Our boy has thumbnail game better than the rest. Thanks for the guide!
This video (and upping my ilvl quite a bit) literally doubled my HPS.
I came into VotI having never played healer and wanting to try Disc in Season 4. I was absolute garbage the whole week and had sworn off Priest and healing in general.
Watched this video.
Put on my big boy pants.
Absolutely crushed AtSC.
Was I top of the charts? No. But my healing was so much better than it was the previous week.
Thanks for the rundown, Jak!
So glad to hear it!
Today I learned I should read my abilities cause I didn't realize that Radiance is a targeted spell and then the range of 30 yards occurs ha ha. No wonder that boomkin never gets atonement 😅
Was salty the holy guide came out first 😭 LETS GOOOOOOOO
i was legit looking for a video like this last night and now here it is
I've decided to play as disc in 11.0 switched from tanking. Now im training myself on season 4, this was the best guide ive found lately. Thanks for it.
Jak -- I am LOVING your video preview images -- stepping UP the awesomeness!!!! :)
Thanks so much!
Thumbnails are on point btw!
thank you :)
muchas gracias por el video.
holy super soon!
Amazing video as always. I am wondering if you plan to do similar guides for other classes too :) really apreciate the effort you put into these
Just these for now but maybe more in the future!
In a pugging environment i found healing was intense and i swapped to uppies for that time when mind bender was on CD and used it to great affect
Great guide, but how did you get Zack Oyama to pose for your thumbnail?
God, I'm struggling to pick between disc and holy this season. I've been running some +14's this reset, barely timing on disc and its just so stressful compared to holy especially this fort week. but also so satisfying to pull off, so many people in pugs telling me to play holy. Do you think early into season one is better than the other? I feel like holy's a bit ahead early in the season over disc with current gear idk. Maybe placebo
Is Ultimate penitence reasonable when not pushing high, or is it just way worse?
How do you feel about the seal of diurna?
I'm a beginner healer, one difficulty I have is frequently running out of radiance charges. game in pugs
Is there a way to set up Vuhdo for two specs? Am experimenting with priest rn as holy am wondering how setting up disc will work out.
Does the blossom work as a disc priest? Or is it not actually considered healing allies by damaging your enemies?
Great Video, what offhand would you use? Really enjoying disc
Anything with high haste. Lots of good options with crit or vers as the 2nd stay
guys i cant decide to choose disc or holy this season pls help also its really hard to play holy in mythics i cant handle heals now
As a disc, my damage to the boss should be going out at the same time as the boss deals damage to the group right? In other words: my ramp should finish right before the damaging ability from the boss/encounter starts. That would be the proper timing right? Awesome video btw :)
Yep thats right! You want to be hitting your Mind Blast or Penance righttt as damage hits the raid!
I've never played a helear but I'm thinking to dive into disc. Is this spec too hard to get into healer role ? Great video detailed and long enough. I had no idea about healing and priest but at least I got the basic understanding the gameplay style seems fun!
Give it a shot!
If its true that divine star and halo only converts atonement healing as only 1 target hit thats kinda lame 😢
Thank you for this! Cata has made me wanna heal on retail again after many years. Is there somewhere I can obtain your ui/addons and WA?
All in the description!
I see everyone recommending Vakash as a first or second bullion purchase. But is the bonus from Vakash really so valuable that you would use 2 bullions to buy a 1H weapon when you could just buy a 2H weapon for the same 2 bullions? I feel like later in the season, yes absolutely get Vakash. But early on when we're capped, wouldn't it be more efficient/beneficial to buy a 2H weapon and essentially cover 2 slots worth of stats? Being able to max out your 2H weapon slot as early as week 2 reset seems like a huge power spike compared to getting Vakash and still having to hope/find a Myth track off hand. If I'm missing something obvious, please tell me. But I just don't get how buying a 1H mace is just as expensive as a 2H.
on a 10 man hc raiding, roughly how many seconds before damage should I begin my ramp?
6ish seconds. 2x radiance, extend and start blasting
Is holy better for raid and disc better for m+? At least for vault with the way a lot of the damage profiles are it feels like holy is the better option but I have no idea. I’m just a noob. What do you guys think?
They're both really good this season
I'd just play whatever spec you enjoy more. The raids are all much easier than they were when they were released and the balance between Holy and Disc is shockingly good, which is rare. Personally, I like Holy in raid because I can always do decent healing. As Disc, I have to rely on other healers as I set up my ramp or when my pet isn't up. For M+ I always play Disc, since doing damage while healing is so intuitive. You can do well just by applying Atonement, then using Penance, SW: Death, and Mindblast on CD, and spam Smite. Doing damage is literally doing healing and bringing back your pet faster leads to way more healing.
Anyone know if blossom of amirdrassil is good or not for m+? It’s been helping but not sure if it was worth the bullions
Its okay, not worth the buillions tho
How do you mouse-over the ward of faceless ire trinket? I remember it didn't work for me without actually targeting the player
I setup a keybind in vuhdo by dragging the item into a spell slot
@@AutomaticJak then it should be working in Clique too. Must have messed up the macro last time I tried
are discs getting invites for pug m+ or everyone prefers druid ?
from exp disc priests get invited but get called bad healers
@Jak why did you put mastery higher for raid in your wowhead guide but in this video it's different?
They are the same?
On wowhead for raids you have haste>crit>mastery>vers
But in this video you have swapped the order between mastery and vers.
Does it matter or is it fine either way since it's lower end stat? Thanks in advance and thank you so much for all the info
i m confused.. the talents here in this video are diffrent then in WoWHead..
and i have big problem with using [Power Word: Barrier] i play with randoms and they never stay in my bubble they run away... is the other talent [Luminous Barrier] so bad for M+ dungeons? or did i misss something
How are they different? And nah luminous barrier is bad
Idk if i get something diffrent (my english is not that good)
there are 2 diffrent talent ponts. on WoW Head u have "Pain and Suffering" and here is "Indemnity"
and in WoW Head is "Painful Punishment" i know its not much but i got confused xD
does rakash apply towards attunement ?
Nah
Is it me or does disc feel really bad at the moment in m+? The burst healing just isn't there it feels like.
Jak.. What are you saying at 15:28 ? I'm trying to figure it out for like 10 mins now :D Word of what? xD
Ward of faceless ire - it's a trinket
i came here for a guide on how to use a disc preist but then relised i have no idea what this guy is talking about. i need a noob guide i guess lol
I'm just not understanding what he's saying about the mana costs of combining rapture and evangalism vs renews. The base cost of rapture is 7750 mana, and every PWS is 6000 mana. Renew is 6000 mana. You are spending the same mana regardless are you not?
Just for example, only because its in the clip while he's talking I'll use smolderon. Whats the difference if I combine rapture and evangelism for one of the soaks vs using rapture on the first soak to get to my 10 attonements before double rad, then on the second soak using renews and PWS's to get 10 attonements, double rad + evang?
On watching it again, I think maybe he means applying a miniramp with radiance vs renews and shields for a 10-15 attonement minirmap, but maybe I'm wrong. The way its all packed together is confusing.
The point I was drawing is that you’re committed to applying 10 manual atones in an evangelism ramp bc of the extension but you don’t have to in a mini ramp.
So if you use rapture you’re also not wanting to waste its value by applying less atones. So you stack those and apply more or less renews in mini ramps as mana allows
Really feeling yourself on this one huh
Huh?
It's pronounced bull-yuhn
for messing around in low keys for damage, do you think iceblood deathsnare would be a good option? or will the stat sticks still be better overall?
Thanks for the guide.
