- Holy Priest has had a talent revamp in Patch 10.2.6 producing some interesting gameplay changes for Raid and Mythic+. In this video we go over those changes, how they impact your talent choices and your gameplay in both gameplay modes for Season 3!

Holy priest player here currently doing around the 25-26 key range. I’ve had a lot of fun trying some new builds this week. I wanted to say, I’ve been running a circle of healing build in m+ and for fights with a lot of group damage, ( and just high group damage because of pugs in general), those max stack circles are hitting for almost the same as a sanctify. It was a decent change for our lack of aoe healing but still feels like we need a little something more. Idk, I’d love to hear some other thoughts and builds that people are running.
If you would play disc you would be good at the game and be doing 30s

I changed from disc to holy for m+ this week and I am friggin loving it, especially in pugs. I just feel so insanely powerful and whilst my hps numbers are lower on average it feels like people are less likely to die plus my dps is bigger.

Is possible drop voice of harmony+divine word for light of the narru+lightweaver for m+? Bcs I dont care about dps in my low rio keys that much. Just wanna be able comf heal everybody. And I am super used to play lightweaver.
What would you say to binding DW to your holy word spells and just using them like that? Whichever one is cast when the CD is up gets the buff? Or should I be planning it better? You using it mainly just on sanctify?
Nah definitely not. Much better in raids to use it on sanctify and in m+ it’s more situational

me and my priest griefer friend will be very sad. (we found a way to make the rogue face-pull a boss while they were stealthed) so life gripping hearthstones was 100% something we did
Step one.
They should put mythic Queing inside lfg. (Like you no longer make a premade and travel there. You make a group. And Que for it, only)
And step two, actually ban you from all LFG for 30 days if you leave a key.
I dont know how many times i have been threatened to be kicked for life grip/swapblaster shenanigans (they followed through a few times)
Interesting to drop Revitalizing Prayers for Gale of Songs. Divine Hymn even in longer fights where I can get 2 casts off does so little of my overall HPS. Is there any way to tell in the logs how many Renews are applied from Revitalizing Prayers? I guess it doesn't proc as much as I thought it would. I know sometimes I don't need to cast Prayer of Healing all that much, especially since the season 3 set bonuses have free Holy Words popping off very frequently and Epiphany becoming a meta talent.
Can run an average based off how many casts of poh, how many ticks of renew per second and get healing from that. But yeah you get plenty of renews from benediction and tier set and amp’ing all raid healing is really good for progress
How do you handle the spirits on heroic Fyrakk? I struggle to target them or aoe heal them quick
I just hit sanctifies into them. Add a focus frame into vuhdo to cast a couple pohs

Thanks for your tips as always. Regarding Seedling: This trinket has confused me for a while now. If I understand correctly, after a certain threshold all it does is redistribute the single target healing as a group heal and not actually increase it anymore, right? I usually just dump a Serenity and maybe a few FHs into it and be done with it. Is it actually beneficial to continue healing it after that? I feel like the numbers in logs are inflated because of that.
Pretty sure it amps it's up to a certain point, but will continue distributing your single target heals as group heals for it's total duration. It's incredibly effective for holy priest in m+ during group damage events (such as high bursting stacks 😉)
It's really good at avoiding heal sniping from other healers, because it not only splits your heals up into 5 smaller portions, but also is smart healing. Also, if you properly cast Guardian Spirit on it, it's still going to provide a heal bonus until it ends.
Anyway, it doesn't inflate your healing because the healing you deal directly to the seedling is automatically deducted from logs, so it's not like it double counts healing seedling + healing raid.

I’m between Resto Sham and Disc Priest, but I feel like playing Priest gives you 2 healing specs right there haha
feels like i now barely cast heal without talent to decrease it is cast time, too bad bcs we put that talent which increases heal based on our mana

You bet! Oh there's also an FAQ on the exports page which answers most questions and I write the guides for Wowhead for Holy and Disc and in those guides is a macro page which has a couple decently important macros to get.

It was but it was unneeded. They are already at the bottom
You take the talent about divine hymn and restitution so when you become the spirit of redemption you can cast resurrection on a dead party member and in doing so you'll come back to life as well as them. It's a battle rez that doesn't count as a battle rez. So lets say your in a raid, out of battle rezes and one of the tanks dies. Instead of letting everyone wipe for a reset you can step up and save the raid
I guess I am an old school healer, I just can't seem to get the hang of doing damage as a healer. If I want to contribute damage to a fight I bring a dps. I just don't get why, except for the mana return, healer are suppose to contribute big damage in fights. Isn't that what dps is for?
No one plays the game for fun anymore. They all play for DMG meter
its not that deep or complicated, its just about efficiency, if you're a healer and your team is not getting damaged so they don't need you to heal, you just do damage instead because it is better than doing nothing. Healer's damage is not a necessity at all up until a point where your m+ keys are being depleted or a raid boss doesn't die for a couple of seconds you could have shaved it off by pressing 2 more buttons when you weren't needed to heal
@@luisibarra7656 Bro, you completely missed the point, we are questioning *why* the design of healers should be more about dpsing rather than healing, and not *how* to actually play healers in current content.
@@cat-vv9xbit’s not more about dpsing. I do 24’s and 5’s without dpsing unless that DPS spell gives me HPS which at that point it’s being used as a heal.
Healers having to DPS all the time is a community perception issue more than an actual issue. You feel peer pressured. That is all.

and a little advice when u want a details dmgdealer race maybe play a DD
You dont have to deal dmg while healing, not even in high keys this season since timers are forgiving. Also question for you, what do you do when there is no healing to be done? Are u one of those healers that stand afk and wait for dmg or?

Dear Jak, I can't even really get to the "damage" part of this build. I do my thang with the holy fire, chastise, holy fire, holy fire.. DEAD. Everbloom stunk.. my first untimed keys in the 20's.. the bursting is hard to keep up with.. maybe it's all the dk tanks that don't self heal? My "best friend" won't talk to me because he died three times in his 19.. ( which we timed!) lol.. WON"T TALK TO ME!? I don't feel as powerful at all. I can definitely tell there's a major reduction in healing. If I'm not running with epically skilled groups who love priests, understand that we die.. and don't scream or quit when I do so.. I might learn how to do exactly what I didn't go back to Disc for.. and deal monstrous damage. I'd like to deal monster heals. Heals.. healssss.. I can't get to the heals for trying to do the damage on my new holy priest damage dealer. Sniffle.. without any aoe heals. It sounds silly to say it out loud. I had a tank lay on the floor dead.. during Everbloom right before last boss.. because I released to come back and heal them through trash they can't control with burst. The boss fights are great.. the trash mobs before and after are all of the sudden eating meh. Wah wah wah.. I'm no doomer.. I'm asking how I can fill out the rest .. and in bg it feels bad also... at least there I get to enjoy the damage.. but no more massive boosts to a battle with hymn because I can't afford it. Is there a way to work in something for bursting and or mass healing? Please help meh.. my wing es brokeen. Take a breath while zooming through.. I choked for you mon ami
The proposed changes to PI really have turned me off to priest entirely, I can’t support the class with how they’re treating us and our PI spell
They’re reworking the pi hero talent btw. We don’t know what they’re doing instead yet
They should give pirest kick it will be needed in high keys
Not really. Disc is one of the highest m+ healers right now
@@erichall090909 I know but overall kick is usefull in m+ for example as a shaman you can interrupt 29 30 cast in waycrest manor

Blizzard is delusional and the only time they ever change anything is if some geek 10 year glad pvper does well with it in their boring tournaments. In solo shuffles/2v2 I've faced a disc priest EVERY OTHER GAME since the start of the season, while I've maybe faced 30 other Hpriest all season? Makes no sense we get nerfs

Why not rework priest for the 20th time while frost dk and shamans need some serious attention.
Healers probably have different teams working on them compared to tanks and dps.
Priests are a joke in m+. Disc can't spot heal, holy can't aoe heal. Great class design :D I hope they fixed some of it during this rework.
What are you on about? Priest is fine, learn to play. Disc spot healing requires you doing damage fyi. And not mindlessly mashing buttons.
I hate it when people say disc can’t spot heal! They can if played right, flash heal, shield, renew, penance and damage can all spot heal someone
Still won't get picked for keys in season 4 lmao I ce a priest in bfa and ever since then they piss in priests mouth and call it water. None of this will stick bc of meta balance and priest has no group answer for dmg spikes like monk druid shaman pally etc. Junk will always be junk bc it still even with these changes won't be able to handle hard encounters. Dumptsered before u can try to save.

I doubt you’re doing anything higher than 27s so you’re fine to play priest my friend. It’s still good

That’s a load of crap I get instantly accepted to keys as disc. 25s and two 26s.
