  • I hesitate to post this, it's perhaps a little fringe with regard to driving in Italy. And long, and you only see very much of the motorcycles we follow at the beginning. We keep back a good distance from a group of 5 Italian friends who own "cruiser style" motorcycles.
What might be useful is to see some country roads, and the sort of recreational cycling and motorcycling Italians do on the weekends. It's focused on the road ahead, behind the group.
My commentary is mostly rambling, though I do try to mention a legitimate tip or observation about driving in Italy on occasion. This one is focused primarily on motorcycling. There are three main types of recreational motorcycling and motorcycles: cruisers, track bikes, and enduro/motocross bikes. This video follows some cruisers, typically they go slow and enjoy the ride that way. Riders of track bikes (think Ducati) push the speed envelope more, and will pass you in a heartbeat. The enduro/motocross rider is seen on occasion, and if they are in an event, can get quite impatient, and throw mud!
