Also, to do with the psychopaths committing crimes. The risk of developing aspd (responsible for psychopaths & sociopaths), can be reduced through properly caring for the people showing early signs. You actually can't be diagnosed with aspd until you're 18 and before that you'd get a diagnosis for conduct disorder which is like early stage aspd. And, through proper care and affordable therapy, the risk of these people going on to develop full-blown aspd can be severely reduced. This extends to so many other mental disorders as well; access to proper, affordable therapy for people to deal with their trauma reduces the risk of so many of the serious, violent crime mental disorders.

I think that Boggart using the iron balls, despite the fact that his signature ash, braggart's roar, overrides one of the things that makes the iron balls so great, shows that the choice of weapon was purely to look funny.

Thanks for doing a media literacy section about the treatment of prisoners! It's pretty important to me personally, and it was really nice to see the issue addressed and explained. Even if it was just in an elden ring video, prisoners get a lot of undue hate. Also the editing in these videos is SO clean and corey does deserve recognition for it. The experience watching is buttery.
I'm right-leaning moderate and I love the media literacy section. That is my favorite section. Tulok and I don't agree on a few things, but at least he's eloquent and funny. Keep it up. It's always good to hear other people's opinions, especially when you don't agree. Reminds you not to live in an echo chamber.

Had this exact conversation with a good coworker of mine today regarding the topic of the media literacy check. Cops can't prevent crimes so investing in them to reduce crime is pointless. If your goal is to reduce crime then invest in looking after people and caring for those in need so they don't end up committing crimes!

Other than changing the heavy moveset braggorts roar is arguably better than cragblade. It gives 10% extra damage, 10% total damage negation, and a massive stam regen. Also, if you got 2 balls and put them on both, just the weapon aow would give you 21% total damage negation 140% stam recovery. That stacks the 20% from the crabs and the buff from golden vow if you wanted.

I started a Fist run and consistently got frustrated that enemies were either a wierd shape and you can't hit them or they just move (rude) and I pivoted to Colossal Swords which I fell in love with. Embrace the big bonk.
I've been waiting for this one for a long time, even knowing you had to use Braggart's Roar instead of Cragblade. Because 1) I am one of those sickos that has ran around in this game in my underwear with these balls hanging out and covered in turds, having to have learned all the weird hitboxes and tricks to use them effectively (although regardless of whether I do Iron Ball or another weapon, I graduate to Star Fists once I hit Leyndell, and get whatever whetblade I need to change the scaling to what suits my build), 2) I knew you'd have a lot to say about Braggart's Roar defeating the entire purpose of having rapidfire charged heavies on a weapon, and 3) I knew that the media literacy section would be about the prison system in the US, and that it would be based af.
For all the babies in the chat, the musical accompaniment in the first chapter title card is Big Balls by ACDC. The joke here is that Boggart uses balls as a weapon, and, hilariously on our editor AndMango's part, the song is actually talking about balls, like events held in a ballroom. We should do media literacy for Dark Souls 3. I've seen a lot of people saying Sulyvan should've been the final boss because he was the main villain behind most of the plot. Which, yes, that's the point. Killing the bad guy isn't enough, we also have to dismantle the system that made him.

I've been waiting for this one for a long time, even knowing you had to use Braggart's Roar instead of Cragblade. Because 1) I am one of those sickos that has ran around in this game in my underwear with these balls hanging out and covered in turds, having to have learned all the weird hitboxes and tricks to use them effectively (although regardless of whether I do Iron Ball or another weapon, I graduate to Star Fists once I hit Leyndell, and get whatever whetblade I need to change the scaling to what suits my build), 2) I knew you'd have a lot to say about Braggart's Roar defeating the entire purpose of having rapidfire charged heavies on a weapon, and 3) I knew that the media literacy section would be about the prison system in the US, and that it would be based af.

The joke here is that Boggart uses balls as a weapon, and, hilariously on our editor AndMango's part, the song is actually talking about balls, like events held in a ballroom. Listen to the song, it's clearly about large-scale high-class social events. Quite humorous, indeed.

We should do media literacy for Dark Souls 3. I've seen a lot of people saying Sulyvan should've been the final boss because he was the main villain behind most of the plot.
