I should note. The motor angles worked out to be about 14mm down and 10mm of right thrust measured at the end of the motor shaft (for the RCGF Stinger 35cc SE).
I've been waiting to see this one. Went together nicely I see, not to challenging. That windshield had me cracking up 17:12 , lol I look forward to the maiden flight , Thanks Fitz.🛩
The springy canopy is a GOOD thing. A little tension keeps screws in place, it hugs the airframe, and springy plastic is durable. You make the best RC videos on the net.
I've been wanting a Savage Bobber ever since I first saw it many years ago. Nobody had made kits, ARFs, or any other forms except for ZLIN on their website, at limited quantities. How i had started my kit was that I had decided on a size that I had wanted and hand drawn up plans using pictures and plans for a Cub as reference. Once the drawings were done I had bought the raw materials like balsa, CF rods and plywood and began to prepare for assembly. Unfortunately I had gone through some life changing events (divorce and relocation) that had put my projects on the back burner. Now that things have settled down and my life have become the new normal I need to resume my build. But, when I had discovered that Dancing Wings hobby had a one meter kit I had immediately placed my order one one. Unfortunately I had nothing but issues with the electronics, both from the kit and aftermarket because the factories were producing parts with poor QC. So my DW Bobber has also been put on the back burner. I have so many projects that are either nearly complete, partially finished, or are still in raw form that my to do list is growing. It doesn't help any that I had bought a brand new motorcycle back in August either. Now that the cold weather is settling in here in northeast Utah I can start focusing on my indoor projects. Anyway, I've already said too much, so with that, thank you for another awesome video. Now I'm wanting this Savage Bobber! But it'll have to wait until I can get some other projects finished, like my 1:4-3/4 scale Phoenix Models Westland Lysander, which is only needing electronics and a motor to finish.
I see a DW logo on the tire and the manual looks just like other Dancing Wings planes I have. I'd bet a bar night this is a Dancing Wings planes with someone elses name slapped on it. MotionRC also sells some Dancing Wings stuff with their Skynetic logo slapped on.
My best compliments. Simply Stellar! This is one of the best and most honest build videos I’ve ever seen. Now I must add this beauty to my fleet. Thanks again.
It looks fantastic! i wonder if the tires could be made more realistic by example making a soft squeezed baloon style tire. i would like to have this plane some day!
This model definitely has caught our eye...hopefully they publish the wing area soon. It's blank on the product page. Curious as to the wing loading at the published weight. Only bummer we're seeing so far is the plain as opposed to scale slotted flaps and the big struts potentially being a pain in transport. Looking forward to seeing your flight video!
I like this plane a lot. But right now, it's out of my $$$ range. Just retired, I have to watch pennies for now maybe someday. You do great build videos. 👍👍👊👊😊😊
This will be my next plane right after I finish my 1/3 spacewalker, 1/3 Fokker d7, 1/3 pup, Nosen 310 and my Lazy Ace. Just hope they're still making it then
Hey Fitz, always love watching your videos! How do you feel about kits that require so much manual intervention when it comes to needing to modify certain things (like the dashboard) or drilling out larger holes etc. Do you consider that a fun part of the experience or do chalk it up to poor manufacturing etc?
I'm personally not too bothered about it, but I can see how some are. Hopefully by pointing these things out, manufacturers can pay a little more attention to details or at least modelers can see that these issues can be easily overcome in assembly.
Hi i really would like this plane, but legend hobby can't ship to the UK and i cant find any stockist in Europe still great looking beast look forward to the maiden Fitz
Great review, I'm still looking for the flight video. Nice plane but it would be very hard for me to justify the $899 price tag. $599 maybe. I'll keep looking for that flight video. Keep up the good work 👏
Awesome, great video, thank you, sir. And the windshield part, I know you were struggling and annoyed, but dang, it was hilarious. 😂🤣 Thank you for another great video
It's not a stripped down Piper Cub or KitFox, it's a Airbike replica. Not sure if it requires the same license (the real one) or maybe it's considered an untralight.
Cool looking but very overpriced ARF, and they charge another $100 for the optional leather luggage. With the fuse exposed it makes hiding all the guts difficult.
information. 1:18 D-tube is NOT used with Wood construction. 2:04 metal tail boom.?!?! 5:57 a wing is Supposed to have a LOAD-BEARING main spar, Located at THIRTY percent of chord.!!! the mass of wing-located servos is NOT optimally located. whynhel stoopidly use a rudder cable linkage, while also stoopidly putting a servo at the tail.!? manufacturers do some STOOPID things.!!! googletranslate
What is your relationship with Legend Hobby? I didn't see or read any disclosure anywhere. Feel free to delete this comment, but without a disclosure, your objectivity will be questioned. Given that about 75% of your channel is a Legend Hobby showcase, it would be wise to at least add a boilerplate saying that you are being paid by, or otherwise involved financially with, Legend Hobby.

That IS Savage buddy

Love your work Fitz. Pls keep them coming. Good luck on the maiden.
Fitz, you are like the Bob Ross of RC planes. Put a hole in the wrong place? "That's a happy little accident".
Love your content.

I measured the wings. Wing area is approximately 1,454 sq. inches.
@@HobbyView Thanks! Definitely up there...will be curious to see your flight for sure!
Sweet looking plane can't wait to see you fly it, love your videos
That “spring loaded canopy” was a crack up. Interesting plane and great video!
Great job. Can't wait to see you fly it.
As always, great build with excellent tips! Thanks Fitz!

this channel is so underrated, you really deserve more subs
Thanks. Tell all your friends!
@@HobbyView I will! and I subbed, that goes without saying
This was a great build very enjoyable to watch ❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Anxiously awaiting the flight video. Since watching this i have purchased one. Will be building it electric.
I thought I was the only one that made mistakes. I don't feel so bad. Thanks for sharing!
I really do like your videos, you get into the nuts and bolts of the build for sure.
Excellent presentation. In view of the unusual fuselage construction, some sub-assembly and finished weights would have been interesting.
Fritz as usual Clear Video and audio... Great Thanks Mike in New Jersey...
this is an amazingly well done arf
Excellent work. Interesting model.
Love your articles, sir!
I love the function panel controls!

Just discovered your channel today! Amazing video & building work my friend! Thanks!
Awesome, great video, thank you, sir. And the windshield part, I know you were struggling and annoyed, but dang, it was hilarious. 😂🤣 Thank you for another great video
Hi. How come no flight video yet? I've been waiting for it.
Nice job 👌 I think I would've found a better way to mount the seats instead of using tie traps 🤔 They did work though 🤷 hehe
Pull Pull Tip: ALWAYS loop the cable through the keeper prior to crimping. Trust me here :)
I usually do, the wire in this model was a bit too thick to do that easily. Fortunately it's only on the rudder.
HI Fitz, did you fly this plane? Any videos? Great work on this one!
Great video! It would be interesting to watch other planes being assembled
Good build video but where is the maiden flight video!
Lovely plane, and great video!

Is their anywhere I can get one of these in the UK??
like your video, love aircraft.liked the wrong place dummy, I have done that a few times myself.
Flight experiences? Thanks!
6 months. No flight video yet?
Hi, wheres part 2
Did you ever maiden this plane? I do not see the video.
Working on the flight video now.
Nice job 👏🏼
Have you thought about covering the exposed airframe for a different look ,and adding a Pilot ?
I think all Planes need a Pilot.
Covering the fuselage would remove some of the uniqueness of the model, but I agree that it could use a pilot figure.
Nobody noticing that you put the blue loctite on the outside of the nut and bolt after you tightened it 😂
Well done... Thanks
Is the airframe aluminium or steel... Sounds like steel when you tapped it
I was told it is steel.
@@HobbyView is it possible for you to tell me the tubing diameter.... Thank you
I can't seem to find part 2?
Probably still in production phase 😉
Nice Job 👍👍
Where is this model made??? Too expensive for me at $900 just for the kit.
Any word on the flight review?
Heyho, isn't there a flying video?
Good video
excellent!
for $900 it needs inflatable tundra tires
Do you have to pay extra to get the seats and saddle bag? It looks that way from the web site... an extra $100!!!
Yes, the seats and saddle bags are extra. Sorry i didn't make that clear.
The original kit from pichler is inclusive seats en bags. I believe legend hobby takes those things out, to sell them as extra item.
Cool looking but very overpriced ARF, and they charge another $100 for the optional leather luggage. With the fuse exposed it makes hiding all the guts difficult.
9:42 Boba Tea Straws.
thank's lot
What is the cost of savage bobber I would like to bye one where can I get one
Savage build video.
I see what you did there...
😀😀😀😀😀
Truss me?

Olá! Onde consigo comprar esse kit ??,
Olá como eu compro um modelo desse ?
many Things on this Plane are not so good for flying. There is a Crash programmed.
