
Yes, you can even hear the parrot fish nibbling on pieces of coral…
with hero 11 is it sense to use red filters or better do it in post ?
No it will help to get better colors!
Great. I’ll check it deep down 160 ft
Hello have you the settings for go pro hero 9 black for underwater diving . It won't let me select both 5k & 60fps only 5k 30fps . Or 4k 60fps/30fps
thanks! make sure to get all of your hair out of the seal between your face and the mask, you'll notice less fogging in your mask 👌
Thx Zach!

How do you get to this menu?
Sir..May i ask something..if I will use go pro 10 under water,it is okay that I will not use go pro case?
Yes - up to 10 m
How can I save my footage and datas from my sd card to a disk without a computer?
With Programm do you use for you Videos
FCPX
What free editing software do you recommend for underwater footage ??
DaVinci Resolve
@@MountMediaChannel ya I tried using it once, but found difficult to use maybe just need try again
BESTTT!!!
Not a bad video

Are this settings same for HERO 9
4K/60 for the Hero 9
What about red filters? I use white 5000k , iso Max 800, 4k60fps. Shutter on auto.
Yes red filters are always an advantage - how are you getting on with the fixed WB? After all, the lighting conditions underwater change depending on the incidence of light and depth.
@@MountMediaChannel I don’t snorkel so deep, at the moment I have zero issues. Soleil filter for pictures and Vegas for videos. Nothing else 😅

I looked on amazon and it costed 309 dollars. its was too expensive
Best Buy has hero 10 for 230, just picked one up today for a trip coming up
You have no clue about diving settings if you set WB to auto... and without taking about red filters and losing the wavelength underwater
of course my GoPro doesn't have the same options. GoPro is a joke. Terrible product.
