Compared to S2 and S3, I’d forgotten how PUG unfriendly some of the coordination of the S1 fights are until I started doing them this week. The difference between a coordinated group and PUG feels even bigger.
Yeah, a lot of the positioning heavy fights like Kokia and Kyrakka are night and day in a PUG group vs coordinated group for sure.
I’ve pugged 2k first week easy as farming 10s for the last day or two just need good players. Rather wait 20mins to find the right players
@@godlike69r Because always on 1st week of season top player are doing hig keys, after 1 week everything changess
100% agree first week I was lucky to get invited to +2 took me hours, had no issues last season.
I absolutely love this, and find it SO helpful! This would be SO helpful to have for all bosses basically, but can imagine the work you have to put in for that. Great job, and thanks again!
Glad you found it useful! I do have shorter breakdowns for every boss in my refresher guide videos for each dungeon, and its kind of tough to do something this indepth for every boss just because a lot of them don't have much to them honestly hahaha. That being said I do have part 2 of this video coming out tomorrow with 5 more bosses covered!

Thanks for the helpful video. I'd love to see a video of ALL bosses, with just 30 secs per boss briefly explaining the main mechanics.
No problem! I do kind of have that in my refresher guide series for each dungeon, just wanted to zoom in on some harder bosses in these videos and actually give detailed strategy tips as opposed to just the same quick note I do in my other videos.

Nice compilation. To be honest, I’ve the most problems in PUGs with Deios. Easy as tank, but the rest of the group struggle.

Yeah it's a pretty interesting mechanic!
Something to note (at least in my experience). When fiery focus goes out in the Chargath fight and he charges the tank, he will not brake chains with the charge.
Could be a hitbox related thing since he has such a small spot where it triggers the chain break, but I've definitely seen it happen!
There’s a ton you can spell reflect. Prot warrior is a low key boss tank. People like DHs and pallies because they can play the game for the group.
Yeah Pwar are definitely an underrated tank atm, super safe in AV because of spell reflect and then can also pump huge damage in Nokhud because of it as well.
You can FD on Dragon Strike!
Boss still jumps on you but no damage or DoT.
Now, lets just hope Blizz won't break that for poor Hunters as they always tend to do... 🤞🤞
Love your videos man. I’ve been having trouble when I bring the last boss of AV to the edge wall melee in the group are having a hard time getting the crystals up on the wall ledges. Any suggestions?
Hmm its hard to say, it could be either you aren't quite close enough to the wall or it could just be bad luck. Something you can do is almost "parallel park" the boss, similar to the strat used on Xavius if you played back in S3, where you can drag the boss horizontally along the wall to try and get him closer to it to cut off more of those spawns, but even then sometimes you'll still get a crystal spawned up on the wall and there's not much more you can do about it.
@@Tactyks yeah I’ve been parking the boss just like Xavius parallel to the wall but sometimes I’ve been seeing some crystals super high on the wall and melee has a super difficult time getting to it because the wall is has different angels to climb it. Oh well if any new tech comes out please keep us posted. Thanks for all you do once again.
for umbrelskul, the team has to be aware of the spell queueing. if the shielded crystal overlapped with the unleased destruction aoe, your healer is gonna cry and it is very likely a wipe.
We've found another cheesy strat for chargath (1st boss of this video), as a brewmaster monk I can just go up to one of those platforms up the stairs when he fixates and jumps me and roll into the middle after that. Dps manage the chains anyway. If needed, i can still transfer 😏

Azure Vault is so easy now, first boss is probably hardest thing in dungeon now.
Having 2 extra minutes on the timer this season definitely makes it a lot more forgiving!
1:10 You can fd, so probably melt/invis/vanish it too.

What’s the addon called showing boss mechanics next to the party frames with the red timer bars?
That would be Littlewigs, though if you prefer Deadly Boss Mods it does something similar!
Maybe I am a little late on explanation but what is the addon to track encounters abilities? The one next to your party frames
Either DBM deadly boss mode or bigwig /little wigs

For chargath, is it still the same as it was originally? Break a chain, wait for dot to drop, break a chain, wait for dot to drop and break a chain? Or just run and break em' fast as possible?
It's a little different as now the tank is taking very high damage during the fixate phase, so while you can do 1-1-1 for chain breaks it can sometimes be better to do a double break with defensives/healing CDs to get out of the phase quicker!
What add on/weak aura gives you the boss cd tracking?

As a healer, leymor is just such a pain in my butt when pugging. I've been just using my life cocoon only on the tank because it's absurd how many tanks just do not manage defensive CDs. I'm hoping it's only a week 1 issue...
Umbrelskul is ok if the hardened crystal is focused. Tanking him right in the wall though makes the orbs sorta clump under umbrelskul and can make the crystal inaccessible to melee. Since the crystals all spawn next to the boss now, it's so much easier to tank him closer to the middle
On the first boss what i found the easiest way to do it on my DH is just letting the others do it. The boss moves so incredible slow that it doesn't seem to be worth doing it as a tank if you have to be close to the boss to be able to keep yourself up.
I’m surprised the ancient (1st boss) from algathar wasn’t in here I feel like the add phase in that fight might be the hardest fight out of all the keys.

Raging tempest I couldn't get more than 3 stacks as a healer. The dps ran all over the place picking everything up, even at 10 stacks. Thanks... :p
Yeah a lot of DPS players see a damage amp and just tunnel vision in my experience hahaha

I’m a bit of a wow noob if I’m being honest, but I’m trying. Where can I get the weak aura that you have that keeps track of enemy abilities with the timer?

Just dont feign death/meld the spear toss with chains, i did that and he bugs and stays in the damage amp phase lol
9:32 I always worry about resetting the boss, you would have to go really far one way to do this right?
I believe the entire ring is good boss area, though I've never gotten as far as the opposite midpoint so it's possible she resets around there. Otherwise the only way to reset her is to run down the stairs where you fly up from the first boss.

I'm not sure how tanks get shredded by chargath. I play bear, and my health doesn't really move. I notice my healers have a much harder time healing through the debuff on the rest of the group. Good video though.
I think a lot of people just didn't expect it since that's not how the mechanic used to work back in S2. Also it did catch a 25% nerf since the release of this video so that probably helps as well hahaha.
I feel like Halls of Infusion ice boss is the hardest to heal this season. Especially when dps are using that potion that lowers their health every 30s on top of the constant aoe dmg on the group. Only way I've made it through so far is with pally buff and lust.
I am experiencing this as the hardest to heal boss as well. As a mistweaver monk (fistweaving build).
The constant ticking damage leaves no room or time whenever someone doesn't need heal and my usual rotation which is fine for almost every boss without their damage spikes where I use cd's. This is at 490 ilvl in a +7 for reference.

Yep, one of the few small changes they've made to some of the bosses that has a big impact for people who expected them to behave how they did before!

I feel like Teela and Maruuk is harder than every boss in the video. But I think this is a personal issue for me as a tank.

Sentinel Talondras has been the biggest pain in my ass all expansion. I get its simple mechanics but the bleed + stomp does way too much dmg.
Probably because people are stunning him way more often than needed - he gets stronger every time he's stunned. Are you the healer yourself? It gets easier heal-wise once healers are more geared and get utility trinkets
It's defintely a tough boss, really makes a difference having an evoker or a bunch of dwarves to bleed cleanse!
Your videos are always very informative and helpful, but you talk pretty slow and pause a lot (for me). I'd recommend watching on 1.5x speed for anyone else out there.
Glad I could help! I mostly try and purposely talk a little slower than I normally do just so I can be easily understood, as like you said if people want faster they can easily adjust speed but making the speed slower kind of distorts audio a bit and doesnt help as much.

horrible guide, very misleading and almost gives opposite information
