I do care about James background, that is an important detail as knowing that Garrus family survives no matter what n.n

It would have been cooler, imo, that the decision on what you do with Sidonis decided on Garrus' family's fate. If you let Sidonis live, he would go on to sacrifice himself to hold off a reaper advance to allow Garrus' family to live as penance. If he was shot in ME2, you would later find two named Turian husks on Earth that Garrus would recognize

@@electroeel148 Luckly nothing bad happens if you kill him, cause some people may be like “Garrus is my pal, i would kill that man if that’s what he wants”
Plus Sidonis was a coward, he may regret and wants to pay, but yeah i think killing him is a mercy that i can’t afford to him, he must pay off by his own ends and if he suffers already then let it be

Honestly given what happened in the movie Mass effect Paragon Lost I would have loved them to have part of his personal story to have Treeya, for people who don’t know she was an Asari scientist that James was crushing on in the movie while stationed on fel prime before it was hit by collectors, the thing that the game never mentioned that when James had to choose to save the collector data or save the colonists, Treeya was in possession of it in one of those pods that the collectors put people in, the pod was hurtling through space and was about to burn up in atmosphere with her and the data, and that was when he had to make the decision, save Treeya and the data, or save the colonists trapped on the collector ship that was set to explode.
It would have been interesting to see the fallout of a relationship between James and Treeya since he would feel guilty about being with Treeya since it came at the sacrifice of the colonists and the data in the end amounted to nothing.
Like the decision might have been motivated by the greater good to use the collectors data to stop the collectors, but in the end the result only wound up with him getting with Treeya, and the circle of guilt that ensues kind of traps him and puts some distance between him and Treeya in ME3
He feels like his decision ultimately was meaningless, then he feels guilty because the alternative would have been to kill the women he came to love, but then he feels selfish that his happiness was bought by the lives of dozens of colonists, and he ultimately gets stuck torn between these things and Shepard in ME3 either helps him accept what happened and accept his happiness, or guides him to break off the relationship saying “you won’t be able to escape these feeling as long as you two are together”

I didn't know they attempted to talk about Vega's father. This actually the first time I've ever heard his dad being mentioned or referenced anywhere.

From what James tells Shepard about his family in the game, he's a lot closer to his uncle than his father. And he does sound conflicted about learning his father is safe. I've never read any of the ME comics, but I think there's more of James' family backstory there.

I’ve read the comic, his father is an asshole. He gets James to pick up red sand (drugs) for him.

@@Longtail626That's just great. Still... I suppose some family is better than none.
